90+ minutes of hiking/walking today. Almost got lost on a new trail. For whatever reason, the trails were not marked and kept branching off into new trails. I was trying to keep track of my turns (left, right, straight, left, left, etc) but I somehow got confused. Since I was just out for a short hike, I didn't even bring water with me. I was near a dam, so I just kept following the sound of the water and found my way out onto a road and walked back to my car. Interestingly, when I got back, I found the posted trail map, and the one I took wasn't even listed. Maybe it was one (or more) in development?
JEN - you sound like me. I went recently took a trail called the "Lakeshore Trail", so I kept thinking it would follow the lakeshore around. Good thing I turned & came back the same way because that trail split off AWAY from the lake, and from where I was there was no other way back across the lake. I picked up a map at the park office on my way home. Glad you didn't get too lost, and I hope you enjoyed yourself!
I spent over 5 hours at the barn, working Gabe (yippee!), cleaning stalls and riding a rather silly percheron. My back, shoulders, arms and legs will all be complaining tomorrow, so it must have been exercise, but I think I'll just call it 60 minutes for the most strenuous parts.
Friday - 40 min walk to shops (hubby met me there, so I didn't walk home)
Saturday - 40 mins on treadmill
Sunday - 60 min walk with hubby and 30 mins on exercise bike
Personal Goal... 980 - 170 = 810 So 390/1200 goal for October
