Good Morning Ladies (and Gents) -
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommy's out there ;) I am soooo looking forward to tomorrow so I can start workout out again. I was good on my eating this weekend and ate mostly healthy yesterday (that mac n cheese got me) but all my snacks were good (grapes or low fast sherbet).....and the scale is being nicer as the days pass by.....may have to change weigh ins to sundays if this keeps up :) i was just so excited about my new scale i got friday night that i just couldnt wait any longer :D LOL who'da thought?! me excited over a scale and new workout clothes and weights ;) i got lots for my mom's day gifts and annv gifts from the store (all for workouts).....and now time to figure out what to get hubby for our annv next saturday.... off to have a healthy breakfast :) |

HAPPY MOMMY'S DAY TO ALL THE MOTHER'S OUT THERE :hug:!!!!!! I weighed in and I lost 3lbs :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::c arrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: Thank god I finally got rid of that stupid bumper number (280) I don't ever want to see that number again in any shape or form...LOL! I'm on vacation in the Pennsylvania Mountains. We've decided to stay an extra day so I'll be coming home on Tuesday. We rented a villa...It is so beautiful here! I Nature and the Woods! Anywho...What does everyone have planned for Mother's Day? Gotta run. I'll hop back on here tonight, and catch up with everyone. Enjoy your day and be good to yourselves!!!!!!!! |
I'm busy washed hubby;s uniforms and all the laundry - it's laundry day....and need to fix us some breakfast still...been playing online while waiting on the clothes ;) LOL
but probably just some cleaning and the laundry for today. hubby wants to try to fix his boat himself and maybe take me out on it (for the first time) on saturday (which will be our 6 yr annv)....fun fun ;) have a great day everyone :D |

Not lost any over the weekend but maintained. Gotta kick myself in the booty and get going again today. I'm going to my Mom's later on for dinner. My sister is in charge of the lasagna and me the bread and salad. Since I'm a veg I have to bring my own pasta!! Oh well helps with the calories :-) |
Happy Mother's Day, y'all! Am doing laundry and catching up on here. I've had a great weekend so far, although my body is holding onto my weight! I know it's water, so I am just flushing it out!

Happy Mother's Day to all! I had a good week, lost 2.5 lbs... I believe I can attribute some of that to participation here. While I may not have kept up with the challenge demands each day, I DID do something...especially the balance exercises. And have seen vast improvement there already...apparently I was somewhat right side unbalanced! Not as much now. :lol:
I decided that my exercise needed to be bumped up a notch and have started some strength training exercises and actually did some jogging yesterday as I took my walk in the woods. (where no one except the woodland creatures could witness my feeble attempts!) I would walk a bit, then jog for a minute--yes I counted! Recover by walking, then another minute. I got 5 one minute jogs in my 30 minute walk...that will be my starting point. My one knee is feeling it a little, so I'm not going to do that every day, but overall, it did feel good! Question: I'm finding that it's extremely hard for me to keep up with posting on more than one thread, so I'm going to stick with this one for sure, and at least try to follow along on the others. Is this OK? Wishing all continued success, I'm sending a virtual pat on the back and a "keep up the good work" to my fellow RED TEAM mates! Thanks for the help and inspiration! |

My weekend has been great so far - even though that darn scale isn't budging. I went to a Pilates class this morning and loved, loved, loved it! I'm really enjoying my new workout strategy. I usually go at it full force and burn out by Week 3 - this time I started off small and am gradually building up. It started with walking and then last week I added a couple of Yoga classes and this week I've added a Pilates class. Anyway off to celebrate Mother's Day with my family - hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend! |

I had a good week of exercise with Jillian and walking. Haven't lost any weight even though I've been OP most every day -- we'll see how it goes by Tuesday which is my weigh in day. Could be TOM water retention (ugh). |

Mandey Sounds like a busy day at your house I actually stayed up last night to get all my chores done so I could blow today off!! Hope you get out on the boat for your anniversary. Kat Look at you, dropping all the weight!! Woke up to breakfast in bed, some Bath and bodyworks baskets, a black lab lawn ornament and the best part - some cash to spend anyway I want!! The kids and I took a 2 mile hike to get Christopher some stuff to build a house at school and we played in the stream. Very nice day!! Hope everyone has an awesome day! |
Hello Red Team! I somehow managed to squeeze out a 1 pound loss haha. Not complaining though because I thought I wouldn't be able to lose anything this week. I was sick this week and missed a few days of exercise, but I am feeling better now.
My old computer died, so I went out yesterday and got a new one and I am in love! I got an iMac! It's awesome but I am still figuring it all out :) This week my goal is to lose 2+ pounds. I am sure I can do it, no problem. I am 8 pounds away from my mini goal and that feels good. I'm going to have to skip reading all this posts from this past week and just focus on this thread because I am so far behind. I hope everyone is doing awesome - I spied and saw a lot of losses for this week - congrats!!! |
Hope all the moms had a great day. :) My husband made french toast this morning. Thankfully for my waistline he's a horrendous cook and one tiny piece was PLENTY. :)
I posted a small loss this week - 1.5lbs - and this next week hope to do better and get back into the swing of exercising. My husband has a crazy schedule and so I've not been carving out enough time for myself to exercise. I feel so crummy when I don't work out, that regardless of weight loss or gain, I just want to do it to feel good! |
lol...Well so far today, I have done most fo the laundry, including hubby's uniforms; unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, washed the big items they wont fit in the dishwasher, vacuumed the rugs downstairs (and got up all the kids' crumbs and the dog's hair), and cleaned the toilets and sinks/counters in all three bathrooms...still need to clean the tub. and i have taken all the trash and recycling out this morning while hubby left to get his hair cut.
and fed the dog...well, need to go and finish my laundry. mom called and me and abigail have talked to her, now she's talking to hubby for a few minutes.... no breakfast in bed for me...i got up at about 8am with the kids and hubby woke up and came down stairs by 930am to get dressed and go get his hair cut. (he's pulling 24 hr duty tomorrow and needed a clean cut) :) lol |

