The sun looks like it's going to come out today. Not that it will matter too much, it's still supposed to be 35 degrees. But at least the sun makes everyone feel better.
I totally agree that we choose how we create our days. It's all about choices. You can make good choices or you can not. And not all your "choices' have to be good ones, just ones that you conciously make. Today I had a brownie for breakfast. the same calories I would have eaten if i'd had a good breakfast, but no nutrition. and I'll be hungry before lunch time because my BS will spike. But I wanted that brownie and made the concious decision to have it. Not something I do often, but we have choices and making a wrong one occasionally won't totally make the day wasted. I plan my exercise, because it's important and I don't want to miss it. I plan for a clean house because a messy one makes me crazy. Those are choices.
Chickpanda, Did you tell us your name? If so I forgot it. If you're not comfortable giving your name that's ok too. You sound like you have a good plan and are making plans to make it happen. Things don't just happen by themselves. We have to do things that make them happen.
Z, I know you will get your exercise in today, chasing after the twennies. How big they are getting!
Georgia, I know you will plan to make your days the way you want them. Just focus on what you really want.
Karen, Better not let anyone there know that you brought the snow with you. You might not be as welcome!
Isabella, you're jogging now too? I think that is great. They say changing the pace makes you burn more fat and get fitter. Like short burst of jogging or running.
Donna, eating in the evening is the worst time for me too. I have to plan again, make sure I have a healthy snack planned. Roast vegetables are something I make really often. I spray them with a bit of olive oil and sprinkle them with seasoning and they are so good. And you get to eat a lot!
Bobbi, Plan soccer? Not hardly. I just get out and help the kids practice. So I do run around the yard and kick the ball a lot. I help them practice tennis (which consists of running after the balls) and baseball too. those days I get a good workout.
Everyone, make it a good day. And that is another thing where we can make a choice. We don't have any controle over what happends, but we have controle about how we react to it.
A quick Good Morning everyone! We're having our Easter party tomorrow at 5pm so I'll be busy the next couple of days and won't be signing in. Our DD won't eat pig of any kind for religious reasons? We don't agree but that's her business. I purchased a large bone in ham for everyone else, she's bring a beef roast. I found a recipe for fruit salad with a base of vanilla pudding mixed with 1/3 cup thawed orange juice consentrate. It will be a heavy calorie day for me because everything is full sugar. I won't use sugar free pudding, DD again won't eat anything with artifical sugar. (I wish the pudding companies would start using Stevia.) I'm making twice baked mashed potatoes, recipe calls for cheddar cheese and real bacon, I kept a portion out for DD without the bacon. I'd quit eating if I couldn't have bacon now and again. I have a lighted curio cabinet full of pink depression glass dishes I have to tackle today. After the carpenters left, everything was coated with dust particles from all the sawing. So much to do and so little time, you all have a great week-end. Freda...I think we all agree on good or bad choices. I admire you for maintaining your weight for quite some time now. The brownie for breakfast works for you because it's not a habit. I rarely ate a bad food while I was still trying to lose, I kept those special treats for after I made goal. Sundays are my treat day, Monday I'm back into healthy choices.

Good Morning, All...
My neighbor girl is getting married tomorrow, and we're looking at a snowstorm! Oh, I hope it doesn't ruin things for her!
Karen, I laughed at that little dog! OMG, I can imagine that she drives your pups bonkers. PT, have fun with those babies! Your grandbabies are all gorgeous!
Nothing of any interest to report. Status quo. All is well... Be warm and safe, everyone!
Donna-- Ginger and Sissy still like to play BUT with each other on their terms! They are like 6 years and 8 years and then to throw this little 4 month old puppy in with them.... well just to much energy for them.
Waiting on another man to give us an estimate on the concrete overlay around the pool. I have two and still waiting on this guy. OK Yesterday it rained all day (2 1/10 inches) so I will give him that-- But today is beautiful and it is noon! Havent' heard a word. If he doesn't show up today I may just go with my original guy on it.. He did the pool and I think he would be very careful about getting stuff in it!
Hello gals. I've discovered Yogurt Cheese. Yum. I made a batch of yogurt yesterday and forgot to turn off the yogurt maker. When I realized what I'd done it was after midnight. The yogurt was floating in whey so I poured it off and it was collecting almost as fast as I could pour so I decided to strain it using a coffee filter. I knew about yogurt cheese but I'd never tasted or made it before. So I poured it in the filter lined strainer, covered it over and stuck it in the frig. Well, this morning I had the thickest, creamiest fat free "cream cheese" I have ever tasted. It spreads just like a spreadable cream cheese and has only 10-12 calories per tablespoon. I made my yogurt with skim milk but the yogurt cheese can be made with any kind of natural yogurt with active bacteria and no gelatin or starches added. Oh my, what plans I have for this stuff! The only problem is I want to start spreading it on all kinds of muffins, breads and bagels. Haha. I'm going to try making a baked and an unbaked cheese cake with it in the future. I have recipes.
