Good morning chicks! It's been a good weekend so far. Got my workouts in both days and now about to head into work for a bit.

Saturday calories: 1160. Exrecise: 35 minutes on elliptical.
It was such a struggle to get my exercise in yesterday. Not sure if it's the change in eating or this cold weather. So I did the bare minimum. Hope everyone's having a great weekend! |

Day 23- Mission accomplished! Kickboxing 1/2 hr, bike 1/2 hr, weights & 100 pushups. Date night was FUN & I let hub pick the movie- we saw True Grit, so ya see it isn't always ALL ABOUT ME, I let hubs choose the movie- next time without a doubt we will be seeing a CHICK FLICK! ;) Looks as if we have several LOSERS, great job LADIES! As for me my goal is not to lose weight, I'm working on just adding even more muscle! :) Have a great day oh chicky's. |
Hey all...I can spend very limited time at the computer due to my pain so I'm going to try and make this snappy. First I want to say bravo on how well everyone is doing on their workouts and diet....
Friday I was shoveling some snow and this put me into spasms....horrifiic neck and shoulder pain...it was so bad taht I couldn't get up off the sofa. Somehow I got myself to the chiropractor (he opened up his office just for me) and did some adjustments but I'm still in pretty bad shape. I had to cancel my classes yesterday ...hope I can teach tomorrow. Of course how I am eating is the least of my concerns right now....I'm miserable and can't focus on eating well.....There is no junk food in this house so it isn't like i'm binging....but I'm not eating well either. SO...that's my story...quite sad isnt' it? But even now I am not giving up!!!!!!!!!! Hope all is better tomorrow. Will keep you all posted. |

Zumba, that sucks! Hope you feel better soon. Evil, I'm dying to see True Grit. Did you like it? No to the thigh pain, I get it in my back and lower ab. Nat, good job on getting the w/o done. MadamB, congrats on the loss. :) Bama, go girl, keep the training up. :D I've been back a week and am officially back to my pretrip weight. I downloaded the Nike iphone app because a friend recommended it and it's awesome. It will be great for travel, and I leave for Chicago on Thursday for 4 days. Yesterday I took a rest day. I've been sore continuously since Wednesday, and I can still feel my abs, arms and butt hurting today. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining, just stating that I'm working hard. I love it. Today I'm going to spin class and plan on pushing for all I'm worth. :D |
Sunday: 1160 calories. 40 minutes on the treadmill, walking/jogging/incline, 2.6 miles total.
Starting Day 3 of Fat Smash Detox. The sugar cravings were not quite as bad yesterday. Eating a lot of oatmeal, salads, beans, and brown rice. Have also been getting in 2 servings of fruit a day, which is something I struggle with. river, that is great that you're back to your pre-trip weight! zumba, hope you're feeling better today! those spasms can be incredibly painful - I have some musculoskeletal issues so I understand. And this freezing cold doesn't help. evil, great workout! |
Hiya chickadees, day 24 Done! :). River the movie was ho hum, not really my type of movie at all, the young girls acting was phenomenal though. Hubby just thought it was ok, still prefers the original. But opinions are like @ssholes, everyones got one! :). Keep on keeping on chickadees, next week is February already! Busy day gotta run

Thank you all for the well wishes...they worked because although I'm still in pain I feel MUCH MUCH BETTER today!!! I taught two classes (albeit easy ones) and am back to my usual busy self.
Three days of not feeling well and eating led to 4 lbs gain!! UNBELIEVABLE...I know a lot of that is fluid retention (was on a salt kick)....but it is very disheartening. Makes me think I should just drop out of the challenge now and watch yoiu gals keep going ahead...HOWEVER I like to think that I can make some progress with the days I have left.....I usually work well under pressure...SO back on track today with my low carb eating....will not be adding any type of resistance training until chiro. says it is okay....I see him again tomorrow....praying that there is no type of disc rupture in my neck.... So proud of you all....keep chugging a long ladies!! |

My vacation starts tomorrow. Honey and I are going to Alabama to visit my family. I will admit I am a little worried about staying on track. I just gotta make sure I get some kind of workout in everyday even if it's just a long walk. My family celebrates everything with food so it will be a challenge. I have a WW weigh in before I leave in the morning. It should be good news. I will update tomorrow. Have a great night ladies! |

Zumba, I'm glad you're feeling better. The scale is only one measure of success, not everything. So don't be thinking that you don't need to keep posting here. I still want to log on and see your posts on this thread. :D Rest up and drink plenty of water to flush out that salt.
Bama, I hear you on the trip. I'm meeting a great friend from another city and I know we will be eating and drinking and chatting lots! I'll fit in 2 workouts and hopefully a daily swim (packed the goggles and cap) so exercise won't be a problem at all. I love working out, even when I travel. My plan is to evaluate and only have what I truly want, not a little bit of everything. And then once the decision is made, I plan to ENJOY whatever it is. :) Hope this helps you too and have a great time. Hi MadamB, how are you doing? |
Monday's calories: 1140. Exercise: 1 hour body sculpting class
I thought I would have a higher calories day yesterday but things were so rushed when I got home from work that I never got to eat. And then wehn I got back from the gym I wasn't hungry. I'm very sore from yesterday's workout, so I'm taking a rest day today, and plan to eat in the higher part of my range. Doing a little better with the sugar cravings every day. zumba, do NOT drop out of the challenge! Life happens.Like river said, there are all kinds of ways we are measuring progress here. evilwoman is in maintenance but she challenged herself on exercise and it's so inspiring to read! Every day we make so many decisions that impact our health - if you ever stopped to count there must be hundreds. You have made so many good ones. |

I had my WW weigh-in and I was down 2.4lbs. Truthfully I was hoping for a little more but it is what it is. Now to deal with the week at the family houses in Alabama. I'm just gonna do my best to stay on track. It is not a great time to be going since I am getting into my stride but as long as I don't use it as a time to blow off the program completely I will be ok. You ladies have a great day. |
