Morning!!
I am so sleepy. Last night, right as the Bachelor was proposing to Shane, someone hit one of the fences around here and took off running. We live on a bunch of farm lands & fields and the woods right behind us. Whoever it was took off on foot, so we had a bunch of cops and guys with dogs searching the neighborhood all night long with their bright lights, sirens and stuff. I don't think they ever did find the fool. I hope none of the horses got out. I'm having another stressful week. Sometimes I think Jess puts me in these situations to see just how much crap I am willing to take from him. Sometimes I think he WANTS me to get fed up and leave him. I think if I had the $$, I'd be gone a LONG time ago..sad but true. We barely have enuff money to buy groceries, so we are having to buy what we can afford, which this week is a bunch of ramon noodles, mac & cheese, the Baquet Sliced Turkey & gravy dinners,hotdogs....You know, all that processed crap with tons of sodium that makes ya fat. It's making it twice as hard for me to lose weight over here. Why can't they make the foods that are good for you more affordable? Maybe that's one of the reasons why there's an obesity problem in this country.... |
Howdy! Congrats to everyone for giving this challenge the effort that you do. I have no doubt that we will see fabulous results!
Still sore over here from Jillian's 30 Day Shred, so yesterday after I finished my running for the day I went through Denise's Cardio Bootcamp. It was quite a bit easier than Jillian's (no strength stuff), but I still got a great workout. I'm not sure whether I should wait another day before trying Jillian's again. Is it okay to repeat the exercise if you are still sore? If I don't do the 30 Day Shred, then I'll probably do one of Denise's dance routines. Still on plan eating wise, though I've been having terrible cravings for chocolate ice cream and bread. Fortunately 1/4 cup only has about 9 carbs, so I've been staying within my carb allowance, but it still makes me feel guilty. Do you guys know how many carbs are in a bagel? 60! Crazy! If I eat just a half, it blows almost all my carbs. *sniff* :D I guess I'll stick to the ice cream! ;) |

Just a quick check in -- heading to the State Park for a hiking outing with my 5 year old and then off to my 8 year old's school to help out. At least I can't overeat if I'm not home!!! :dizzy:
Hope everyone has a great day. |
I'm getting too impatient for my signature, so I'm just going to stick it right into my post. :D

Good morning ladies~ Had a great workout day yesterday and an okay eating day. Isn't that the way it always is with me! My husband came home to me mowing the grass and almost collapsed to the ground. I don't mow the grass, but it's not because I'm lazy it's because every time I do my allergies go nuts. He has been getting up early though to go to the gym, so I figured I'd be nice. I've been riding him pretty hard about finding time for exercise. I think he finally figured it would be more peaceful at the gym at 5:30 am then to hear me nagging him:)LOL! I'm going to head out this morning to grocery shop. I tell ya I used to love grocery shopping, but lately it seems like just more work to me!LOL! We're pretty depleted over here though, so it's time. Today is a walk outside day, so that will be a 4.5 mile walk with SIL. This afternoon I'm heading over to my MIL's for lunch. No baby today...YAY! Have a great day ladies~
Shelby- Have a great day with the kids:) MonteCristo- Great job with sticking to plan. I'm going to check out some of those TBL videos. I've heard everyone talking about them. Diva- (((HUGS)))) girl! I thought you could use one today:) Do you know this was the first season I didn't watch the Bachelor, and everyone tells me it was one of the best. Did he propose to the girl. After the last one where he didn't choose either girl I kinda had it. I was so ticked off that I watched the whole season and then he choose neither girl! I surely hope Jess is not just trying to aggravate you...that would be awful! Although I sometimes do feel like Kev knows just what buttons to push and when to push them. I say to him though " are you looking for a fight" I then tell him " if so you know I'll always win"!LOL! That ususally ends it;) I hope things start looking up for you mama....Hang in there! |

Keep it up girl~ Kara- Hope you got to enjoy a bike ride! Melissa- I feel like I haven't chatted with ya in forever! This time around seems super busy doesn't it? How is your husband doing? I hope that's not what Jess is doing too, but good Lord, how much more can I take from this guy?? I already overlook A LOT, because I feel like I am not perfect and I have so much baggage. He saved me yanno? But dang.... I mowed the lawn here on Sunday, and that's when the crazy winds kicked up and OMG, all that pollen and whatnot, right up the nose and in they eyes. I thought I was gonna die But I do enjoy the exercise and how pretty the yard looks once I am done. :) |

As for me, I've been struggling the past few days. I lost my mother three years ago, so the days surrounding Mother's Day, and the day itself, are pretty hard for me. Then, I'm feeling stressed with my dad's financial situation and the fact that he is 55-years-old, jobless, and about to have his house foreclosed on. UGH! :?: It's a long story, but this is that's the bottom line right now. I try not to let it get me completely stressed out, but it's difficult. On the plus side, I haven't given up and am redoubling my efforts. Go RED!! |
Hello all. I'm having some stress in my work and home lives. I'm trying to eat healthy and exercise but am not doing great. I did lose this week which is amazing after looking at my weekend eating.
I have been a size 14 for about 4 years. None of my shorts or pants have been fitting and I went out and bought a couple of size 10 shorts this weekend. (I'm still not convinced they aren't size 12 but vanity sized!) You'd think that would have lifted my spirits but it didn't last long. The people around me in my life have been distant and withdrawn lately. I've just been extra lonely lately. I've been struggling with motivation to exercise. I'm frustrated with life in general right now. |

Karen I'm sorry you're having a rough patch but you know this will pass. Just remember how good you feel after you exercise and eat right. And I'm certain those were size 10 - that's what the label says so it must be! |
