Thanks for the info Anna....You're AWESOME!!! I do get between 46 and 50 miles on the Jetta. I love my little car, and I commute about 120 miles round trip three days a week, so the MPG really helps. I can go about 600 miles before I have to fill up. I will definitely take the time to look through that stuff. Better for me, better for the environment, what can I say?

Thanks again for the info!

HI! Our file project is done! Well, at the leat the part I have to help with! YIPPEE! I did not make it to the gym last night. My car started making this really weird noise (really, it did...not a lame excuse not to go!) of course, by the time dh took it for a test drive, the noise stopped....I'm glad, but was mad I didn't go to the gym. I did play w/ the dogs which was fun.

I will go to the gym today!

Me too! I have Def Leppard and Van Halen, Dolly and Willie, Sting and George Michael, Bonnie Raitt and James Taylor.....and a little Scorps when I need my butt kicked.

Chelle--I know a lot of those posts were made doing things that make my life better, so THANK YOU!

That is about what I get on my F250 running grease. Normally, it gets 14 in town and 20 on the highway.

Heya all!

Well, I finally figured out exactly what is causing my hip pain - my iliotibial and peroneum muscles! I'd say yay, but cheering for a strained mucle? No.

Anyway, from this I have been able to analyze what I'm probably doing wrong so that I can hopefully correct it. Time to swap out running shoes, for starters!

This is the kind of Wog I ment..."used for sailors during the Line-crossing ceremony on the first time they cross the equator." Dh is a shellback now..and he got his sparrows for crossing the equator in 2004. He's actually crossed it twice.

Great Job Blue Team!

tk--your gym sounds awesome! Mine is pretty basic and doesn't offer a lot of classes, yours sounds like a lot of fun!

I did get to the gym, had to cut it short b/c my knee was really bothering me. It's ok though, better than no workout, right!

Have a great evening everyone!

OK, so a little slower day around here today! I'm caught up now and able to finally take some time to post. I cannot believe that it's nearly time to make dinner though! Super easy tonight - Spinach Feta Turkey burgers.

It's a lovely grey and rainy day in SEA, but the weatherman is promising 84 degrees on Thursday! I've planned a play date for the girls with some friends at the park, so I hope it's really nice! Although, the girls are having a blast even in the rain - they are uncannily interested in slugs and earthworms which cover our backyard deck when it rains...

Yeah, like many others there was not water weight this time. I've been at this for 5 months now and while it's going slow, I'm happy with how it's going. Sure, I wish I could do it faster (and I could, I know if I was more limiting with my calories), but I'm living/eating/exercising in a manner than I can maintain for the long haul. I have set a goal for this challenge to loose approximately 2 pounds per week - so I'm 2 pounds short so far. I need to get off of all sugar again.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. It sucked to post a big fat 0 last week. But, I know what I'm doing isn't in vain. It's gotta be doing something. Actually, my scrubs were almost falling off of me yesterday, so I know somethings happening!

Then don't! I was thinking along the same lines of what Jill said about finding a group to meet with - there's all sorts of clubs. Do you like to scrapbook? Or bike ride? Or knit? Or want to learn something? Pottery? There's bound to be a club/group in Seattle that is all about one of your interests! And then I read Anna's post and I cannot say it better than she did:

I just tried Total 0% Fage for the first time. I like it It's actually much more reminiscent of sour cream than yogurt to me. I mixed in some fresh sliced strawberries and a spoonful of all natural strawberry spread. For 80 calories, it's a big container--bigger than 80 calories worth of regular yogurt, I think, plus I like it more than regular yogurt. Hurray for new healthy food finds!
I love this stuff too! It's almost like luxury food to me! I like it with a tablespoon of agave nectar in it.

Yep, that's how my PB sandwiches are also. I try not to open the jar very often though since I can easily eat it by the spoonfuls. Luckily, my girls do not like it, so I don't open it very often.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your new membership! They have dance classes at my gym also - Zumba (basically Latin) and Hip-Hop, but I've never tried either.

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT'S TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!!!

I bet you feel really good driving by all those gas stations and shmucks like me paying out the rear end for diesel.

I hate to get on a soap box here....but everyone is talking about the country's "economic slowdown" (as stated by our beloved president)...I call it a recession.... but I don't hear anyone talking about how diesel fits into that. My feeling on it is, that the high price of diesel is helping hold this economy down. If you think about it....how is everything in this country transported? All your groceries, supplies, unleaded gas....it's all DIESEL trucks that get us everything. And as long as diesel prices are through the roof....companies are going to have to charge more for everything in order to compensate. Just a thought....I just haven't heard any of the news sources talking about it at all, and it's been bugging me.

RANT OVER------

Sorry

Thanks for those links...you're sooo GREAT!!!

I'm starting to feel a little bit better right now. I took a nice long hot shower, and put on some freshly cleaned clothes. I pretty much just slept all day long and watched Juno after I woke up. I'm gonna watch 27 Dresses again. I need something cheery right now.

I'm just gonna blame this whole bad day/week on TOM.

Oh ya..what was that one website for housing in Maryland?? Dh wants me to start looking at houses to rent. He's gonna give me a price later on tonight. I thought I had the websites saved, but I cant find them now.
