I'll do the charts tomorrow morning/afternoon, I had a busy day running around doing things to get "active" for my new job and didn't get to it.

I did manage to eat my eggs and veggies for breakfast and drag myself out for a run (the rest of the day wasn't great though). I'm slowly getting back on track. I hope to put it all together tomorrow and be fully on board. It usually takes me a few days to ease back into things after being off the wagon for a little while.

curlysue82 - on the new "decade" I hope to join you in the 170s soon

Cheers Scarlett so delighted.. been hovering at low 180's since about June it was an event filled summer.. it feels like i am ready to start to get moving again.. i really am chuffed..

i spent this week also getting back on track after 3 weeks way off track, aw well as we all tell each other all the time, as long as we veer towards the right track eventually it's all good.. hopefully we'll both fly through the 170's

Morning, everyone! Just popping in to say hi and send good wishes to everyone for a healthy and happy weekend! We've got some beautiful fall weather here!

I've been doing a lot better with my exercise this month than I was towards the end of last month...feels good to be active even when I'm trying to read my management textbook on the stationary bike because I'm so short on time!!!

Edit: Oh, I wanted to say, too, that this challenge is really helping to motivate me! I want my 5% star so badly and I only need to lose a little more and I'll be there!!! I seriously think about it when I'm exercising and want to give up mid-workout...

Sorry about the delay in getting the charts up.

The 41 people who weighed in this week have collectively lost 221.8 pounds!!!

Curlysue82 – I’m still in the upper 180s, hopefully I’ll see the 170s by the end of the challenge. You’re definitely right about “progress not perfection” these challenges really help me to “hold on” when my motivation is low.

Bronte155 – you’re doing great. It’s definitely harder for people like you who have less to lose to rack up awards. Glad the challenge is helping you stay on track.

This is the time of year when it just gets harder and harder to stay motivated. I know the enthusiasm around this challenge (myself included) has been waning. The weather is getting colder and you just want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and eat. Also the holiday stress and temptations are everywhere.

Let’s try and pump some more energy into the challenge.

I’m posting some of my reasons for losing weight and pictures that inspire me, to get myself going. I want you guys to feel free to post some of your inspirations.

Inspirations

*I earned a college degree last year and am pursuing a career in the health field. I want to be able to inspire my future patients by showing them my “before” pictures and tell them I know what it feels like to be fat. Career is a HUGE motivation of mine.

*There's a certain guy I'd like to wow next time I see (a few weeks from now).

*Fitness – I started running in May and love the feeling of being semi-in shape. I want to run half marathons, take active vacations and participate in adventure races (ie tough mudder).

I am 5’10 and have really long legs. I realize I will never be Heidi Klum but would love to be able to rock a great pair of jeans like that. I think the dark wash jeans and heels look is SO SEXY.

Thanks for the encouragement, Scarlett! I saw 148 on the scale this morning, so if I can just hang onto that till my official weigh-in on Tuesday...I'm pretty sure I'll be at 5%!

Inspiration

I'm seeing my grandmother at Thanksgiving and she gave me a terrible time about my weight throughout my childhood (I was obese then and she thought it was her yearly duty to let me know, because you know, I hadn't noticed on my own! :P). I love that now when I see her she lectures me for being too thin...want to be sure I get that lecture when I see her next and not the old one!

I love how strong my legs start to feel after I've been using the stationary bike on a regular basis for a while. I have to go up three flights of stairs at the start of every workday, and I also love getting to the top without feeling like I'm about to pass out!

I'm learning to cook as part of this round of getting healthy, and I love how empowering THAT is--even when things don't quite turn out, it gives me such a rush of happiness to know that I tried and that I'm making good choices for myself and trying new things. Very, very different from the feeling I was getting from eating frozen pizza several times a week prior to this!

Scarlett I wish I had long legs. Unfortunately I inherited the short gene. My daughter is only 15 months old and she stands as high as my upper thighs at 26 1/2 inches.

WOO!!! Today = 186.6 – I am now back down to my ticker weight

Also my cold is mostly gone

Pollifaxfive – congrats on the 5% star!! IMO the % stars are the cream of the awards crop.

Bronte155
– an early congrats on 5%. I usually see a drop in the day or two after weigh in, it’s so weird. It sounds like you’ve already come a long way. I would try and not let your grandmother’s negativity upset you. She sounds like the type of person who always manages to find something to complain about regardless of the situation. Be proud of your progress .

Ryler832 – I used to always want to be short, one of those little girls that people always pick up. Actually a minor weight loss goal of mine is to be able to get picked up (hopefully by a gorgeous man ). My rock star fantasy is to be an Olympic gymnast that can fly though the air. Actually I’m about to put the gymnastics world championship on tv. I guess you always want what you don’t have.

Now I’m pretty comfortable with my height. It just sucks to be tall and fat because you feel so unfeminine around guys. I had amazing legs in middle school/early high school when I was thinner. I can’t wait for them to come back.

We disappeared off the first page!!

How is everyone doing this week? My scales aren't budging yet, but I have 2 days before my 'official' weigh in, so I'm not too worried. My exercise has been consistent this week, so just the feeling of getting fitter is keeping me happy. Day 2 of c25k this afternoon!

I had my official weigh-in this morning and weighed in at 149--a little higher than I was over the weekend, but I'm still excited to 'officially' be in a new decade!

I also worked out last night despite really, really not wanting to. I've been feeling a little depressed over the last few days (hormone-related, I think!) and that makes it harder to get myself motivated. :\ I try to remember that exercise --> endorphins -> mood boost!

I dropped to 141.6 yesterday morning. But I can feel TOM and I have a bad cold and I go out every night (alcohol..) and I don't eat enough through the day because I have classes and seminars and people to meet and stuff to do.. It's been a crazy few weeks.. I just need some rest and the semester just barely started..

Thanks for trying to get us back on track Scarlett and for all your work on our charts it is appreciated.

I have had a tough week and feel like i had given up at one point - i was feeling very low - to the point of calling into work sick for two days because i couldnt face anyone. I think im starting to come out of it now and bless him my wonderful BF took me away from Saturday to Monday so we could just be together and he could spoil me to try to make me feel better and i let him.

Tomorrow i plan on getting back on track and i just hope i can do it because i really do feel like i need to do this for me so that i can live happier and healthier.

Good Luck everyone
