Congrats Kymish and Epicskyline! I am really pleased with how I did with my first weigh in for the challenge. Lost 4.6lbs. Exercised a good amount, three cardio days and two lifting days. My lifting days are seriously the highlight of my week. I can't believe how much I love doing it. And I got a free two week pass to LA Fitness on Wednesday, used it for the first time yesterday. It was great! I currently go to Planet Fitness but I'm absolutely switching to LA Fitness. My biggest Planet Fitness complaint is the clientele and they are completely different at LA Fitness. Loved it. A much more serious attitude with WAY better equipment and options. Which is to be expected because of the price difference but I really use to think that a gym is a gym is a gym. But I found out that's not true for me anymore! |

.3 away from goal!! We are heading on a cruise next month, so I might try to drop a few more pounds just so I can gain them back, eating all that all-inclusive yumminess.

maddie Amazing! You go girl! that must feel so good. So I have been doing so well with my runs. Eating so so. I had a bunch of marshmallows yesterday(why did I impulse buy them?). Today I am bumping up to 5 minute runs. Worried that I won't make them but looking forward to pushing myself as well. good luck ladies. |

Hey ya'll!! I am new to the boards and want to join in! Hope it is not too late! Due to a recent surgery, I cannot do any strenuous exercise until the 21st, so hoping to maintain/slowly lose for another 10 days before kicking it back in to high gear!! Thinking of starting with 30DS and then moving up!!
Love reading about everyone's goals and successes! Can't wait to be one of those success stories! |

Daki-congrats on the loss!! KRDaniel-welcome!! So for the past 2 or 3 weeks, the scale will show a couple pounds lost on Friday, and then by Monday (my weigh in day), it's back up! Weekends have been really difficult-especially because that's mostly when I get time to spend with my husband. Going out to eat is our thing, and I have yet to perfect a method of doing this while still staying on track. Will keep trying. But I was soooo frustrated when I logged my weight. It keeps staying the same and I feel like I'm really working! But I told myself what I usually do-this week I'm gonna work even harder! So far, the trip is going pretty well. I got in a workout on the elliptical last night. I've been mostly eating the food I brought, with some exceptions. The half marathon I'm thinking of doing is on June 1, so official training would start tomorrow!! I just can't decide-I feel like I'm way too busy to make another big commitment right now, but on the other hand, if I'm not committed, I probably won't do it! Will decide by the morning. My DH is telling me to go for it and that he'll train and do it too-we'll see how I feel about it in the morning!! |
Ugh, I'm having a really hard time drinking enough water lately. I was down a pound on Friday but now I'm up 2 lbs. this morning! Hopefully that will result in a big loss next week if I can start drinking water normally again!

Okie dokie. Got the batteries for my scale and put my starting weight in the Google doc. I have been on a shake diet for the past 3 days now and just came back from the gym. Hope to see some results :)
BTW, may or may not weigh in next week, or a little later (next Tuesday) because I'll be out of town. |
Hey all! I hope I didn't join this too late, and that I entered the information on the spreadsheet correctly. I am so excited to get started on this challenge, I actually am starting my wedding weight loss journey tomorrow, so this will be perfect to get to my halfway point. I know my goal is high, but I really want to push myself, and stick with my diet and exercise regime! My wedding date is 10-19-13, and I refuse to be a plus sized bride. I am supposed to be looking for my dress, but I am so embarrassed! Will they even have my current size in the style that I want?! My original goal was to be at 185 by Memorial Day weekend (last weekend in May for my non US friends). I figured I would add 10 more pounds since the end date for this competition is two weeks later. I am hoping to encourage and be encouraged for the duration of this competition. We are in this together!!!

My weight went up a bit, but I've been doing cardio daily and also a lot of new weight training so I expected my muscles to retain a ton of water. Here's looking forward to a whoosh!

AND I hit my goal today!!! 132!! Just going to keep plugging along like I am. I'm going on a cruise next month, so I might on purpose lose a few more with the intention of gaining them with no guilt on the cruise. Then I'll come back & be right where I want to be after eating yummies for a week : ) Yay for my goal!!!! This is 2 1/2 years in the making & it's finally here!!! |
