Lynn...forgot to ask you something, do you have the spider solitaire game that keeps track of your wins/losses by percentage? I had a spider game on my crashed computer that was easy on the eyes to see and kept track of how many games I've played,(over 2,000) and my percentage rate of wins. I can't remember who's site I downloaded the game from. Do you have this version? If so...what's the site? Marie...it's the luck of the tiles drawn. This game we're on now is neck to neck. One last thing, I didn't have to put my password into my old computer when I turned it on in the morning. I think it's a pain in the butt, what does everyone do? Do you have to open cp with a password, is that the safest? Should I keep it that way?
Hi Bobbi,
Check to see if it was not included with your computer. If you go to "start," & then "games," it should be there.
Since I never have trouble with 3FC at work (so far!), I think I’ll respond only during work days from now on! Unfortunately, I have nothing to report, nothing interesting OR exciting. So sorry!
CK – are you in full moving mode? This weekend is going to be crazy for you… will Tim be able to get started on the pool by Monday, do you think? Did everything go smoothly at the closings?
Rosey – do your kids have jobs lined up already? How long do you think they’ll stay with you? I know you’re so excited… especially, I’m SURE, to meet Lucky Lady!
CarolSue – your story about your MIL was neat… I liked it.
Bobbi – GM is my mom. We’ve always called her Granny, I guess! So GM is GrannyMom. Did you get your computer all up and running properly? The Spider Solitaire I use is the one on “games” from All Programs in the start section. It keeps track of percentages.
Rie – the “boys” did the front only and will return to do the back later. It looks really good! They cleaned window wells, raked 7 bags of mashed grass, and I needed to have it done… even though I think they ARE expensive.
Marie – I hope you’re not working too hard, resting! I can just imagine that you’re running your entire department from your home computer!! SamCat hugs to Beloved and to Kody, Sasha, Blizzie, and David!
Better get back to work. I should at least give them a LITTLE effort for their money! Have a good weekend, everyone!
When I ran a graduate education program, I had a student who became anorexic and almost died. I got very involved with her and her family and helped her get the help she needed. Recently, I have gotten back involved with this program teaching an online course and helping the new director set up an alumni association. I have gotten in touch with many of my former students and REALLY wanted to get in touch with this student. However, the email I had for her was not working and no one had a working email address for her.
As you know, I recently made an appointment to see a hematologist about my lymphoma. While I was waiting in the lobby of the cancer hospital, I saw this student. She was there with her mother who also has lymphoma. I was ABSOLUTELY overjoyed. Needless to say, I now have this student’s email address.
Just so weird that we both happened to be in the same place at the same time!
That is why i think some things are just ment to be.
so glad you got to hook up with her again.
Lady,
It was just so weird. I have been going to my dermatologist for over 4 years. He is in a totally different building. I just decided that I wanted to check in with a hematologist or I NEVER would have been in the hospital building!
Thanks Lynn...I found it and put a pin cushion thingy on it to show up at the bottom tool bar. Really easy to click on. I play this game everyday, keep playing until I win. I'm obsessed
Hi everyone. a very busy day here.i'm babysitting for my niece. the girls are fun but keep me hopping,we colored, did our nails and made beaded bracelets. they are watching a movie now. i have to bring food to the funeral tomorrow, they wanted finger foods so im making sandwiches, the girls helped me make, hamsalad, egg salad, smoked salmon spread, and a jalepeno cheese spread. My grson played his final basketball game this morning, they didnt win but he had an awsome experience on his team and im oh so proud of him.My dd and family are leaving for alaska tommorrow, they lived here befor and have their house rented out. when the lease is up they can move back into there own place. they dont have jobs yet but some prospects. im so glad they are coming back. Lynn i love unexpected surprizes like that,it was meant to be.Hope your weekend is wonderful rosey
Brenda, Sylvee looks like the queen kitty. I love she is guarding the gifts. And your garden is lovely. Absolutely beautiful. And good job getting the pictures uploaded.
Carol Sue I love the story about your MIL and St. Patricks. That is a little eerie.
Bobbi, you’re further in the book than me. If I wasn’t listening, I’d have skimmed the dog fighting too. And Sterling and daughter do need a whack with rosey’s rolling pin.
Bobbi, I remember long ago (around 10 years old) going from maple to maple tree in Minnesota, collecting sap in the spring. About this time of year. Since it’s maple pollen you’re allergic to and the pollen can travel miles and miles and miles, you should stay on antihistamines throughout the pollen season. My home computer would never have a password. That would be a pain in the butt. Glad you found your Spider game.
Deelee, I have the Skype program on my Macbook but there isn’t an app for iPad. I bet you’re so proud of your son! My thought is that scales are evil. Pure and simple. Necessary for me but evil none the less. I was thinking of painting a devil face on it but then thought the paint might add some weight when I weigh in.
Rie, I thought we were soul sisters but you don’t like OREOS??? Are you nuts? And the filling is delightful – a fine blend of chemicals.
Donna, the lawnboys might be spendy but surely the enjoyment of look at them, errr their work, is worth it. Not much working today. Too much work yesterday.
Lynn, that is fabulous you ran into your former student that you had such ties too. That is amazing.
Rosey, sounds like you’ll have a busy weekend then your DD will be there. How cool is that?
Ciecie, I love discussing cookies. Girl Scout, Oreos or homemade chocolate chip. I was just thinking that on a diet forum you and I could get into trouble.
I had a nice morning with DH. We played our new super scrabble and made homemade Irish Cream (yes, I had an allergic reaction to Baileys). Since I had half an iced mocha left when we made the Irish cream, I put a splash in it. My, my mocha was amazing this morning. Now DH is at work and the pups and I are being bums. And who says you can't be a shopaholic while being restrict to the couch? I successfully bought three swimsuits, several yoga pants and a present for my soon to be DGS. Online shopping with free shipping is wonderful.
Marie

