jmko: I was cutting an english muffin with a bread knife. I was cutting downward into my hand, hence how I cut myself Oh well

A wedding planner? That's so cool! I'm getting married this summer and I have no idea where to start. I've got my dress taken care of tho - it should arrive around the end of May

Congrats on the size 2 skirt! Everyone deserves to look good!

---

I hit the gym tonight again. I did Week 1 Day 3 of C25K plus some strength training for my legs. The gym was so packed so I was a little fritzy on what to do since almost every machine was occupied and I wasn't really in the mood to wait.

C25K is getting a little easier. My right calf still starts to burn about half way through. I'll be amazed once I can start running for 5, 10 or even 25 minutes non-stop! I just gotta stick with it or else I'll ruin my progress and probably die on the treadmill.

I am down to 210.6 tho! That made me extremely happy I should be able to get to Onederland at this rate - Only 17 days I'm excited!

Gnat, I have foolishly done that myself... and I got no sympathy It sounds like your C25K is going good. I wish I had started the C25K instead of the stupid stop-start (made up) training routine I have for myself just now.

Today, I ran an entire mile with no stops in 10:45min I have a really nifty Nike+GPS app for my iPhone that tracks how far I am going, how fast, what time has passed etc. and it lets me set "challenges" to beat my previous mile, which I am super psyched about! This morning I ran the mile in 11:59min really lazily, but this evening I went back out and cut a minute off but my legs were really feeling it. It's my breathing that normally ruins my runs, not tired legs, so that was a good feeling So, with my new best friend my Nike+ app I am going to go out to beat my mile every day--every second counts! (And I need to get my mile down to 8minutes... argh

Apart from that, I've stuck to plan pretty well today. The hunger from recommitting has subsided, and I'm feeling positive Tomorrow is my weigh-in day for this week (it was meant to be today but TOM is still hanging on in there) but my legs are generally sore ALL the time so I might give it a miss. Hmmm.

Hope everyone is doing okay!

sun I'm jealous of the hotel, but probably mainly because I really want a holiday and to stay in a hotel haha...so I hope you get to go home soon!

gnat Sounds like you're doing well with the exercising, and I think that registering for your wedding sounds like a lot of fun hah! Sorry about your hand! Hope it's feeling better now! Also glad you're enjoying C25K!

yossarian I too, considered C25k, but for some reason I never got started with it and kind of did a similar stop start thing to you - but I enjoy it, enjoy pushing myself, since I go the same route I can base things off distance haha...it's fun, but yeah if you think the C25K thing might work better for you you could always start now! You sound like you're feeling positive, that's great!

~I bought a whole new outift for my job interview haha. I spent probably more than I should have (with a little assistance from my Dad) and got mid/low plain black heels, a black pencil skirt, 2 colours of elbow length sleeve knit top things (grey and a peachy/pinkish colour) and a black blazer/jacket thing with 3/4 sleeves. I'll wear the peachy/pink coloured top to the interview. I'll probably be a little overdressed, but I think it's better to show I take the job seriously - I think I could dress a little less..."up" if I get the job - tried on heaps of stuff and there was a lot that would have been great for the job, but I think the interview needs a little more. And if I feel SUPER overdressed, I can always take off the blazer as the outfit looks nice without it too. I'm excited to wear it, but super nervous for the interview! I haven't had one like this before.

My boyfriend and I celebrated 3 years together last night, we went out for dinner and dessert - I probably went a little overboard and calculated calories to come in around 2100-2300 for the day...but my weight was down a bit today so it's ok. Plus, it's life, it happens, I knew I was going to go over and wanted to just really enjoy the meal.

yossarianlives: Back in the day I did a start-stop routine for myself as well. I'd tweak it every once in a while, but it was pretty boring. I started it again back in October but I quickly dropped it when I started working and dropped the gym altogether.
When I started back up in January/February I decided to do more classes (zumba, on the ball, body sculpt, etc) and since I had an iPhone, I wanted to at least try C25K. I wasn't sure if I could do it at first (the 1 minute runs were killing me - mostly because of my heart rate getting so fast) but after a couple times It's gotten better. I've kinda neglected strength training, so I'm going to start doing more of that as well on top of my cardio to get nice and firm!

But whatever works for you is good. C25k is an easy program to pick up tho - and if you're already running for long periods of time, it'd be a breeze!

I've also heard good things about the Nike+GPS app. I almost picked one up a couple years ago when they first came out, but I realized I'm meant for the treadmill, not the road. I suppose it could work either way tho, lol. Keep up the good work Chicky! We're definitely behind you 100%!

