What a terrible woman! And she's a nurse? Man, that just makes my blood boil and I don't even have to deal with her!

Oh, team captain, my team captain?
Do we have a new challenge in the works? The Push Challenge ends this Saturday and I am REALLY hoping to kick my own hiney there but I need a new goal to start planning for too...
(I know, I know, I'm in a hurry, but wow, I am REALLY getting a lot out of the challenges and the beach hopping and the biggest loser in general!)

I finally got my exercise Dvds! I went through Jillian's 30 Day Shred yesterday, and boy was it rough! But I made it through, though I did have to take a couple of 5sec breaks during the strength segments. My upper body is pretty sore today, so I'm going to wait a day before going through it again. I guess I'll go with some other cardio workout after I run. I can't wait to find out where we are headed this week. I like to plan my workout numbers so that I can have one relatively free day, but not knowing the goal makes that a bit tough! ;)

Good mornin! !!

Hoosierheather: I too have a plan to fit into some brand new capris (bought em last year) I can do them up- but barely!
CSchick & heather:I love lost!! I can only watch it by the season though ( when they come out on dvd) since I dont have TV...but I go on a 'lost' binge, and watch til my eyes hurt! so addicting!!
Diva- turn that frown upside down! You'll rock the weigh-in soon with all that crazy exercise you do! You def. should ride the roller coaster! it took me a looooong time to get on one, but they are SO FUN!! :)
Hun.e.b._ happy grad! way to go! Ill be happy to see you back on here more now that youre not so busy! :faint: lol
Tina- when are you going to Vegas? Is it for a holiday? Hows the 'baby' sitting going? how old is the baby? would a swing help? My baby swing really saves my sanity.....
Stephanie:...I hear you on the housework! lol, and you WILL do great on your weigh in next time!!
ANdi- glad to hear you are feeling better! Good luck on your run, and all that driving!! :dizzy:
Joyce- 1/2 lb-It is still a loss! :cheer: Sending some cheering up vibes your way!
Catherine-sorry for your loss :( I find it hard to control my eating at times like those too..... Hope you have a good day
agathachristie- Hi! glad to see you! Way to go on 3 lb loss! And :cheer: on working on running!! That is a great accomplishment!
Cathy: Good job on your eating out this weekend! What is ww core? And what do you like to read? I love reading!
Vanetta-Woohoo! :bravo: Onederland!!
Kelly- Thanks for the energy! lol I can use some!
bjeweled-Maintaining is still great! ;) And GO GIRL! you can get those badges!

I had a good weekend...still helping my parents move (man they have a LOT of stuff:dizzy: ) and went out to our property again...only got a little stuck this time...lol...but started to unpack some stuff and get ready to live there again soon. Pretty much took a day off from exercising yesterday, and am feeling lethargic today! I will be so glad to get my to do list done today, then i can start doing my scrapbook, and some more gardening! My dogs are driving me crazy staying in town....they are not used to being tied up...at least I am getting xtra exercise walking them everyday!
I am having mixed feelings about losing weight....i have been 'big' for most of our marriage (i was 55 lbs lighter at our wedding) and i know my hubby has always wanted me to get back to around that weight, so when i got motivated this time around, he said he would take me to mexico, or anywhere i want to go if i lose the weight...great incentive, but then on the weekend we were hanging out with some friends, and the husband said to my husbandm "dont be so foolish, go anyway!" and then i was thinking about how i do feel 'unworthy' sometimes, -that Ill get a new wardrobe, and this trip, when i lose weight, but I am still a great wife right now, at this weight, ann at my highest weight, when i was prego.
So i guess I just feel mixed up, since I want to lose weight, but I feel hurt that people (and my husband) often put so much stock on what you look like/ weigh, and that once I lose weight, I will magically change and be "worthy' of compliments, gifts, trips, etc.....
I did lose 50 lbs once before I met my husband, and remember having a little angst regarding these things, but maybe since I have a few years on me now, I look at it differently....anyways, sorry for the :tantrum: , and the long post...just had to get that out there....
What is our finishing day of our "pushing it " challenge?
Have a great day!
Karla :df:

Karla- We're going to Vegas for a week in June. This will be our first time going, so I'm super excited. My SIL and BIL are going with us and it will be their 6th time, so we have our own personal tour guides:) With 3 children though getting away with just Kev for a week is going to be heaven! Babysitting is going pretty good...thanks for asking. He is 6 months old and a little sweetie. I'm just not used to babies anymore. My baby will be 5 in the fall. I'm only watching him until the end of this month though, so I'm almost done. I told my sister that I won't give up my whole summer. He doesn't go in the swing anymore, but he loves his exer-saucer(sp?) I totally get where your coming from with weight loss=worthiness. I'm the one who put that on myself though. I always thought when I loose the weight I'll be so much more happy and yada yada yada...it's just not true. I do feel better and I have more energy, but I'm still the same me with the same problems I had 65 lbs ago. Sometimes men just say things and they come out the wrong way. Maybe you could voice to your hubby your feelings so he knows where your coming from. I hope you get to your scrapbooking, doing something you enjoy is always so much more fun then those "to do lists"!LOL! Have a great day hun~

