Well, now you know it was the last hurrah and you found a way to stop it. Check in if you are tempted. We will do what we can for you!

Missingmyerica...sometimes life just calls for a double cheeseburger, way to go for getting back on track though!! Now that you got the fast food out of your system you can keep on that healthy track and meet your goal! You can do it!!

Dee...accountability is so key!! the hurrah is over, now its time to get back to business!! I hope your project is going well!

For those of you that know (or possibly don't know) I work with the boss's wife. Let me just say that if this morning is any indication of the rest of the day, I believe my evening will involve copious amounts of alcoholic refreshments!!!!!!!!!

Well, it must have been in the water. I ate about 2 servings of Tillamook Cookie Dough ice cream last nights...I know, I know, not the right way to up my calories. Within minutes I was physically sick and about 30 minutes later I threw up. Weird. I'm NOT allergic to anything in it, so it obviously was too "premium" for my system now. That'll teach me. I'm not sick today so I know it wasn't a fluke. My body downright rejected it.

Shay - that sounds horrible. Is it a 24FourFitness gym? I don't think these classes are that bad. They are popular. And I found out today that I CAN go a half hour early, set up my weights/bench and then go do a good cardio session for 20-25 minutes. Supposedly no one takes/moves your weights/spot. We'll see.

I need an opinion (or several) please - I've been trying to eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day and have been walking 3 miles 3 times a week and doing the eliptical 3 times a week for 45 minutes or so each time. I've been pretty much stuck. Do you all think I need to up the calories a little or just take a wait and see attitude for a couple more weeks to see if something starts happening?

Thanks in advance for all your help!!!

Roni - DBF has never seen me have more than a couple of drinks and a couple of weeks ago we went out and I had 2 beers. Put me right under the table!! Am I a lightweight or what?? Wonder how much wine it will take me tonight - 1 glass? Guess he thought I was pretty amusing - all giggly and laughing and stuff. All I know I was so totally relaxed I just wasn't too concerned about much. Oh to feel like that again. 5:00 hurry up and get here!!!!!

LOL! I'm a lite weight too, which is why I was so tore up on Tuesday when I downed that bottle of wine. It's not something I do a lot, and every now and then ya just need a little extra help relaxing and letting go of stress. It'll be ok.

BTW, I was exercising like that too and the scale wasn't moving. I was told to up my calories a little. I can't tell you if it's worked, because I've skipped the GYM all week, but it may help. Good luck!

Laurie - upping calories is what I would try first. You're doing a lot of exercise. Or you could try cycling your calories. One day at 2000, the next at 1200, next at 1600...

Thanks Roni and Nori for the responses back. I've never done calorie cycling but may look into trying that.

I have a Toyota Prius and it gets 46-48 mpg with the AC running and going down the HWY (which is gets worse gass doing highway driving). I figure that this is pretty good when it is about 2 times what my DH Toyota Matrix gets.

Not to mention I get to ride the HOV until 1 July 2009 with my hybrid plates (I usually pick up Slugs on the way home, but I usually go in too early to get them in the morning).

I pick up slugs, too. I hate to see them suiciding on the sidewalks when the sun starts blazing so I always move them into the grass. They must be terrible procrastinators because they have ALL NIGHT to cross the darn sidewalk, but NO, they make a "run" for it a 7am and then get slammed by the massive Florida sun and shrivel up. I'm too tenderhearted to be a witness to this slaughter. So I'm a slug rescuer.

I just wrote a whole big post and lost it. Grr...

Anyway, someone explained slug lines to me recently, I had no idea such a thing existed (can you tell I'm not originally from the area?)! And I'm surprised there's not more crime involved in it all. Gives me hope that there are actually still lots of decent people around
