Good morning ladies! How is everyone doing this morning? Well I didn't get up at 5 am to do my tredmill like I wanted to, but I did just finish. And that's what matters, that I still did it. I will be doing it again tonight along with my total gym. I am going to work my fanny off to hit my Easter goal of 10 lbs. Also going to work on getting my water in today too. Did good with that yesterday. I have also been getting my lunch ready when I do DH's lunch for the day. That helped yesterday so that I wasn't looking for food, and making not so healthy choices. well hope you all have a great day and get your water in!

Good afternoon buddies,

My students are in their weekly therapy group session with the clinician so I have a free 45 min to myself. YIPEE. I did really good with my focus on slow and mindful eating. I followed BDS to a tee and made sure to remove myself from the classroom when I ate breakfast and lunch and sat at the desk in the hallway all by myself and enjoyed every bite of my lunch. I chewed and swallowed and put my fork down between each bite. I almost took my whole lunch time to eat and it was nice. I'm glad I made myself do it. Now I have to concentrate on being mindful, but dont' have to isolate myself while doing it!

Melissa: I was squatting at a pretty fast pace, but it wasn't too much. I actually got in 103 and had to stop before the last commercial was even over because my legs were BURNING!! Crunches don't really phase me, I can do those for days!

Terapet: Glad you were able to get a good night sleep last night. I do my workouts at night now, and it actually helps me to sleep easier. IT knocked my DS out cold last night. He fell asleep quicker than usual.

Cats: YOu should feel good about yesterday, you gave yourself one heck of a workout girl! GREAT JOB!!!

Skinnyvibes: Great job getting that workout in, even if it wasn't at 5am. YOu are right....getting it in is what matters, not the time!

I've had 32 oz of water so far today. I'm working on my next 32! I didn't get any of the BL show challenges done. I have such a hard time on Tuesdays (most nights really). I don't get off my 2nd job until 6:30 or 7 and it was almost 8:30 before I got my supper done and sat down to eat last night. I was in a very foul mood yesterday so I went to bed at 9 pm. I need to try the squats and crunches on commercials on a different night. I'll try really hard to get it done before next Tuesday!

I missed my Zumba class on Monday, because I got held late at work. I'm ready for it tonight!

Went to the gym after classes. Man am I sore now though, I ache in the hips and my shins but I really think the shins is from walking across campus. I still cant do a whole hour of running 2 and walking 3. At the half hour mark I'm about to die. But, I'm okay with that. I feel like its still a good workout. And I can always do the elliptical at home if I need a little more.

We got invited out to Fuddruckers for dinner tonight. I dunno...scary! Although a burger sounds fantastic! LOL!

I do understand. As long as I have been doing these walking/aerobic videos the 3 mile ones still kick my bum lol. Tonight is suppose to be pork but I think we are going to have Salmon again. I love Salmon lol.

ksk
You enjoy your class.

melissa
I have found I enjoy my food more now than I use to. I eat slowly and I enjoy every bite. I have found the same things with my snacks. When I have my can of mountain dew. I enjoy every drink lol. wow 60 days that is terrific.

Kari
Sometimes all that matters is that we get it done.

Tina
You are doing great.

Mom
If I said " no big deal " around here. I would never get the kids to do anything but eat, sleep, breath and play video games lol. Thanks, one of these days I will get where I want to be. Until then, I am enjoying just getting there.

Hi team! Sorry I haven't checked in for a couple days.

We've been doing field trips the last couple of days and we've been gone all day. We spent Monday at Legoland and Tuesday at Medieval Times since we're studying the Middle Ages. We had a great time both days. The weather has been gorgeous here. So we'll be going out for a field trip tomorrow too.

Last night, I had a Girls Night Out with three of my girlfriends. We had so much fun. We went to a dessert place and I indulged in one dessert, but I tried to eat light earlier in the day so that it wouldn't completely ruin my calories.

I think my calories were okay for the last two days because I didn't go hog wild, but I wasn't able to measure and log like I normally do. I just tried to eyeball it and not go overboard.

Recommit Survey

1. What is your eating plan of attack? To count calories staying around 1400.

2. What is your preferred method of exercise?
Walking

3. What is something you excelled at over the past 6 weeks? I've been a good friend the past few months. I know that has nothing to do with BL, but it's the only thing I can think of.

4. What is something you are still struggling with?
Exercise. I was doing great before I got sick for most of January. Since getting better, life has just been so hectic. I need to make exercise a priority.

5. What is your goal for the next 6 weeks?
To get past 182 and lose another 10 lbs. To make exercise a priority.

6. Say something positive about yourself!
I am succeeding and I will continue forward! I'm healthier and stronger everyday.

Okay so dinner at Fuddruckers. Ugh! I was kicking myself all the way home. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, asked them not to toast the bun and a side salad w/ FF italian dressing, and a lite beer...sounds like I did fantastic right? Well then I nibbled off dh's onion rings and dd's fries! So stupid! I came home and put the food into WW the best I could, I was overly generous with the portions and I came in spot on for points! I even have 2 activity points left I could use if I wanted! So I'm downing a liter of water right now and I think I'll be golden!
Yay me!

Yellofly-Poor thing, I hope you get well soon.

skinnyvibes-Sounds like you are on the road to losing 10 lbs. I try to plan my meals in advance also. It keeps me from ugly suprises when I am adding up calories.

Melissa73-You are doing so well. Keep up the great work. I laughed at your band camp reference but trust me our kids are good at camp. (Although we did catch one boy trying to sneak in the girls dorm!) We have lots of chaperones.