This woman is terrible. She is always going on and on to all of us that are trying to lose weight. She goes on about the scale isn't accurate so we might as well not count on what it says. Who cares, if you go by that scale and are always dropping weight. Does it really matter if it is accurate. She refers to over weight woman as really fat woman. She just isn't a nice person in general. She is mean and nasty in other ways too to all the patients. When I said to her well if I had stayed the same the scale would have read 147 and it doesn't it says 143 so I still lost weight. She said ya but it could have said less than that couldn't it. Just not nice at all.

OMG! I would want to slap her...heck, I just might if it were me.;) But still, she's a very nasty, unhappy bitter woman, and I'd tell her that and that you want nothing to do with her. If you work with her, if what she has to say is not work related, tell her to zip it!

Yes me too. I've just discovered "sneak peeks" on youtube and we watch them all but feel like we've already seen at least 1/4 of the upcoming episode. I have no idea what I'll do with myself all summer with no Lost to look forward to. :) If you ever head over to Lostpedia, my screen name there is Pene. (Yes I only realized later that it means penis... it's how we shorten our baby's name when we type it... :) )

I finished the Bob Harper! Woohoo. Okay so a few times when he says "for an extra challenge, JUMP!" I didn't jump because I knew I'd never finish if I did it 110% the whole time. But now I know I can finish it if I do 80% so I'll build up to doing the full-on version eventually.

just seeing if this will work...:)
theres me and my boys(lil while ago though..)

shelby897 05-12-2008 03:24 PM

Very cute little boys -- how old are they? I miss the babies (okay, until I remember the lack of sleep!!). I have two boys too.

I weighed in today and was down 1.6 at WW, which is good considering my mother's day excesses. But, the kids and I had a great hike in the morning and it was a pretty nice day -- so I can get past the bad food choices.

No time for personals and there are just too many posts to catch up on!!

Hope everyone has a great day :D

I havent checked in at all this past week..we had another death in the family ( 2 this month), so its been pretty rough. I was down a pound, surprisingly, since I ate... well, I fell back to my old ways of eating when stressed, lets just say that.

Its been terrible, I just cant seem to resist comfort food ( AKA bad food) when I'm down, crying or stressed. Has anyone mastered this? And now I'm stuggling trying to get back OP, so I can get back to losing the weight..ugh.

Sorry. Had to vent.

Hope everyone else has a good week!!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. Take it easy. Take care of your family and you will get back hard core to it when things have calmed down. You and your family are in my prayers.

If I worked with her she would be dead by now lol. She is one of the nurses at my doctors office. You know, the place you go for support and information to stay healthy lol

Well, I'd totally have a speaking with the doctor or office manager about her.

I am so sorry for your losses. Hang in there. OH and this is exactly where you need to come and vent. :)

WTG Vanetta! Welcome to ONEderland! :cp:

Well, when it rains it pours here. As of last Friday, Jess needed two new tires for the truck. He has absolutely NO luck in getting them this weekend, so was going to look at some places in the town he works in...Well on the way to work this morning, he got a flat tire, and it wasn't on the two that need replacing. Poor guy, now he needs 3 new tires! OMG! Like we can afford this...

So, this means Matt will have to ride his bike to and from school all week because Jess needs my car. I guess it's not so bad, but it's on a dangerous road where everyone drives like maniacs, so theres some extra worry for me. YAY, As if I don't worry enough as it is. But it also means if I want to workout @ my GYM, I'm gonna have to ride my bike (3 miles there and back). I guess there's no time like the present to start training for a triathlon eh? LOL!

The doc is even worse. She looks like she is so sick she is going to die any min she is so thin. I swear she bent over to pick up a pen and you could see bones sticking out thru her pants. When she told me a year ago the meads were pretty much out of my system and I could TRY to lose weight I was happy. She wasn't very encouraging and told me it could take years to get meads weight off. This very same woman when she realized I had lost over 50 pounds in a year told me I wasn't trying very hard or I could have taken more off lol. You can't win for " losing " with this woman.

Diva 05-12-2008 06:06 PM

Hmmmm, I'd be looking for anew doctor gf. Seriously. I'd tell her from here on out, if you stay with them, that you do not wish to discuss your case or anything else with her. Then hand her a How To Be Nice & Compassionate for Dummies book. :p
