I need you ladies to motivate me. I usually work out during the kids' nap time but they're all screwy today. My youngest (14 months) is having asthma problems and so her naps are messed up and didn't coincide with her brother's (2) and now the oldest (5) decided to take a nap although she almost never does and the youngest is up again. Crazy day. Plus I have a cold coming on. Not cool. I will need to work out tonight after they are in bed. HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE PLEASE! I will feel better if I just do it. It's so hard for me to do it at night though, I'm so tired and I just want to hang out with DH and watch TV.

Let's hope I check in tomorrow and say, "I did it!" :)

No hopes....you will do it!!! I believe in you!

Another thing, Jen - can you get your workout in when you first get home before the unmotivation kicks in? I find that if I let myself sit on the couch to rest, it's a lot harder to get back up and exercise, but if I change directly into my workout clothes and get some exercise in right away, it's easier to do. Just a thought!

Good afternoon ladies~ The kids had 1/2 day today, so the little ones went to school in the morning rather then the afternoon. I think Mattie is going to have a problem adjusting to getting up early next year for all day school!LOL! Of course today they had to be up early and they wanted to sleep in! I'm really tired today and not to sure why. It's really gloomy here though and that ususally puts a damper on my mood. My SIL and I made the gym yesterday. We were supposed to walk outside, but a storm blew up right when we were ready to walk. So we didn't just throw the towel in we headed to the gym for our cardio. Today I have to do weights and cardio. I'm planning on doing that after this. I have my meeting tonight and then after that I'm headed over to my SIL's to watch The Tudor's. I don't have Showtime, so she tivos it and I go watch it with her:) I love that show, but I love the whole royal court thing, so if that isn't your cup of tea you wouldn't like the show at all. Not much else going on. The baby has a pretty nasty cold which is making nap time pretty much non-exsistent. Hope your all having a great day~

Tina30 05-14-2008 02:01 PM

Melissa- Good luck with your interview today. I've got my fingers crossed for ya:)

Lonnie- Welcome back...your back OP now and that's all that matters~

Karla- Sometimes when I have to workout at home the kids join in with me. Now sometimes it's fun and sometimes I'm ready to break my neck from tripping all over them:) One of the main reasons I enjoy working out so much is because it gets me out of the house and into some peace and quiet, so it's never quite the same with the kids;) Glad you had a talk with hubby, and your feeling better!

bjeweled 05-14-2008 02:03 PM

GF, I LOVE that show! I'm a History geek so I just love stuff like. I have decided that King Henry is an a$$ hole though. I mean seriously, was he faithful to anybody? He changed the world with the whole religion thing just to fall out of love with Anne too? And what's to come for her, YIKES! You know back in the day they thought her a witch. I need to check to see when "The other Boleyn Sister" movie comes to DVD. When I was in college I wrote a 3000 word essay about Anne and got an A+! :D

Just stopping in to say "Hi" -- I'm so far behind on readings posts, don't know if I will ever catch up :(.

Spent today at preschool with Nicholas -- his "special day". It made me kind of sad -- last time I get to do this with him, off to school in the fall -- my baby!!

Hope everyone has a great day, completely OP!!!

ArmyWife02 05-14-2008 02:17 PM

well i am gonna try to keep up with the beach hopping as best i can...i saw that next week's is only like 312 miles or something.
well for mon thru today i have 355 minutes of exercise for this challenge. so i have to have at least 90.5 minutes on thur and fri to make this week's badge challenge. so i think i can manage it...my body is so sore for all the workouts, i'm pushing myself too hard too fast, but i'm having fun while doing it but i feel it later...

Sorry to hear about the asthma. My son fought with it when he was little.
Maybe ask your husband to go for a nice walk or a bike ride with the kids before relaxation time.

Tina30 05-14-2008 02:30 PM

Diva- I saw that movie and am currently reading the book...I tell ya it's FANTASTIC! One of my all time favorite movies. If your interested in the show, but don't have showtime go to the showtime website and you can watch them on your computer. I agree King Henry was a total jerk, but I tell ya in the show he is HOT HOT HOT! I just love the women's clothes back....heck the mens were pretty neat also. Just the thought of having ladies waiting on me...putting on my clothes, combing my hair, bathing me...ahhh I think I could get used to that:)LOL!

bejewled- Great job with being OP...like I told Diva if ya don't have Showtime check out the showtime website they play it on there:)

Duh Diva I just went back in read that you love the show, so that would mean you watch the show.....I'm a bit slow today!LOL!