Ksk571-Sorry to hear lifes been throwing some obstacles in your way lately. I hope you enjoyed a great Zumba class tonight. One of my instructors calls it therapy!

Hun E B-You survived Fuddruckers, yeah! Good for you for staying within your points.

jlbake-Good luck getting the exercise back in your schedule.

Good morning ladies! Well I made it through day 3 of my abstinence Everyday it's becoming a little easier to stick to. I had a great time at my meeting last night. I got a lot more reading material, and just felt good when I left...like I'm ready to finish this week off strong. The women are really funny also. It's even funnier because their not meaning to be, it's just how they are I love that! So I had a great strength training workout at home yesterday. Legs, glutes, and core. Let me tell ya the legs and glutes are still burning today! I'm going to the gym tonight for cardio. This afternoon while the kids are in school I'll be shopping for Madison's b-day gifts. I did take Laura's advice and bought Mattie the Betty Crocker kids cookbook. It is so cute and the recipies are actually something we could do together, and she will eat the stuff. I didn't want it to be so complicated that it wasn't fun, but these are great. She is going to love it, and it's going to be great for her and I. I did well at my MIL's yesterday for lunch. I had a bowl of her homemade chicken dumpling soup, a chicken salad sandwich, and the big bonus I didn't even eat chips, even though they were on the table!!! That's huge for me...I'm a total chip freak. Now my MIL is the world's best baker, and of course she baked an apple rum dum cake. I had a small piece though, and enjoyed it, but that was it, no seconds for me. So that was a big NSV for me. Other then that though not much happening today. Tomorrow the kids are off school, so I want to get all my running around done today. Hope your all having a great day.

Yello- Get well soon hun~

Melissa73- Slowing down my eating is something I need to work on big time. Like you I eat very fast. My family was always yelling "slow down your going to get sick" It's so hard to eat slow when you've eaten fast though your whole life. I'm trying though and I've gotten better at slowing it down. Your doing great...Keep it up~

Kari- Great job on getting in the exercise...it don't matter what time we do it just do it! Sometimes things happen and our scheduled time doesn't work, so great job fitting it in

Melissa- Ahhh Fuddruckers....my husband and I used to go there when we were first dating. I love that place. It's hard for me to go there though because I eat like a fool. I love their fries, not only that I love them smothered in the cheese sauce. So ya see the problem with me going there!LOL! Great job on the control though. You did great. About you thanking me for being in your corner, girl I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. You are such a great person, and I can tell this all by just chatting with you over the computer. You are just a kind person. I'm so glad though that your taking time for yourself. Your number 1 remember that Have a great day~

Counting- I hope things settle down a little for you at work. Thanks for checking in though, I love hearing from you~

Jen- Legoland sounds like soooo much fun. Kev and I went to one in Flordia on our honeymoon, but I want to take the kids. I know they would flip out. I've never been to Medieval Times, but we go to the Renassiance Faire every summer and love it. I'm sure it's pretty similar. How fun a night out with the girls. I've been trying to get one together, but one of us has not been feeling well everytime! I'm ready for it to warm up so I can start sitting with my girls on the patio and just relax and chat.

Rennie- I love what your teaching your kids about not being able to take the stuff with you. Especially today, I mean kids have or want just about everything. I'm reading A New Earth, and it talkes about always wanting more, but does the stuff really make you who you are??? Great book, you should check it out

Karen- I hope you had a great class. Sometimes a good class is what we need to get rid of the stress~

Mom23BC- Your little girl sounds like a doll....how cute! I tried explaining to Madison just because a new model of kitchen comes out that she doesn't get it. Kids our funny. I took Laura's advice though and bought her the Betty Crocker Kids Cookbook...she'll love it

Laura- Thanks for the advice on the cookbook...I picked it up yesterday for her. I can't wait to give it to her and try our first recipe together! Great idea~

Cat- Great job on the exercise...you had a great workout

Sorry to be MIA for a bit. Yesterday I worked 15 hours PLUS a team dinner, and in general work has been really hectic. I posted a big long entry on my blog about TBL on Tuesday night, but didn't get a chance to come here and post.

I did 109 squats! My legs were absolutely SHAKING by the end. I also attempted to do the "Brittany challenge" and do 15 MPH. My treadmill only went to 12 MPH max, which was a really good thing because the first time I tried I almost flew off! The second time I lasted 30 seconds. Did anyone catch how long Jillian was making Brittany go? I also tried to do as many hamstring curls in a commercial break as possible (much easier than squats) - I did 114.

Mom23BC, I'm still sick, but it's the kind of thing where I'm stuffy and have a sore throat, but feel pretty much okay. Hopefully that won't affect my ski trip this weekend. Thanks for asking!

I have been doing a pretty good job this week staying on plan, with only one day over. It's SO hard to eat healthy when I'm eating out for every meal! Last night I was proud of myself at dinner though. Even though I ended up 400 cals over the day, I did not have an appetizer or touch the bread, had a salad as my main course, split a dessert with someone, AND didn't touch any drinks! That last one was the hardest... everyone was raving about the specialty drinks and kept telling me to "just try a sip" and at one point even ordered one for me, but I refused to touch it. GO ME! 300 cals for a fruity martini was just not worth it to me.

Melissa, AWESOME job at Fuddruckers! I've never been to one but it doesn't sound like an easy place to make healthy choices

Tina, that's awesome about the cookbook - let us know how she likes it! And hopefully a book and some food is cheaper than a whole new play kitchen, and easier to store

That's too funny that you say that because my instructor went into a big speil at the end of our class last night about how she started Zumba several years ago when an uncle was sick and that she used Zumba as "me time" and sorta like therapy.
