Good morning everyone!

I think I am going to do my weigh-ins on Sundays instead of Fridays. I feel like I am ripping myself off by doing it two days early. So this week I am going to edit my number, assuming I stay down another pound like I am now.

The good news is I am officially out of the 190s and I hope to never see them again! I slept for 9 hours last night so I think that helped a lot too. I had been so tired this whole week, with my stupid washer/flooding ktichen debacle and just work. I have a very stressful week coming up, so I am trying my best to relax this week so I can tackle my **** week with a little confidence.

Today we have my FIL's birthday party and they're making tacos (homemade). Luckily my SIL is making chicken and pork instead of beef, and I will just skip the tortillas and put the meat on lettuce. I think I'll do alright. I am going to treadmill it in a little bit after I digest breakfast. I have been craving milk lately which is unlike me but I think since I stopped eating cheese in bulk like I was I am missing the calcium. So I am letting myself have one glass of milk and it seems to get rid of any cravings. What else has mega calcium in it?

Hope everyone has a great OP weekend, and I will update my weight tomorrow but I am guessing it will hold at 189. I am happy. 4 pounds in one week is great for me!

You know I did the "push-up" thing yesterday without much thought. But it smacked me in the face this morning that I held plank position for almost a minute.

When I started working out last year a few of the DVDs I used had plank and I remember it being nearly impossible for me to hold up 300lbs for more then a few seconds and although I could do crunches they were wildly uncomfortable because of my stomach basically being in the way. I couldn't even pretend to do things like child's pose and things of that nature.

I wish I had some starting #'s to compare to but wow. Thanks Mel for reminding me how far I've come.

(remembers day 1 and doing walk away the pounds and wanting to YELL at the TV because after 20mins Leslie said "See how fast that went by?" It had felt like forever)

-Thank you, Karen for the welcome on my year of the red! I loved the idea of a red bracelet.
I may have to dig into my box of crafts and braid one together.

-lol, Diva!

-I wouldn't be surprised, Danielle. Producers always want to try to spin a show and people in different ways for the ratings.

I plan on posting my weight on Monday before the deadline. I usually weigh in on Mondays.

This week I was meticulous (sp) in placing EVERYTHING in my journal (red . . .which I purchased along with my red desk planner in December ) and I have to say that I spend a lot of freaking money trying to find food on the fly. And the food isn't all that great for me. This week may be a negligible weight loss but it has opened my eyes to the power of planning.

I think my exercise goals are too ambitious for me. This has been the second week in which I thought I would hit 390 minutes of exercise. I figured jazzercise three times a week for an hour apiece and a half an hour of cardio in the morning as I trained for my 5K coming up on May 17th. I only exercised about 90 minutes of that. So I may have to build up to that goal. As I paraphrase a Chinese philosopher (mostly because my short term memory is shot to heck); "The journey begins with one step."

Is it too early to think about week two?!

Good for you putting the cookies back. Before I go thru the checkout I look thru my cart to see if there is anything in there I don't really need. Don't find anything to often now but there was a time I would spend 20 min putting things back lol. We get in a habit of getting things we don't want or need anymore.

Cathy
You are very right. If we keep moving it is better than not moving at all. I do the same thing, exercise while I watch one of the few tv shows I like. I happen to like ghost whisperer.

Hun
I bet that was fun. I haven't made Cotton candy in years.

Army
Hey a loss is a loss you take anything you can get. My scale went copoot and it was only a few months old so I am back at the docs doing my weigh in. To bad it doesn't show exactly what a person weights lol. I stayed the same but I was ok with that since I was in the middle of my DOT and I could tell I was all puffy.

shelby
Glad you had a nice time at the school.

wk
Yes drink that water. Oh my gosh I can remember when I was breastfeeding. I don't think I every could get enough water in me lol.

cakes
Congrats. It is so great to get under another 10. I do so understand.

Ideal
Or when she said doesn't that feel good and you thought " oh my gosh this woman likes pain " lol. Now when my daughter hears her say " doesn't that feel good " she looks at me and says " mom she is a sick woman and needs to spend more " time " with her husband" lol I have to agree. I like to work out. I feel good about myself that I work out but I have to admit. I have never thought oh that feels sooooooooo good when I do a stretch lol.

Vanity
One day and one step at a time is how we all have done it. I can remember having to pause a 1 mile video now I can do 5 miles with no problem. It doesn't happen over night. Give yourself credit that you exercise at all and build up little by little.

Good afternoon all!

How is everyone's day so far? I'm doing good eating wise. I'm having some motivation problems with exercise. I normally don't exercise on Saturdays but I didnt do it yesterday because my back hurt. UGHHHHHH! I'll do it! Maybe a stroll after dinner..if it's not raining since the weather here is horrible! My mother wants me to go food shopping with her at BJ's Wholesale Club. I guess we'll go around 4. I really don't want to do that either. To be honest I really don't want to do anything today...LOL! It's just one of those days I guess. I better go jump in the shower. I'll hop back on later! Enjoy your afternoon!

kellybones~ I'd better start walking if I'm going to make it all the way to Arizona...LOL! I hate when my BF cleans!!! He doesn't do it right, and when hes done I have to go and re clean what he "cleaned" I rather do it myself!