I am down another 1.6 this week (1.13%) so I am thrilled (that is 4.6 (3.0%) for the challenge ):D I talked to my Mom for 3 hours on the phone and I expect the kids to call later tonight. I love Mother's Day! It makes me sad that I am not able to visit with everyone in person, but I AM thankful that we can still spend time together via the cell phone. Hope everyone is having a fun day! Enjoy it and give an extra hug to those that you love :) |

Here we are, beginning week three! How exciting. One pound down, I am happy with that. I have to say that the Beach Hopping exercise challenge has been great so far! I don't normally track exercise and it has been fun to see how much I am doing. The Pushing-It challenge is proving....challenging...I have been really happy to see the push-up number increasing. I need to start focusing more on the other exercises now so that I hit my goals with them as well. Hope everyone had a great mother's day and that your week is off to a great start! GO RED TEAM! |
My official weigh-in date for the challenge is Saturday, and unfortunately I was up 2.2 pounds (305.8). Thankfully, this morning my weigh in was 301. After 5 days of up or no loss, I'm finally losing again. Too bad it was too late for the challenge. Hopefully, next week's weigh-in will show a big loss for our team.
The great news is with one more pound gone I will be at 60 pounds total loss since Jan 02,2008. And with only 2 more pounds and I'll finally be under 300. I'm gonna be so happy! :broc: |

Hope all you moms had a good mothers day. I'm only the mom to 2 cats. :) Yesterday was my 1-year weight loss anniversary. I took the weight from my last weigh in calling it 105lbs in one year. Not so shabby! Hopefully I'll have a small but decent loss to report in the morning. Hope you have a great start to the new week! |

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Hope all the lovely ladies here had a wonderful mothers day. Sure glad the weekend is over. Will tell you about it tomorrow. Congrats Melissa I am pretty happy with myself. The docs offices scale was re calibrated last week. When I went in friday the snotty nurse that tells everyone how they should add a few pounds because the scale is alwasy off said to me, " You better add 5 pounds to what you weighted because that is how much the scale was off. Well I weighted in a 1 pound more than I had the last time I was there lol. Which really means a loss not a gain but it will all come out in the wash so I am ok with that lol. Wish they had re calibrated right before our first weigh in so my starting weight for the challenge would have been right lol. I thought I had been loseing weight lol. My first weigh in should have been 147 instead of 142 so now 143 is pretty good for me. |

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mother's out here!! My mother's day has been an up and down day. Woke up not feeling well, my husband took me to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe, I ordered an egg white, ham, cheese, & broccoli omelet, fresh fruit, and a carrot muffin. The only thing I could stomach to eat was the fresh fruit. I've only had that, plus about 1/4 of the muffin, a couple of chips, and a protein cookie. I think I either have the 24 hour bug or food poisoning, hopefully nothing more serious. I need to be running outside this week and if I'm sick I'm not going to be able to. I have the 5k next Saturday already. Here's to hoping I wake up tomorrow feeling 100% better. I probably should not have attended the arena football game today, but it was so much fun. |
I broke my fever this morning around 4:30, gosh I hate that feeling! Sweaty yet cold, can't get comfortable. I'm still not feeling the greatest but I'm going to try to make it to work. I hope everyone has a great Monday! Oh and I had a 3 pound loss for this week! I'm sure a lot of it has to do with yesterday :( Not the way I want to lose, but it's a jump start to they system.
Plan for the week: Monday: Jogging with my son outside if nice otherwise on the treadmill Tuesday: Boot camp with M&A Wednesday: Jogging with my son outside if nice otherwise on the treadmill Thursday: Boot camp with M&A Friday: 6.5 hour car drive to ND (may have to get a jog in in the morning) Saturday: 5k starting at 8:15 am CT (son's 1.2 Youth Run starts at 4:20 pm Sunday: 6.5 hour car drive to NE (talk about a short weekend!) all of this driving for 40 minutes of jogging...doesn't seem right! :lol: |

