It's not a huge thing but I managed to add 5 min. on to my stationary bike workout yesterday. The first day I did the bike my foot was killing me from some shoes I had worn the day before. I only managed 5 min before the pain got to be too much. The second day I tried a different style of bike (the old fashioned sit straight up style) and got 10 min. No pain, but that was all I managed. Yesterday I got 15 min on the bike. The last 3 min were hard, but I stayed on. I'm going to go for 15 min for the next 5 days and then I will try for 20.
balloonlady -- that's a great strategy. build slowly!!! You'll be surprised by your progress!
I'm going to add your 15 min to the group total!
As for me, I spent a couple of hours in the yard: raking pine cones, cutting tree limbs, picking up apples, and mowing the lawn. I'm going to count the 45 lawn minutes, as those did get my heartrate up, I think!
Group total ~ 8,073 + 15 (balloonlady) + 45 (me) = 8,133 min
Oops, forgot to add to the total. Thanks for catching me. I didn't mention the 20 min of walking after the ride, so I'll add that to today's total. Now I've made it a full week without missing a with some sort of exercise.
15 min on bike
25 min walk
20 min walk from yesterday
=
1 hour.
Here to report my exercise minutes for this week. I am soooooo! On July 13th I met and passed my exercise goal. I didn't slow down though which is amazing for me. I have been so much that my minutes for one week were 922! So, the new total looks like this now: Group total 8,396 + 922 For me = 9,318 new Group Total!
You guys are doing so amazing! I'm truly proud of all of us from people who are doing 5 minutes all the way up. I want you guys to keep going! Never feel like what you do doesn't contribute. Proudly add in your minutes no matter what they are. I could only do 5 minutes a day back in December so keep on going everyone!
