I think I've actually done everything in the video except for going to a nice restaurant by myself. I am a big appreciator of alone time. And I totally think that a coral buying road trip to the bay area sound like fun. I am also a big appreciator of coral.
I'm having a miserable week. We have midterms Friday and Monday and I am 100% freaking out. There is just so much to learn and I feel so far behind. My mom and sister came down for my birthday on Sunday which was lovely, and we had awesome brunch involving cheese, and cake and many, many Bloody Mary's, but it was not a productive day, and my stomach is still feeling a little off from all of the fatty deliciousness and alcohol. Okay, back to work! Hope everyone's having a good day! |
Woohoo! I think that vid is cute! :D
Heck, it'd get pretty boring if I feared being alone. (I live 2 hours from friends and family - for the past two years I've moved twice and once again in Feb). The dining alone part made me smirk. ;) I tend to get out for a planned-for meal once every two weeks or so. There's usually fabric napkins but my Japanese Dining spot is short on silverware, Chopsticks for the win! :D After a few times you get rid of the "for one" awkwardness. Dunno about going out to dance, but that's only 'cause I doubt I'd be comfortable just swaying in public and really I guess that's not my "scene"? Heehee. I have too much fun mixin' it up with my tunes blastin', dancin' like a manic crazy woman around the house! :lol3: I've definitely done the public transportation thing a few times, and you can tack on museums, festivals, and shows to that easy alone time list of libraries and coffee shops. Good luck, Coh! |
MsCoh- You will make it through! Good luck!
Zan- the dancing is the one thing I think I would never do. Unless it was at like a festival or something. But in a club... by myself... yeah when I was in college we had teams and code words and plans in place for creepy guys. Not that I have to watch for creepy guys hitting on me anymore but it is just so hard to change that mentality. LOL |
Yeah, that's what I was thinkin', Kay. With friends it's easier to just let loose, but soloin' it... in a club setting? Kudos to that woman, but she's not the one behind this post, maybe a few more pounds down and a few more energy levels up, O.o, I need to get my "spunky/who-really-cares-anyway?" back!
I like the stayin' safe idea you have there, shows that you're one smart cookie. :D And lady, there are creepy guys going after women of all sizes. Remember that. *shudders with memory* On a lighter note, I got a new coverup for sleeveless work shirts. My sister picked it out a few weeks back and I just now wore it today. I'm in love, as goofy as that sounds for this t-shirt and jeans girl. :D It's soft and flowy, and just makes me want to walk quickly to get that breezy-shirt-thing going on, haha! Crazy, I know! :dizzy: |
Hey ya'll,
Life is finally getting back to normal here. We are still having aftershocks, but they have become smaller and less frequent. Still pretty freaky though. I had weigh in yesterday and was expecting it to be AWFUL but I only gained 300grams which is .7lbs. Very happy. I managed to stay under 100kg which is very exciting and I know I can lose it again plus more next week. I figure if a girl cant have an excuse to gain weight during a natural disaster when can she :P There are some things only chocolate can fix. Tehe. I have missed everyone on here. I wont be on much though for the next few months. I have so much uni work to do. Cant get over how fast this year has gone. Love to you all. xx |
Bex, you did well with all that stress on your shoulders. I hope those earthquakes become nothing but a memory soon,. Good luck with your Uni work! :carrot:
|
Zan- Oooo good point about creepy people go after all shapes & sizes! Which is scary since I was picturing stupid frat boys but the kind of creepy guys that might go for the larger version of me could be even creepier! lol Bars and clubs are totally not my scene. I used to claim I didn't like it because of the smoke but both my home state and my current state have passed the smoke free thing. Damn! Now I don't have any excuses. lol I like places where you can actually have a conversation without screaming if you wanted.
bex- great job!! I am so amazed by your ability to maintain through all the craziness! I am glad things are getting back to normal. Good luck with your studies! |
Morning ladies! T-22 hours for midterm part I, but I haven't quite cracked under the pressure... yet. I have my weigh-in tonight, and I'm really hoping for a loss. I definitely indulged on my birthday, but have been pretty good the rest of the week, and I even managed to get a run in yesterday despite the academic craziness. Anyways, most of my life is pretty miserable right now, so a loss would be a big mental boost, but I'm trying to keep my expectations low.
Kay- I totally think noise is a valid excuse for not liking clubs or bars. Plus, drinking at home is way cheaper. It's what all the classy ladies do... Bex- Good luck with the school stuff! Ade, I'm thinking this week is gonna be our week. Seriously. How are the rest of you doing? |
I can't believe that it's not Friday yet, what the heck?! :tantrum:
Well. I wonder if I'll manage to finally put that pulley-gym thing together before next week, I've had that thing for half-a-month already, shesh! I've been using the treadmill, but me on the elliptical is a saracastic-laugh, I don't know how some ladies can do that for 30 minutes, I can't get 5! I'm tempted to say that it wasn't made for tall people, but that might just be the excuses creepin' in. So I got barely-okay legs (great for walkin' miles), but I really need to get some strength back in my arms! That's what I get for switching from grocery store bakery work to a desk job. A few years of not haulin' around giant tubs of frosting or heavy boxes of wickedness has turned me back into a weakling. Though being away from the fresh-from-the-oven things sure helps for being OP! Well, there goes my lunch break. Later, Ladies! |
Logged nearly 4 miles on the treadmill... and no, that pulley gym thing is still in pieces,
|
Good job Zan... on the treadmill that is. No so good on the gym thing. ;) But it's OK, you will get it set up eventually!
|
So excited! After A MONTH of being stuck, I'm down 2.2 lbs!
Ugh, now back to studying... |
Hi everyone, sorry I've been so MIA. I've been so off plan since the end of August. I had a pretty so-so week. Some hits and some misses. Down .4, I'll take it.
Coh - congrats!! And during birthday week, good for you! (and happy belated birthday!) bex - glad things are finally calming down. Good luck with Uni! Zan - way to go on the treadmill!! kay - how's the crafting? I'm hoping to get back on track this week (jeez, I say that every week). Just kind of having a hard time. Feeling bleh. Have a lovely weekend ladies! |
Congrats, Coh and Ade! :carrot:
Have a nice weekend, Ladies! Mine is a scheduling nightmare already, |
Congrats MsCoh!!
Ade- I have been having a hard time lately too. I always say I am going to break the cycle but it only lasts for a day or two. :/ I did get a run in last night though. Well my weekend is a little crazy as well. Tonight is my Saltwater fish club meeting which I recently have succeeded into the Presidents position. Ahhhh! Tomorrow I get to spend a couple hours with the hubby before he heads off to work and I head off to visit a friend. Sunday is an all day crafting day. I am meeting up with my coworker to kind of finalize our plans and finish off projects. My craft show isn't this weekend but next. Can't wait for it to be over with! lol |
