SoDetermined - Welcome! I'll still be here a bit longer! Hey, I know weighing yourself is out of the question right now, but have you thought of measuring yourself? Lately, I'm noticing inches more than weight on the scale.
There is a measurement thread if you would like to join it....
Well ladies and gentlemen
I am challenging myself to get rid of 10 lbs by my birthday which is Sept 23. If I push the exercise and water intake I should be able to do it.

I know it is sad, but I do not even have anything to measure myself with. BUT, I have noticed my clothes fitting looser AND my "fat" jeans will not even stay up on their own anymore!!! So, a big wha-hoo!!! for progress. My birthday is comming up, and I have mentioned to my sisters that I would really like a scale, so here is hope maybe I will get one, LOL!!! AND, my husband has a promising job prospect, and IF he gets it he has promised to buy me an eliptical (used on craigslist, but HEY, I will still be getting one!!!!) Maybe I am getting a little over - excited and jumping the gun a little, but hey, a girls gotta dream, right .

Lynn
I think that is an awesome goal Lynnie, and what a wonderful birthday present to yourself to get out of the 300's!!! I know you can do it!!! You work so hard and it will pay off!!!
Lynnie You're doing so great, I love it!! I'm measuring twice a week. I need to post the results.
I've lost 8 pounds in the last 3 1/2 weeks, but I'm not worrying much about the pounds right now. I'm doing weight training and have increased my weight lifting by 1/3 in the last 5 weeks, so I'm really proud of that! I can also see my butt has some lift to it again, woohoo! I am loving that, seriously. I've lost almost 6 inches! I love lifting weights. Makes me feel buff and powerful!

Kerri,
i have to start doing some arm curls again instead of just walking. I want to start toning some areas that are not so fat.
kkcurtain - I agree! Any kind of strength or resistance training helps a ton!! I love how it "lifts" my body! I've been noticing huge changes in my shape! It's definitely worth it!
I am one step closer to being out of the 300's! Maybe August will be my month!!

Hey People!!
One step closer for me!! Started @ 350.7 - 2 weeks ago. Lost 5 pounds the first week, and now 5.2 pounds this week (even after a small stress binge last night). Down to 340.5 ... one more week and i'm out of the 340s!! 299 here i come!!
Hey Ladies!! Well, it is payday for me, and even though I can't really afford it I am gonna buy a scale today. I really want to know where I am ... even if its only down a pound, LOL!!! I know it is a little irresponsible of me because there is so much my family needs right now, but this is important for me and my health.