Me too. At one of those award shows, an interviewer asked Morgan Freeman - what was his secret obsession - he answered Spider Solitaire!
We have to go finish up DD's kitchen this morning and DH is waiting for me to hustle. Lynn...I love Morgan Freeman. I really am obsessed with that game, unfortunately I lost my score and how many games I've played. I know it was over 2,000 games. I'll have a better win percentage now that I'm better at it. I just keep re-playing the same game over until I win.
Marie...I'll start putting a antihistamine tablet in my daily vitamin case. I run the air purifier in my bedroom every night and it helps. I googled last night if I could have the bedroom window open and still run the purifier. The answer was yes, leave the window open but only if you're not allergic to pollen. DUH......... I just popped one in my mouth now thinking of DD's two cats, I'm allergic to them also.
Rosey...you meal yesterday is what my mom made every Sunday night, grilled cheese and tomato soup. We had our large meal after church and she didn't want to cook at night. I have to get back to posting my calories/ kick me.
I'll have to talk later, DH is giving me the evil eye.

Lynn - I think you were meant to meet up with that student again. That's how things happen. How had she done with her anorexia? I first met DH when I was 14 and he was 17. I saw him working in a grocery store and thought he was cute and I asked a friend who worked there to introduce us. She did, but he had a girlfriend (his first wife) and we were just friends, just said hi to each other in passing. That was in 1960. I never saw him after he married until 1997. My friends always went to a disco on the weekends. There was a country western bar on the highway and something was drawing me there, but none of my friends would go there with me. Finally, one friend said she would go, and who did I run into the first night there but DH. He recognized me first, and told me he was divorced. The rest is history. I always say I was just meant to go into that nightclub. All this time we had lived 10 miles apart, but he being married with a family and me being in the singles scene, our paths just never crossed. I enjoy telling people that I met DH when I was 14 and we married when I was 35.

Hi Carol Sue,
Your story gives me goose bumps. I am sure that there have been a few movies about things like this. When you think about all the possibilities that have to converge for these kinds of meetings, it is truly AMAZING that they occur.
My appointment at the hospital was actually for a different day. I was there on that day only because I had re-scheduled.
There were a LOT of these stories after 9/11. MANY folks around here just missed being at the World Trade Center because of some kind of coincidence (fate?).