DIVA~ I have that Jillian-Bob shoulder angel! It is really annoying. If I ignore them and I wat or buy something bad anyway then they really make me feel guilty! Don't you just hate that!

Idealmuse~ I thought the same thing when I first did Walk Away The Pounds. Then when I did the two mile I found Leslie very annoying. She just talks through the whole thing! Here I am struggling and working hard and there she is talking, and laughing all calm and collective...LOL! I do love her workouts though!

Good afternoon ladies,

I am happy to report a 2.6lb loss this week, i'm finally out of the 210's and into the single digits. I only have 9more lbs to lose to be in Onederland! WOOHOO.

I am not so happy to announce that I am very sick, fever - 102, chills, headache, pains in my muscles, it's not pretty. I already threw up once this morning and DS is having a sleepover tonight with 5 boys. HELP!!! My mom will be here to help me out and they are pretty easy, I'll just have to tell them to keep it down from time to time i'm sure. 12 year old boys...FUN FUN FUN!!! LOL

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Hey all! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I was wondering if someone could tell me when do we have to post our first weigh in by? I can't remember. I had a very intense work out yesterday, I pushed myself and it felt so good, but I am really paying for it today! I need to figure out how to get the last 45 miles or so needed for the challenge today! Maybe i will hit the treadmill for that amount of time because all my muscles are hurting!
I have some house cleaning to get done and i will check back in a bit!

I wrote earlier about being single with no kids and treating myself often. Well a funny story....my sister called me this morning. She and my nephew (4 y/o) went to the store. She decided to run down the toy isle just to see what was there. My nephew is a HUGE Thomas the Train fan. I guess there was a new toy he hadn't seen before and he begged my sister to buy it for him. She told him that it didn't go with the type of tracks he already had and that she wasn't buying it for him. His response?: "That's okay Mommy. Aunt Karen will buy it for me."

I don't always take him a present when I see him, but I do a lot of the time. Of course my reaction to my sister was, "Well he probably really does need it!"

Good. Although I did notice my time was significantly less doing it the way you described. I also noticed my crunches were way high, because I do them as small pulses rather than full crunches based on an exercise technique I have done off and on for years. I'm going to keep it that way for consistency though.

Or you will buy some pretty flowers and go to a retirement home and give everyone a flower. So really you get double the reward!! You get the benefit of the exercise PLUS the good feeling of brightening up someones day. Just a suggestion!
I love your ideas! I have been actively recycling for several months. I just recently found out that donations are expected/appreciated when you drop off your stuff. I haven't been doing that so maybe I'll give them extra when I meet my goal.

Sooooo, yesterday, even after that 2 hour intense workout, @ the grocery store with the boy, I, for some unknown reason, put 2 bags of cookies into my cart....Then I have these lil' people on my shoulder throughout the store. One was telling me, you worked out hard, you are having your TOM, you deserve these cookies, you can stop at just 2 and so on...while the other, who looked strangely like Melissa, but sounded like Bob AND Jillian, told me this, "You did not just bust your a$$ for 2 hours today working out, to just toss it all down the toilet!"! It was rather annoying, but they just wouldn't shut up, so by the time I got to the register, MeliisaBobJillian won! I put the dang cookies back, and got HEALTHY snacks instead. Nuts, sunflower seeds, fruit. WTH!?

So anyways, it's weird how we play little mind games isn't it? I'm glad I put them back and didn't screw up. I am always searching things I crave on TDP site and once I see how many calories there are per serving, I change my mind. I may just have a nice little lazy day today since it's going to rain. I think I need to rest my muscles. My Shins are hurting a little, so I may just wait until tomorrow since we are expecting a sunny day and go bike riding.
That really cracked me up! You are a great storyteller! I will be looking for MelissaBobJillan on my shoulder from now on!

I started doing mostly WATP. I've done the workouts so much that I can actually quote her word for word for most of it. I started putting the TV on mute and wearing my iPod with some upbeat music. It's amazing how quickly the time flys by compared to listening to the dvd.

Isn't it funny how Melissa on here sounds exactly like the one that was on my shoulder?

My kitty only had 1 little baby. I think he's a boy. She didn't seem very interested in him at all and wouldn't nurse, so we put Stormy (My Fluffy Siamese) in there to keep him warm and I ran up to Walmart to get Kitten formula and a bottle. When I got back I found him on a nipple, but he still seems hungry, so hopefully between me, Midnight(the Mom) & Stormy, we can keep the little feller alive. He looks like he's going to be a Siamese too. It's in his blood line. Midnight's Mom was a Siamese and Bonkers' (The Dad) mom is Stormy. But Midnight is Black & Bonkers is a long haired, tabby (Siberian). How cute. I love kitty cat's if ya can tell. I've named him Spencer after my fav GH character Luke Spencer.
