Yea! Single girls with no kids unite. Okay I'm joking, just feel like the only one on here sometimes!

I'm confused about the leg thing also. If we're supposed to lift it to a 90 degree angle I'm screwed

Here's what Melissa put in the challenge thread. I had the foot that was off the floor folded under me instead of holding it out to the front off the floor. I'm anxious to compare my numbers by doing it each way!

Edited for Heather: my interpretation is that as long as it off the floor at all it counts. I suppose part of the challenge could also be to see how much further off the floor you can lift it by the end too.

ohhh....I did the stand on leg thing wrong too. I will redo tonight!

As for the single thing. I have 2 kids....3 if you count DH (he's the biggest whiner!) but before when I was without I really did treat myself. I too didn't have much growing up so it was like I was a child in a candy store. I bought all kinds of clothes, had my hair done all the time, fingers and toes all pretty. Love it! Embrass it. Although my kids and family are awesome.....I miss that time in my life. It's like the song "your gonna miss this" Better stuff will come along, but you will look back and think I wish I treasured this more!

Single with no kids too! Well...I am in a LTR and have a baby - dog!

Thanks for the good thoughts, Diva. The vet called and he is okay. I can pick him up in a few hours!

Ksk571 - Since you are going to a beach in June, you could reward yourself with a really nice pair of sunglasses or flip flops? I collect designer sunglasses... hehe.

You may reward yourself any time you want because you are single with no children lol. I love my kids, I really do ( HEY I SAID I REALLY DO ) BUTTTTTTTT, they are now 17 and 21 and I am glad. I did my time and I loved every min of it but now is coming to the time that is MY time. I did without for all those years so I could make sure they had while I walked around with holes in my socks, no hair cuts, my nails a mess and makeup hey who could afford that. Now is mememe, that might sound bad but it isn't. There comes a time in life when we go into a new era for our selfs. Mine is coming and I am going to love it.

When things fall by the way side a bit, like our eating. All we can do it get back on track. None of us are perfect, ok I tell my kids I am as near perfect as they are every going to come across lol, but that is a fact. None of us are perfect, we try, we pick our selfs back up and we keep on trying. Nice going on the exercise.

Perhaps. - I do overbuy for my nephew and my sister gets on my case about it! ) I can't think of anything that would be something I may not just go out and buy for myself on any given week. I have to really think about what I want to do. I am going to an actual beach for vacation the first week of June. I wonder if there's anything I could do to prepare for that? Hmmm?

Disclaimer - I have periods in my life that I've really gone without and maybe that's why I let myself splurge so much now. I do not live outside of my means. Inner dialog: I hope I don't sound like a selfish, spoiled brat because I don't *think* I am!
Karen you should reward and splurge on yourself when you can! I wish I had done that for myself in my lifetime! So...maybe if you feel like you do alot for yourself already, maybe you can decide that when you meet your goal, you will donate $20 to a local charity! Or you will buy some pretty flowers and go to a retirement home and give everyone a flower. So really you get double the reward!! You get the benefit of the exercise PLUS the good feeling of brightening up someones day. Just a suggestion!

I missed you asking for it!! I was waiting for one of the Jen's to post the crochet one she said she had, the one I planned on doing looks like this....

http://www.makingfriends.com/jewelry...let_spiral.htm but I'll just use red satin cord.

I use a Polar F55 heart rate monitor. I don't know what I'd do without it. It really helps keep me working out at the right intensity, and it's so much easier than trying to count your pulse while you're bouncing up and down. You can buy hrm's at most sporting goods stores and I've even seen them at Target. Polar has several different models and they have a nice chart on their website that can help you choose which features you want.

Good evening Guys and Gals!

I hope everyone had a really great day! My day has been pretty much just relaxing. I didn't exercise today. I wanted to give my back a rest. Yesterday after my cardio workout I went and cleaned the My room wich was a total disaster! It took me hours...that was a workout in itself. I'm totally on plan again today. I can't wait to weigh in on Sunday although TOM is due on Monday..LOL! Just my luck!

How is the weather by everyone? The weather by me is horrible! It's been like this since yesterday. It's not going to get better either. It's supposed to rain all weekend Anyway..I have some things to do so I'll hop back on here before bed for some chit chat . I hope everyone enjoys their Friday evening!

mothermavis~ CONGRATS on the 3lb weight loss!!!! Thats AWESOME!

Diva~ I know what you mean about the leg muscles. I noticed mine for the first time in years while I was sitting in bed. It's stuff like that, that keeps me going. I'm glad that your feeling better! How do you like the belly dancing? I heard that it really works with shedding the pounds.

Tina30~ I love storms too! I LOVE the rain! Especially when I'm in bed at night. It relaxes me and puts me in a good mood

Catherine~ I hope you feel better!

Kara~ I'm glad everything went okay at the Vet!

Rennie~ I can't wait until my Daughters are that age! I can't wait to have "me" time!

This is just my luck! I finally have the time to sit and read ALL of the posts and actually reply back and nobody is on! LOL! Well I guess I'm the only boring person home in front of the computer on a Friday night LOL! I'm going to finish folding my last load of laundry and then hit the hay. I hope everyone's having a good night!

You're not the only one! I just got back from my bike ride and then I cooked dinner.

That means I exercised three separate times today - once at the gym, once at the dog park and once tonight biking by the canals! I'm feeling pretty awesome and I only have 76 more miles to go to make it to the first beach. Not bad considering I didn't log any miles yesterday!

And if you're done at your house, ThisTimeIsDifferent, I have a whole house full of cardio for you to do! I'll even help you if you want! :-)
