Hey all...well I took my walk yesterday by the beach, had my two shakes but gained a pound anyway, not sure why, must have been the cheeseburger I had last night! LOL..but I was long overdue for it given those two days of cleansing, my body was begging for food. Anyways I am sure it is just bloat and annoyed and more determined than ever to get the remaining weight off. I have to say my jeans felt a "LITTLE" looser yesterday..just a little, nothing major....there seemed to be a little more room in the thighs area, my problem area....

Where is everyone? We are at the last week of our challenge, has everyone abandoned ship??? I hope not. I need all you ladies to keep me in check....

Todays challenges:

Get more water down
Stay to two shakes and one 600 calorie meal, two snacks which will be a hard boiled egg and celery with hummus.

I'll be doing a zumba class and hope to get some kettlebell workout in also today. I have the DVDs.now its time to actually use them.

I have therapy today and I'm going to bloomingdales and then car shopping......I hate shopping for a car alone, salesmen see a female and think w'ere so gullible.....not this gal! I want your best price or i'm walking on down to the next dealership...well not walking, driving..but you know what I mean..LOL

I am here

I think my cold is getting better. Both of my kiddos have it as well. DS is at home today.

I haven't been to the gym since Saturday, I think I will try to drag my saggy butt out there today

I walked yesterday, very slow... I did not have the energy in my...but I still walked 4.7 miles in SNOW! YUCK! I wan that stuff go away and get some glorious warmth and sun!!

I ate some yesterday, and it stayed in. Weight has not dropped as I thought it should have. I wonder if I have some sort of a hormonal problem? I have been on thyroid meds for 19 years. or is it stress hormones keeping it up? I literally went 4 days w/o food and scale shows 1-2.4 pound loss, depending which day I look at. -- So if I can not drop pounds during the time like this, what hope do I have? -- I do feel that my boobies are carrying some extra water weight...hmmm...

I hope firegirl is doing okay. She has not checked in after her surgery. Didn't she have the operation last Wednesday or Thursday?

We have 6 days left on this challenge (counting today).

My goals changed/increased throughout this challenge;

1st
I am not going to do a weigh goal, but a fitness goal.

We are rejoining the gym.

1) Walk my puppy 4-5 times per week.
2) Use the gym 3 times per week.

So far I have met my walking goal, and missed gym only once (this week)

2nd I am going to take one day, one meal, one snack and each step at a time. Concentrate on making good choices "now" and hopefully weightloss will follow.

Success about 85%

3rd
I set a goal to walk min 60 miles this month, 80 would be nice and 100 superb!

As of today I have walked 91 miles

4th
Somewhere along I set a weight goal as well (around 4/2)
SW 165.6
GW 159

This remains to be seen 159.8/160 this am...I think I can....or I will be quite close.

What are your thoughts of your progress? -- Should we do another challenge; Like...School's Out For Summer; we could go till June 15th?

I'm here too!
Sum: Your goals are great and I know you can achieve them all!

Zumba: I am impressed you are getting through these cleanses. I am not sure I could do it.

My only goal for this challenge was to lose ten pounds, or go from 183 to 173. Since I actually hit 173.4 this morning, I'm hoping to maybe go even lower. I know 173 probably won't stick around, but it will be back in a day or two! My avatar picture is from a trip to WDW in 2007, which is the last time I've been below 175. I was probably about 155 in that picture, so I put it up to remind me every day that weight loss is possible!! I like the idea of another challenge when this is done--they help so much! I'm flexible as to when, but I think a month is good! June 18th is National Splurge Day, we could buy ourselves something splurge-worthy if we meet our goals!

Goal Check-in:

1. Lose 5 pounds: 152 goal
There is no way this is happening. I'm struggling with my number. 159 this AM. I keep trying to refocus.

2. Have my fitness level retested from a year ago
Did this yesterday. Went from 41% body fat to 22.9% body fat. My fitness went from "needs work" to "excellent". And the standard printout that accompanied my numbers last year somewhat snarkily told me I needed to lose fat. This year it very kindly said that no fat loss is necessary unless I want to change my appearance.

3. Yoga 1x per week
I've been doing this. Tomorrow will be the 4th week. I plan to continue.

4. Weights 2x per week
Yes.

5. Cardio 4-5x per week
Yes.

So I've met all my fitness goals. It's just the darn weight goal I'm having trouble with. I'm having a colonoscopy next week and I'm actually looking forward to the little weight loss bump it will cause. How sick is that??!

Keep on keeping on, everyone! I'm so glad to see your numbers coming down, Sum, Jennifer, and Zumba!

That sounds fantastic! It would be almost a 7 week challenge... so that to me () could mean 6-7 pound loss... I was going to treat myself to eyelash extensions at 150 pounds...but 152/153 pounds would be close enough. -- Yup, I know I can be shallow at times BUT I have always wanted long and luxurious lashes.... and I would not be splurging on food

This was quoted from Newleaf, but I did not do it right! As much as i love losing weight, there is no way I'd look forward to that procedure!!
