Try being 40 -- it's like WTF is going on these days?!?! The college experience must be radically different now than it was for me pre-internet. We actually had to go to the library for research back in those old days. And use an old-fashioned typewriter for papers. Oh, the torture.

78 days WHOO HOOO!!!! I know EXACTLY how hard that is.

I really want to live a binge-free life and I'm starting to think it just MAY be possible. Not that it won't be hard (alright, excruciatingly hard) sometimes, but I think it is worth it to aim for total abstinence from binging.

Thanks for the recipes. Have you used water in place of any of the oil? What do you substitute for oil to make something lower fat? I've rarely made my own dressings, but this sounds good. Also, I've noticed that your DH's hotness gets him off the hook an awful lot at your place!! Lucky guy!!

That sounds like one of my fav lunches also. Wasa bread (basically a big cracker) with tuna with seasonings, tomato and Peppercinis. I used to be a breakfast skipper also. Now that I eat breakfast regularly, I sometimes wake up starving? That's sooooo weird that you weighed so much less at the end of the day. At least your body released the fluids!

Really (as an article Suite posted a few back) as my eating has gotten better, my spending has gotten worse. Not horrible, just... worse.
You are in a very busy time in your life and things will be calm again. But, I relate with the spending issues when my eating is under control. I obviously have a very addictive personality and it's a constant struggle to maintain balance. I feel like I need to indulged myself in some way - so if it's not with food, it's with shopping and things. I'm being very diligent around paying down my cc's. And I haven't used a cc for months now. I actually set up an "extra" checking account and put a set amount in it each month and then use a debit card attached to it for online purchases or reoccurring monthly expenses that used to be going on a cc. BAD practice, I know. But I cannot use cc's anymore. I would have every intention of paying off whatever I purchased that month and then something else would come up... DH had never carried a cc balance before he hooked up with me and he married into some debt.

Did you have to share this with me? I've never noticed them there. My girls eat stuffed olives like crazy also. I get the double bottle at Costco often.

CONGRAT Tawnya!!! WTG!!!

I gotta get the girls breakfast and hit the gym.

It's rainy again today. The weather doesn't usu sally affect my mood. But, I' must say I'm getting a little batty with how soggy it is. Our power was out for awhile last night. Just nasty weather everywhere it sounds like.

Can I make suggestion about the eczema? It is a symptom of something else, not a cause in and of itself. If it is driving you crazy, then obviously you need to treat it. Many docs will stop there and not look for a cause because you are 'better'. Most of the time the cause is an allergy, often milk or wheat. You might try a rotation diet to see what helps.

Much better to treat the cause and be done with it!
Anna, I actually tried that route, but after my son was born, I developed insane allergies to massive amounts of things (all non food).

I really think it is stress that really agrevates it.

For money, whatever I can get. Mostly technical writing and public relations stuff. I dabble in sappy greeting cards as well.

For myself, I write poetry mostly. And the ever-present-never-to-be-finished novel.

OMG the freaking AC is acting up again here at work! You would think because I was born in Florida and went to college there I would be able to tolerate heat. NOPE! I can not stand to be HOT!

Thanks Josephine! I think abstinence is tough but we both should definitely aim for it. Of course it is something we will always be conscious of and it will be day by day/hour by hour/minute by minute (however you would like to think about it).

OMG..................I didn't know I was the biggest loser this week until now when i checked the weekly results and chats since yesterday. I am so happy. I didn't think I would make it. WooHoo. That's an extra push for me. I am so excited. I even posted my new pic on my myspace and my friend said that Onederland looks hot on me. And the other day when I was at walmart, I almost pushed my cart into a guy and he said oh excuse me, and I said the same thing and as I was walking away I heard him say under his breath, "wow, you're pretty hot!!!" I just kept walking pretending like i didn't hear him but it made me feel good.

Feel the same way! Now it's not "I deserve food." It's "I deserve this nonsense object." Not to the same degree food was... but still. One thing at a time...

I do know what you mean. Now, however, instead of "Can I find any information on this subject?" it's more like "Can I find any correct information on this subject that isn't just internet bunk?"

Obviously I'm not getting much work done today. I'm in one of those moods. I have so much to do I'm not quite sure where to start. Anyways, our team is dropping like flies. I quit last challenge but I am determined to keep going this time around.

I hate that overwhelming feeling of too much to do. I'm a list Queen . Helps me attack the things that need to get done.

I don't think it's just the Blue Team, though. We're almost halfway to the finish line, aren't we?

His hotness is overwhelming these days, what can I say? He's actually lost about 30 lbs in the past year just by being more active (biking and soccer mainly) and he just looks really good. I find myself just staring at him and drooling sometimes. Four years into our marriage and I feel like a love-struck teenager!

I've never tried substituting water for the oil. I usually just use as little dressing as possible. Maybe Anna has a suggestion?

Exactly. I'm finding nursing frustrating right now but she's not ready to be done. I'm putting her off quite often just as a way to stay sane and she's pretty good with the restrictions. After this morning she came downstairs and promised to keep her hands to herself.

Josephine - WTG on the binge-free streak!! Oh, and I peeked at the pics of your legs on your blog. Holy hotness! I'm jealous of your buff and tanned legs.

Tawnya - Congrats on being this week's winner!!!

So I've got a bit of a bug and I can feel it in my nose and throat. I've so far eaten five Vit C tablets and two raw cloves of garlic in an effort to keep it at bay. If I can stomach more raw garlic (and the residual garlic breath!) I'm going to eat some more. Any suggestions on how to get some garlic in me without eating straight raw cloves?