I have showtime, but I just looked at their site (www.sho.com) and you cna watch the full episode online, but its only season 2, episode 1. and they're on like episode 7 or 8 now....so you'll need to pay for showtime if you want to see more than just the first episode of the season. sorry to burst bubbles....unless someone can find another site that shows the whole season ;)

Hi everybody,

I have decided that it is very unfair of me to put my team down by participating in this round of the BL challenge and with that being said I am dropping out. There is just way too much going on right now for me and in my personal life so I think I need to drop oput and be fair not only to all of you but also to myself. Hopefully, things will get better and if it is okay with everybody I could join the next challenge. You are all so wonderful and compassionate and I wish you all nothing but the very best. Melissa you are an awesome leader. Thanks for all your support and understanding. GO RED GO!!!
See you in the next challenge (if you still want me, that is!).
Ciao

We'll see you next round.

[quote=Andi18;2200062]Hey my red teamies!! Hope everything is going well. Just a quick flyby tonight as I am beat after boot camp.

Weighed in this morning and I am out of the 230s and was at 229!! Yeah, I am now only 11 pounds heavier than hubby who says he will not let me weigh less than him. We will see about that! I have not weighed less than him since before I became pregnant 9 years ago.

I had 4 people at work today say that I was looking a lot skinnier. Talk about boosting the ego! I think it may have something to do with the fact that I was wearing black pants and a black cardigan and heels. LOL They say otherwise! It's nice to hear compliments but I'm still try to getting used to it

It has EVERYTHING to do with the fact that you've been busting your butt Missy!!!! I am SO thrilled for you in that people are noticing and complimenting you. It is the best feeling in the world!

I can't wait until Wii Fit comes out later this month. It looks like it will be lot of fun. We just got Mario Kart Wii. It's fun, but doesn't do much for exercise,

I've been so busy this week. I'm doing fine with exercise, but my eating hasn't been perfect because there isn't much time to plan meals.

My family and a few of our homeschooling friends are putting on a Shakespeare play with our kids. The kids ages 4-13 are amazing as they memorize the difficult language. We're performing it on Monday. After that is over, I hope to have more time to focus on eating right. I also hope to have more time to write my thesis again. I want to get it finished before the end of June. If I can, I should be able to graduate in our fall commencement.

Jen, your play sounds amazing. What a great way to teach them about literature! For mothers day my gift originally was a Wii and the new WiiFit that's coming out....I don't do video games,etc... decided to forfeit it since it would be a waste of $ as that would be the only thing I did with it. My DD has a wii in her room but I refuse to go and workout in there. LOL I opted for new workout clothes, some new workout dvd's and some new walking shoes. I'm a happy girl. :)

I ususally eat a serving size now, where in the past I would have a HUGE plate of the reg pasta & bread. I also have zucchini and squash and veggies with my pasta meals and I totally skip the bread. :)

The good news is after my going off and yelling @ Jess yesterday morning, he was a bit humbled. Apparently when he came to tell my bye and I love you in the morning before he left, I didn't hear him at all, so he left thinking I hated him, lol! He called me from work to see if I was still mad, and was all lovey dovey last night. Maybe I shd yell at him more? ;)

As for a challenge, I'd like a points or money thing. Maybe 1 point/dollar for every minute exercised. 10 for remaining OP, 5 for getting the water in, and bonus points for trying something new (veggies, a new exercise or whatnot) geared towards something or someplace. Like so many points/dollars and at the end you get a new Exercise equipment, Jewelry, a day @ the Spa or beauty Salon, or go to a fabulous beach...Maybe a real life reward that YOU can aim for yourself...something like that.

I love the idea of points/dollars! Would be nice to earn some new stuff that way and not feel guilty. LOL at your afternoon with Jess. Sounds SO much like me and dh. Gotta love it when they get lovey dovey though.....the world is at my feet that way! :D

Jen, so glad you are safe! Betcha wish the office was off limits tho', eh? ;) C'mon, even just a tiny bit????? LOL
