Scarlett - First off, you look amazing!!! So fun to see your progress pics!
Also, thanks so much for running this challenge and making a holiday one too! I've added myself to the holiday charts - I have a feeling I'm really going to need the motivation and accountability this time of year simply to not gain (let alone continue to try to lose), so thanks for pulling that together.
Good luck on the second to last weigh in everybody!
hey, i would like to join the 6 week challenge but my computer doesnt want to sign me into that spread sheet...can you please sign me in scarlett??? i will tell you my starting weight later
Missunshine - You're in the spreadsheet and you have plenty of time to post your starting weight. Try and find a computer that will let you access it for the future. If you can’t we can still work something out.
I’m now down 9.62% and 19 pounds. Last challenge I lost 8.96% and 19.4 pounds total, therefore I’ve outdone myself so far. I’m hoping to reach 10% for my second 5% star next week (I need less than a pound). Last challenge very few people reached the 10% mark. I’m especially happy since I was already dieting when I started. I didn’t have any water weight to lose. I’m going to try and keep up this low carb kick until next week in order to make it happen.
175 is the lowest number I’ve ever seen in my adult life. I saw 174 point something once but that was it. I haven’t sniffed the 170s in 4-5 years. I’m just going to try and stick with it through the next challenge and break though this barrier. I can do it.
That's AWESOME scarlett! Let's all AIM for our lowest (healthy) adult weights!!
I know that might not be possible given the time frame of these challenges, but let's AIM and SET A GOAL to get there by some time in early 2012!

I had an interesting thought while doing this chart stuff today. I originally planned to take a break before the next challenge. Then a few of you PMed me and posted asking for another challenge. Therefore I decided to put this together and keep things going. Last weekend an acquaintance I run with, bugged me all night to do a local 5k with her the next morning. I finally ended up caving and doing the race. My Christmas list will be nearly all running stuff. It feels like the changes I've made are actually becoming real life. Outside forces and the momentum I built up are keeping me on track.
Congrats on making it this far. 90+ people started the challenge and we're the ones who are still here. I can't believe the final week is upon us already. You must post a weight next week if you want to be included in the final chart. There is no "On Leave" for the final weigh in. I wont do the final chart until Sunday to give a bigger cushion in case people forget.

@Scarlett, I apologize for making your hard work so difficult, but the 176.6 was a typo that week (for 176.6). I actually noticed that mistake in my last weigh-in, and corrected it. The real weight was 166.6. I'm very sorry for messing up your lovely graph! :/
It's been a chaotic last few weeks, with my TOM, a midterm and break in the same area, and I've been plateauing at around 166 for days. So, the 176.6 was definitely an error on my part.
So, congrats to FassGal and Belia on their completely real and non-error-caused weight loss! W00t w00t.

Hey ladies, hope everyone is doing well...I haven't been active on 3fc for quite some time now....the past 5 months have been horrible for me (nutriton wise)...i feel as if I've lost control...I pretty much have been eating anything and everything...def do feel it has a lil to do with my brother and his gf being around so much (college kids) it's like whenver she sleeps over (which is a lottttt) we'll go for a midnight run to taco bell, some fast food place, dunkin donuts and it's like I'd tell myself oh it's ok I'm not "big" anymore so a lil of this won't hurt and a lil of that won't hurt but it's nov. 13th and I weigh 160lbs I'm so mad at myself for allowing this to happen...I worked so hard to get to 148 (the lowest I've seen in about 7ish years) and now ballooned up to 160 :/
Sorry...just needed to vent a lil...I've been meaning to say this for a while now, guess today was the day..may even have to do with TOM lurking around the corner...I have been really good the past 3 days and I will continue to be until thanksgiving (and that shouldn't be that bad b/c I will be cooking so def no unhealthy recipes) Anyways...congratz to everyone thats losing haha and scarlet thanks again for putting these charts together btw you look great in your progress pix and beila you are such a cutie
Pollifaxfive – no worries. I fixed the error in my excel file for the charts. I’ll just leave the posted chart as is and post the final corrected chart next week.
Cat eyes – glad you’re back with us. You’re only up around 10 pounds. At least you’re drawing the line now rather than letting things spiral further. I remember you saying you lost 50 pounds in the year before starting the first challenge. You’ve managed to keep most of the weight off since May. Be proud of yourself for that.
When you lose weight your metabolism slows by 80%. Someone who lost weight and is now at 160 needs to eat 80% of the calories a person who always weighed 160 does to maintain. It takes 13 months of maintenance for your metabolism to fully catch up. Therefore keeping most of it off for this long is still a victory.
Thanks Scarlet! I'm feeling much better after letting it all out I'm in a much better mood when I'm eating healthy--made me realize that it's not ok to eat how I had been eating the past few months on an almost daily basis. I think posting on here atleast once a week will help me stay accountable, I know it has in the past.
AHHHH!!!!! I went off plan for a party on Saturday night and have yet to recover. It doesn't help that there's nothing but junk food in the house. Today's eating was a huge improvement but nowhere near where I should be.
I spent most of yesterday and today Applying for a job. Writing cover letters and crap stresses me out so much. All those old unemployment anxieties come right back. I'm currently working but the position I applied for would be much better (perfect actually).
I saw 183 this morning. Hopefully most of it is water weight (I don't think I gained 5 pounds in 3 days) and my final number won't be too ugly.
The plateau continues! I trust that I will one day see the back of 166 & 167, but today is not that day. It's just been one thing after another: TOM, vacation, exam, and now a cold. TOM is coming right back around soon, too. Hopefully I will get back to my exercise regime in the near future.

Been there, done that! Are you working out? When I'm stressed I workout and it helps to keep me calm and not so affected by the stress. You'll get a better job!
A challange seems like a good way for someone to stay in check and to stay on track. Might have to give it a chance but afraid I be laughed at if I don't loose as much or as many pounds as I like. I am trying to put myself out there though this one time and see how it goes.