Rainbow: Registering for the wedding is fun. I tried to drag him along one day when he was up here on Vacation last month and he lasted maybe 10 minutes before he wanted to leave Doing it online is a lot easier tho - I can read reviews and do more research on products and such. It's tough tho because he already has a lot of stuff but I want to upgrade stuff because it's well, out dated (and from a previous marriage :P ) So I find it a good excuse to shop for the things I like for our home together.

My hand is doing better Congrats on the 3 year anniversary! That's definitely exciting And I'm glad you enjoyed yourself at your meal - I don't see putting limitations on special events like that. As long as tho they don't happen every day! LOL And shopping is always fun! I loved dressing people at my job. You'll have to take some pictures and show us how you look in them!

---

Goodnight ladies!

gnat Online actually does sound pretty good, the whole reading review thing would be great and I guess it kind of means you won't put as many impulse type items on the list hah! Glad your hand is doing better! Oh I'm totally fine with having a night like last night in a while - I'm surprised I was able to do it! The last time I said I'd do it for a meal was my birthday in October last year, and I kind of failed haha - I still counted calories at every meal and didn't go that much over my limit at the time! I hope to take pictures in my outfit in the morning if I have time before I leave for the interview!

~I just did my best jog/walk so far. It was 3.44km total, 3.15km of which was jogging! I am pretty proud of myself to be honest. Now all I have to do is eat delicious lasagna for dinner and make sure I don't stress myself out too much over the interview tomorrow!

Rainbow: Congrat on your run! Im hoping one day I'll be able to run for that long! Maybe then we can meet up and go running together? hehe

And GOOD LUCK on your interview tomorrow! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you!

----

I did 15 mins of walking/running before my 45 minute zumba class tonight and boy oh boy I was about to DIE in zumba. My legs were killing me and I could not get my heart rate down for the life of me. Lesson learned : do other cardio stuff AFTER CLASS! LOL.

I was about to quit about 20 minutes into it but I convinced myself to keep going and just do whatever I could do.

The scale said.... 209.6lbs!!! I was SO excited!!

My goal is to get into Onederland before April 2nd - since that's when I leave to see my FI (It was also my weight when I first met him almost a year ago). He told me that I won't be able to do it (because of my past habits) which made me pretty upset. He's has the 'tough love' mentality and hasn't been very encouraging to me lately. I told him I need positivity or else it puts me down and I feel discouraged - and it's important to me to have him on my side. He said he's going to try harder and that he's glad I'm sticking with it this time and seeing results.

Let's just say, I'm having a lot of motivation to prove him (and anybody else who has doubted my weight-loss) wrong.

Let's go girls!! Keep up the hard work!

gnat ewwwww, sounds painful. i hope it gets better! congrats on your wedding! message me and i'll help with what you need!

yossarian ugh, i have TOM right now too. it makes me feel so bloaty!

rainbow enjoying meals is really important! especially for special occassions! and as long as you don't feel guilty about it later, then you're doing great!

i totally didn't want to cook last night so we went out for izakaya. had way too much meat, and not enough vegetables and saw a half pound gain today. also ran an errand with my coworker, then we went out to get lunch and gave in and got some meat-jun instead of eating my medifast stuff. BOO. AND i'm going out to dinner with a client. UGH. I'm definitely gonna see a gain tomorrow. so much for all that loss, boo. I was hoping to be down to 145. oh well. tomorrow is another day, i guess. hopefully by sunday i'll be down to my normal. i'm a little disappointed in myself, but i guess i'll blame it on TOM. my cat also managed to rip the bread bag open last night while we were sleeping and he managed to eat about half the loaf. *sigh* i don't know what to do about him...

jmko size 2???~~ awesomeness boo on your gain

yossa Way to go on your mile time! Thats awesome. keep it up!

rainbow way to go on your jog! I just am starting to et back into mine! bought some new running shoes. expensive ones! hope they help my foot( its been hurting lately when I walk). Good luck on your interview! and congrats on your 3 years together!

gnat You are doing so well! way to go! I know you can reach your goal is you just keep doing what you are doing now!

So anyway... I have been jogging again the last few days as my hotel is really close to the park I like to go to,. And my left foot has been KILLING me, I finally broke down and went to a running store and got fitted for some good (read expensive) running shoes. Luckily i can return them if I don't think they are helping. I am not eating well but I don't want to stress that while I am not at home and don't have access to all my cooking stuff. Tomorrow I am taking dd to therapy and school an going for a run and then to run errands and then to my gf's house in FL. So I might be in touch but have a great weekend girls!

Hey ladies! Im doing good, I dropped those pounds I picked up as soon as I admitted them, odd the way the body and mind work together. Im down to a wispy 184 (lol). Feels good to finally say goodbye to that 3 weeks pound.

