Evil, I may have to give those pushups a go. I do a lot when I lift or do bootcamp, but I haven't done a hundred in a row before. You go Chicka! Everyone is doing great, keep on moving! :D Yesterday's w/o was a 50 min bootcamp class Today 3k run, and a yoga session Tomorrow 7k run, yoga Tomorrow afternoon I'm off to Mexico again for a week. Going with my sister this time, so at least Mr River will be home with the dogs. I hate leaving them so much. My sis and I train together a lot so we'll keep fit and active while we're away. |
Day 36, done! Me & my girlfriend went rollerblading today, twas fun getting our skate on, did my 100 pushups before we left. :)
River- wow Mehico again? jeesh must be nice to vaca again! ... Iza JEALOUS! Gotta run getting together with friends to see a movie now... Hope its a good one, chick flick this time! :) Ok ladies, 9 more days left & hopefully we are all happy with the results, I know I am! :) Let's getter done! |
Friday: ~2000 calories. Rest day.
Had my off-plan meal last night - 2 glasses of wine, salad, 2 small pieces of foccacia, and about half my salmon dish. Oh, and a decaf capuccino. Then I came home and had 1/2 a cup of ice cream. Yum! Got up early to do spin, and today will be a low calorie day. I've been running around since 8 this morning, so I am now sitting my a$$ on the couch and may not move it the rest of the day! It is damp and cold and rainy here, but at least it's not snow. evil, I love the way you mix it up! river, Mexico again? You're making us all jealous - the weather sucks almost everywhere! zumba, I'm close, but the way things are going it will be tight. |
Hey Natamars, isn't the weather here today gross? Cold, rainy..grey...yucko. You are TWO LBS away from reaching your goal...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taught my two classes...I am super tired today....Last night went well at book club. Had half a glass of wine and none of the snacks the other ladies brought. Brownies just don't do it for me. It is so nice to go to a gathering where the focus isn't about food. I feel like I'm down to the wire and have accomplished nothing. It is so so frustrating. I went to TJ Maxx today to kill some time in between my two classes and seeing the cute swimwear and cover ups out made me want to cry. I'm just having a salad for dinner and some protein..... I hope everyone is having a good weekend!! |
PS..I raised my goal weight for this challenge by four lbs. Still a struggle but lets see if I can get the job done.
|
Zumba, you never know, you may get a whoosh this week. You're doing so many things right. I look at most people I know, and they're making no effort at all with food and exercise - such a contrast with the people I talk to here and at the gym. Listen, if I had kept going in January the way I did through the holidays I'd be up another 5 lbs. instead of down. And all through the holidays I was going to the gym 5-6 days/week, it's just that bit of extra food. At our age/weight, it doesn't take much to pack on the lbs.
I'm not even going to THINK about bathing suits yet! I have my 25th HS reunion in mid-April, so I'd love to be down another 5-10 before then. Well, 5 is more realistic. Let's set realistic goals for ourselves and celebrate the fact that we're still in there, fighting! |
Thank you Nat! I'm really praying for a woosh (or two). I'm not going to say that I'm perfect but I'm truly not pigging out. AND I do a TON of Zumba. And yes, I eat better than most people. When I go to the store and catch a glimpse of stuff people put in their shopping carts I'm amazed at what CRAP people eat and feed their kids.
One of my students said to me today that her goal was to look like me...and I thought "wow, this weight thing is all relative". I guess I just have a higher standard for myself. I probably COULD be happy with how I look now and maintain but honestly I feel like i"m busting out of my clothes. I tend to be bottom heavy so I need to be at a certain weight to feel and look good in my own skin, if that makes sense...Anyway you are so right, it is so hard at our age. In my twenties I could lose inches and lbs doing minimal work...and food was not an issue. But that was then and I have to focus on the NOW. I just wish I did a better job with this challenge. Tomorrow is my son's pancake breakfast with his scout troop. All the parents go and our sons serve us pancakes and sausage (the only two things on the menu). I"m hoping to just get away with having coffee and maybe a sausage or two..(they are tiny). It seems everywhere I turn is some kind of road block. My husband bought a cake that 's just sitting in the refrigerator..who the **** buys a cake for no reason. Cake should be for celebrating. He said we were celebrating my son's violin solo. I felt like saying "lets celebrate me whooping your A$$ because that is what I feel like doing right now"...as if I didn't have it hard enough there's a frickin CAKE in my refrigerator. |
Yep, I know, crazy to go to Mexico again! Last trip was with Mr River and this one is with my sis. She needs the getaway so I'm game. I knew this challenge would be difficult with 2 trips to Mexico and 1 to Chicago all within the challenge dates. Time to do my run. :D Have a great week everyone!
|
Good Morning Ladies! Busy weekend at work since all the theives seem to want to come in the store on the weekends so a quick post here since I am on my way again. Got in a great circuit workout Fri and Sat with a yoga session today on my BLC wii game. Feel great!:yoga:
Sounds like everyone is pumped and ready for the home stretch! :ebike: Natamars sounds like you got this girl! Zumba maybe you should make DH do a couple of Zumba classes with you then he might know how hard to have to work for the body you want and leave the cake in the stores. ;) Evil-keep on keeping on girl! The things that make me go "wow" seem to be everyday activities for you. And River you too...wow...have fun south of the border and enjoy a nice margarita..you deserve it! |

:bravo:WOW congrats Madam! That's alot of BUTTA!
|
Saturday: 1675 calories. 1 hour Spin class.
Well, so much for a low-calorie day. I hardly ate in the morning and then ran around doing errands for several hours. I was so hungry when I got home that I wolfed down about 500 calories in 20 minutes. I have to pace myself better. I'm up almost 2 lbs. on the scale - too much sodium and not enough water. Will have to work on that today. MadamB, 11 lbs. already for this challenge? Fantastic!! bama, hope you're having a great weekend. zumba, have fun at the pancake breakfast! |
