How's things going with you? I've been away for sooo long! |
I haven't been checking in just because I've been so busy between work and family things. I decided to stop obessively calorie counting and just eat intuitively and make good choices. I also reduced my working out as I think I was overdoing it a bit. I guess it must be working because I'm down to 145.8 today, which is my official weigh in day. YAY!

mileaway - I'm doing well! I had a revelation after a talk with the boyfriend that I shouldn't be too hard on myself about sticking to a routine and just embrace healthy eating/living as a lifestyle. Because if I try and stick to a schedule and I break the routine then I tend to fall off the wagon for a long time due to guilt/pressure. So for the past month I've not been working out as much as I've been focusing on trying to make the right choices with food. It's been successful, I've started eating a lot more greens! I've got a week off coming up so that's when I'm going to start working out and hopefully by the end I'll feel the need to work out more. Basically I've been collecting good vibes!!
bunna - Congrats! That sounds like a much healthier and more natural way to live!! It's exactly what I want to achieve. Glad it's working for you =) |
Celigirl88-welcome!!
And welcome to all the people coming back!:) So it's getting pretty close to finals time...I'm not sure why but I'm not quite as stressed out as usual at this time of year. I only have 2 finals this semester, so that's definitely helping. But still tons of work to do! I've been running. I'm doing a 5k fundraiser for Boston on Wednesday, a 10k next weekend, and I'm thinking about maybe doing a 10 miler in the middle of June (their "post race refreshments" include RC Cola, Moon Pies, fruit, biscuits, and baked goods-I kinda wanna do it just for the biscuits). I've just recently gotten back into running, and I don't want to overdo it, but I definitely have ADD when it comes to dieting and working out, so I want to do some races while I'm still into it. Hope everyone's doing well! Riestrella-I'm loving the workout song contest!! I think I'm getting an Iphone as a graduation gift-I'm going to use it as an Ipod too and load some songs on it to workout to (right now I don't usually run with music-I think running with tunes more often will definitely help!) |

Hellauu everybody!
I would absolutely love to join this challenge. I already filled out the spreadsheet and am super excited for Tuesday - which is my weekly weigh-in/measurement day. I originally started at 150.4 lbs and made it down to 139.8 lbs. Due to emotional/binge eating, PMDD and depression I went back up and have been stuck in the 140-143lbs range for about 4 weeks now. Today was an absolute **** day yet again. Starting tomorrow, I wanna do a 3-day detox to help me get back on track. The first day is always the hardest for me but I am very determined to do this. Time to go to sleep, have a great Sunday everyone! |
Welcome hoopty! I'm sure with the right dedication you can get back down to your previous weight. Just take it easy and pace yourself slowly! Don't put too much pressure on yourself.
|
I am new to this forum but this seems like a great challenge/motivation I will weigh in on the April 29th since I missed most of the days. Never to late to start ;-)
|
Thanks Riestrella! :) I survived my first day of Detox and day 2 is going good so far. I can't wait until my weigh-in tomorrow!
Hope everyone is having a great Monday! |
Could I be moved off the standby list? :) I would do it myself but not sure how / not sure I'm supposed to.
Got caught up in 'real life' things, but I've been back on track for a little over a week, and down to my lowest weight since I started losing (168!), so I'm pretty excited. :) |
I have been slacking off with my exercise but I went to Nike Bootcamp last night and got my butt kicked back into gear. Going for a run after work today.

Hey! I haven't been keeping up with the thread lately, but I have been keeping up with the spreadsheet and I'm excited to say it looks like I'm going to hit my goal for this challenge.
I'm finally ready to add real strength training to my routine, but short of getting a personal trainer (which I can't afford) I don't really know where to start. Do any of you strength train and do you have any favorite references that heed you get started? I'd like to use one that can be vouched for, especially from someone on here. :) |