Gnat- I LOVE the C25K, I really do. I am so psyched to think that I can do this! I did W2D2 today and it was much much better than the previous one. Im glad that you are doing it with me

Wow, did I really miss 3 pages of posts??

I'm angry with my body right now, because I've gained 2lbs back, yet nothing has changed! I've upped my calories just a little, but I'm still at a deficit. Blehhh. I'm hoping it's just water weight, since I've been ingesting massive amounts of sodium. I've been drinking a lot of water, trying to flush it out of my system. I just don't want to get discouraged and not keep up everything I've been doing for the last month.

I need motivation

Laneyy: Keep drinking water and keep up with your routine. I freaked out last week because I saw a 2lb gain within a couple days of getting off track and not sticking with the gym. After a couple days back on track, they disappeared.
Keep going girl! Don't give up after all the progress that you've made so far!!

---

I've had a bit of a wonky day emotionally. I forced myself to the gym to get some stress off my shoulders and completed C25K week 2 day 1. I did some arm exercises afterwards and could barely lift my arms all evening. So Sore! Now my stomach is cramping like crazy (not TOM related) so I'm hoping I feel better tomorrow.

I stayed on track all day and then blew it tonight with some homemade chocolate chip cookies my mom made. I was trying so hard to avoid them but for some reason (stupid me) I gave in It doesn't help that I'm back up to 210.6lbs - but I'm not going to worry too much about that yet - official weigh in is on Sunday.

I did my official weigh in today and I'm really disappointed in myself.
I weighed in at 212 :'(

I worked out 6 times last week and was eating well until about Friday. I was at 212.6 last Sunday (mar 13) and even saw 209.6 on Thursday. I blew the weekend by eating things I shouldn't have and now I have to pay for it physically and emotionally. I haven't been sleeping well all weekend because I had this stupid gut feeling I was going to be up on Sunday but I didn't do anything to help prevent it. I just kept giving in. Sigh.

I pushed myself to the gym today. I did C25K w2 d2 and a bunch of strength training on my arms/back/shoulders.

This is a new week and a new chance to make more changes. I've learned from my mistakes, I've learned that being lazy will bite me in the *** and that I have to go out into the world to get what I want.

I'm really glad I found this website, because I don't know where I would go for support. I wish you ladies were local to me.

ishi great job on dropping the gained weight.

lanney you can doo it!!!

gnat You are doing so well! I know its hard when the stupid scale acts like a Bit**! Just keep exercising and watching what you eat. It will HAVE to come off eventually. lol

So I had a nice weekend in FL and am back in a hotel again! blah. I stepped on the scale today at a random time seen 164 and died and went to heaven. I need to pull it together. running starts tomorrow and eating right as well.No more excuses. I am gonna look better by June( have a festival I want to look good for). Here we go round 3!

Sun- you can pull it together! Those 5 pounds will come off easy
Gnat- I always see a gain after a good workout, especially when it's 2 days in a row. I bet you will see a drop tomorrow if you hydrate and rest today!
Laneyy- you are probably right about the sodium, just keep going along doing what you are doing. The weight will go, it has no choice. You gotta believe me on this one, I just jumped off a 3 week stand still!

I think today is a rest day for me. I started week three of C25K yesterday and did some intense yoga on Saturday, so I'm a little sore today. I've noticed my shirts are a little big, I like that, much better than being a little tight. Oh, and I've also noticed I am NOT losing evenly like I gain. It's clearly face, boobs, legs then arms. Belly-butt-hips have some catching up to do!

Sun: Thanks for the encouragement Means a lot to me. I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. If the scale doesn't like me, the measurements will have to show some results...right? *crosses fingers*

I'm sure being in the hotel has kinda thrown your body for a loop. You'll get back to where you were in no time if you put your mind to it!!

snowcone: I took a break on Saturday. I was surprised that I made it to the gym 6/7 times last week, but I feel bad if I miss a day - like I'm not staying true to my routine :\

----

I hit the gym tonight (I almost didn't go!) and attempted my first "step" class. Holy sh!t!! I swear I almost killed myself. I had to slip out half way through because I couldn't keep up and my calves were KILLING me! I went upstairs and jumped on the treadmill and my heart rate was at 178. I felt bad for leaving early, but I just couldn't keep up and I'm convinced I would've pass out if I kept going.

I did 10 minutes on the treadmill to get my heart rate down and then did a full leg strength training circuit. Sweat was just dripping off me! I felt so gross but so good after. Funny thing is, my arms are killing me now from yesterday's work out!

I did see a drop tho - 210.8-211 which made me happy. Hopefully it'll keep going down slowly (or quickly - I won't complain! LOL)

I have an specialist apt at the gyno tomorrow and I'm hoping it goes well. I'm nervous tho.

Alright ladies! Hope everyone had a good Monday