I never got out for a walk today. Someone has to be home to receive the computer from the courier company but it's 4 pm and no sign of the truck or computer. I went into their site and tracked it but all it says is that it's on route. But I did get a phone call earlier this week advising me to stay home on Friday...sigh...It was such a nice day too. I guess I'll get on the bike and go no where.
Bobbi, I made twice baked mashed potatoes last week. I had them stuffed back in the potato skin. I used low fat cheddar and low fat sour cream and they were wonderful. I topped mine with the fake bacon bits and that gave them a lovely smoky flavor. Your daughter might like the simulated bacon bits on hers. I have a really nice fruit salad that uses banana and canned peaches blended together to form the sauce or dressing for the salad but unfortunately it is on the hard drive of the old computer. But as I can remember you blend up one or two bananas with a drained 14 oz can of peaches. I always use the juice pack fruit and this is what the recipe calls for. I also add a little lemon juice to that mixture to keep the banana mixture from turning dark. The fruit for the salad contains more peaches and bananas and other fruit of your choice. The sauce doesn't hold well overnight and is best added to the salad no more than a couple of hours before serving. I think I'll make a small version of this to serve with supper tonight. That yogurt cheese would make a great topping.
Must go and finish doing nothing . This waiting around can be so tiring. Catch you all later.
Freda thanks for asking, my given name is Coralee. My user name is chicpanda//that is chic like in trendy and panda as in my current shape. Bobbie - I agree with you about bacon and pork in general. I can't afford the price of most red meat, but pork is usually in the budget, and it is so versatile. retiredone - sorry, I didn't catch your name. I am hanging out doing nothing too. Guido, the car, still is not back from the shop. Seems they are waiting for a part. I am not happy, as I wanted to do some walking. Will have to do it after the shop closes.
Does frustration burn calories??

Rosey, absolutely do NOT take your vitamins on an empty stomach... you'll want to puke. Sounds like you're sticking with it... grim and boring, yes? But it'll be worth it for you! (keep saying that... )
Just checking in to say hello ~ my "weekend" is over and is time to go back to work tomorrow.
I had hoped to post and do personals this week, but there were family issues and the week just flew by. Lots of emotional type stuff that leaves you feeling drained. I didn't mess up too bad with my eating, but didn't get in as much walking as I had hoped to.
Feeling frustrated with myself ~ I joined that challenge, but didn't do very well this week. Next week is a new week to try again.
I am procrastinating here ~ need to go to bed, but feel like a little kid who hates to give in and go. Guess I'd better though ~ 4:45 comes awfully early.
Good Morning, All...
The snowstorm has seemingly missed us. Once again, the WeatherFools held true... So, the neighbor girl's wedding should be without weather woes!
Gotta run... taking care of the neighbor dogs, have to make a quick grocery run, and I have to become beeyoutiful for that wedding! All is well here.
Hope the weekend is a good one. Warm, dry, and safe, Everyone!
Good Afternoon. My neighbor out in Colorado sent this picture to me today. Said she wanted to share a "Little Springtime in the Rockies" with me! This is our home that we have the contract on out there. I really liked the house and if I could have moved the house back here that would have been fine! But now someone else can put their hopes and dreams in to it.
Good morning soul sisters. It's a gorgeous day in Northern Ca as well. Yesterday I spent the day rearranging my bedroom, cleaning out closets, and filing papers. I was exhausted by the end of the day, and still feeling a bit sore from moving furniture around, but that counted for exercise points on WW, so it's a good, productive sort of pain.
I've lost two more pounds since starting on WW, vegetarian-style. That's a total of seven pounds. I feel pretty good, but I can't say it's strictly because I eat vegetarian. I do know that I'm eating less, overall. I don't feel as bloated these days, because I was really eating a lot of meat protein before. I seem to be more okay with not eating so much or as often. I don't feel so stressed these days either. Life seems to be settling out.
I had a good laugh on Friday evening, after my big old speech about creating my own day. Someone forgot to tell the rest of the planet that I was creating my own day and that they should all cooperate. I guess it is good to have goals as well as be flexible and resillient. If I continued to wait for all the planets to align perfectly before I could enjoy myself, I'd still be waiting.
I'm off to have some fun with my boys today. Hope you all have a lovely day.
Morning everyone..im all exercised and showered for the day..im sore and my bones are complaining..but the rest of the day is mine to play..jess what a nice pic of you and your mum..georgia i had to laugh as we all know the best laid plans never go as we expect them to,but yes its nice to have a plan..it feels like a crafting sort of day ttfn and ((hugs))) for all rosey