Good morning all! How was everyone's weekend? DH and I had a nice day yesterday. my FIL came over to watch the kiddos and dh and I got to take a motorcycle ride. We went up to Oklahoma and he took me to a cat fish restaurant there. It was excellent food, just waaaay of the diet. I guess it doesn't hurt to splurg every once in a while huh? :) I was pretty bummed. I weighed myself friday morning and I was down to 156, but this morning for weigh in, I was 157. It is that TOM for me, so that is probably the reason still, a bummer. Should have good numbers for next weigh in tho! Well, since I took the day off yesterday for mothers day, I have some SERIOUS house work to do today. Looks like a tornado went thru my house! I hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ladies~ I hope everyone had a great weekend. Kev and I went hiking Saturday, and had a fantastic time. It was nice just to be alone with him. Yesterday I went to church with my mom and then we went over to Kev's moms later in the afternoon. Nice realxing day overall. Eating wasn't the best this weekend, but I'm ready for a good week. I have to weigh-in still for this week. I'll do that after this and post my weight. After this weekend though not sure how good it's going to be. I'm headed back to the gym today though. My SIL decided to at least make the gym twice a week and then the rest of the days we'll walk outside. I just think we need to mix it up a little more, so hoping to do that in the gym. Vegas is getting closer and closer...can't wait. Well I should get moving along over here. Have a great Monday everyone:)

I'm back to being committed today. I'm not sure why the change. I'm down .5lb since a few days ago when i weighed in officially so I'm happy - maybe that spurs me on. I've had a lot of setbacks in the last two months - unexpected death in the family leading to extra travel (and it's very hard for me to stay OP around my family :( ), then I had shingles and was not allowed to exercise (frankly who wants to with that pain?) but hopefully no one will die for awhile now and the shingles is gone! My non-scale goal right now is to wear these cute bermuda shorts memorial day weekend. They are too tight to zip (at least if I want to keep breathing!) right now, but I'm hoping to post a picture of myself in them at the end of the month! |
Tina, I am just bummed because the scale went up again...it is doing that thing again where I go up and down the same 4 to 5 lbs...sigh... I know I am still sore from all that walking on Sat, and then the Yard work yesterday. I am also retaining water, because my ring that usually slips off is stuck, lol!
Anyway, what did everyone do with their weekend? Friday....same ole same ole... Sat: Went to Dollywood, had a wing-ding. :D The food @ the company pic-nic sucked so we ended up paying WAY too much for food in the park. The food is so good @ Dollywood, but OMG! WAY overpriced. Dolly is financially raping people. Got soaked on 2 of the water rides. I still have yet to get the balls to ride a roller coaster, lol! O'well....maybe next time. Sun (Mother's Day): Jess got me some more flowers for my garden, which is what I wanted anyways. I'd rather get flowers that will live all summer rather than ones that will die in a week or so. Mowed the lawn & did yard work, then the wind kicked in and now it feels like winter is back. :dizzy: Chilled the rest of the day reading (Bob's book) & watching movies. Jess cooked me dinner. :) |
Well I lost a whole whopping half a lb. I really wanted more with all the exercise I did last week. Guess I'll have to try harder this week.
I'm so depressed today. I just want to crawl in a hole. I'm still going to try my best to stay on plan today though. Tomorrow will be better. Have a great day everyone. |

I havent checked in at all this past week..we had another death in the family ( 2 this month), so its been pretty rough. I was down a pound, surprisingly, since I ate... well, I fell back to my old ways of eating when stressed, lets just say that. Its been terrible, I just cant seem to resist comfort food ( AKA bad food) when I'm down, crying or stressed. Has anyone mastered this? :lol: And now I'm stuggling trying to get back OP, so I can get back to losing the weight..ugh. Sorry. Had to vent. Hope everyone else has a good week!!! |

Half a lb is nothing to sneeze at! Celebrate every single time that scale moves in the right direction no matter what the increment! Sometimes when we are really kicking but (especially with exercise) the scale just isnt gonna move for awhile. Thats because with that exercise you are building up your lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories than fat and is denser. So you may have lost more lbs in fat but with that addition of muscle it wont reflect on the scale, thats why measurements are so important! You still lost and that is FANTASTIC!!! Way to go on a successful week!! Feel better soon! Dont give up on your goals! We can do this! |

We did go out to eat with dh's mom and sis at Outback and I did really well. It's nice to have some of the bloomin' onion and a piece of bread but not go piggy with it. :D I have lowered my WW points to 25, from 28, I tore out all the flex and core menus out of my WW mags to use as guides. I'll try the points this week and see how it goes as I've been comtemplating switching to core. Well I better get, got some errands to run. Oh, stamps went up 1 cent today. :rollpin: so I need to go by the post office and get some 1 cent stamps. |
Hello Ladies....I hope I'm still in the challange! I totally forgot that we need to participate in the chats, and it slipped my mind. I am very excited that I lost 3 lbs last week (yay me!) and hope I can keep it up.
I started running last week (or least trying to)...lol...I am trying to train myself (yikes) and I have been working on 30 second sprints. I started with 4 sprints and I keep trying to add another sprint each time. I will be working up to 45 second sprints soon, hopefully. Wish me luck! Yay Red Team, we are doing great!!!! |
Agathachristie - I was exactly your weight when I started running too back in January. I can now run over an hour! Just keep alternating walking and running and increase it a bit each week. It seems impossible at first, but you'll get there. Congrats on starting!
