Ugh, I don't know what got into me yesterday, but I definitely "binged" on junk,:rolleyes:. That's it, no more diet coke. That and my kiddie Flintstone sour gummy vitamins are my "Gateway Sugar-Craving Downfall." I'll finish the jar, then no more of those as well. :(
http://www.dizzyboy.com/jokes/funny-...chew_thumb.jpg This sucks! But at least I don't want Oreos anymore. Yuck! |
Super cute Bex! You look great. Happy Birthday!
Well last night was a good night. I cooked my own food and went for a run. It was kind of a pathetic run but it was to be expected since I haven't been getting out there lately. Today I am going to do a 1 mile run. I am thinking that I will start running at least 1 mile every day. I am sure I wont actually do it every day but I can try! I am just worried about the 5K. |
Morning, ladies!
Bex - you look great! Such a difference! And Happy Birthday (big birthday month for us all, huh?) zan - I can relate to your binging (though you already know that). I love those gummies! But I agree, they are a gateway food (lol). Kay - way to go on the run! Pathetic or not, you did it! So I really calmed myself down (with the help of you guys). I sat for forty minutes writing myself a letter. The letter included what went wrong over the weekend, what has been going wrong all month, what I have accomplished in the past three months, the fact that I need to have a discussion with my BF, and my plan to get back on track. I think this letter is going to be very helpful. I'm going to keep it with me at all times. I also admitted to my boyfriend that I was feeling like a failure. I felt dumb because I know all of the tools his trainer has been telling him about food (what to eat, what not to eat, what to avoid), but still, here I am, overweight. I told him that I have a food addiction. And he has been making it very difficult on me. He felt horrible. He said he will not tempt his dad anymore because it's hurting me. And I'm pretty sure next time we go to the grocery store, if he tries to get crap for his dad (not because his dad asked, he is trying to sabotage his dad, hence, the bet), I will leave. It's not good for me. I also made sticky notes of encouragement and put them on my mirror. I planned my food for today, went grocery shopping, and am picking that Beck Diet Solution back up. So all in all, I can do this. Helpful mantras: I can't have it both ways. I can be loose with my eating or I can be thinner. I cannot be both. Throw it away. It'll be wasted in the trash or in my body. Either way, it is wasted. Just because I want to eat this does not mean I should. Losing weight is a long term goal with lasting advantages. What is lasting about eating this unplanned, unhealthy food? So moral of this post, I'm breaking through my month long depression/weight loss stall. I plan to be on plan Today, Wednesday, Thursday, and most of Friday. We are heading to Vegas. I planned to pack food (and bring our own alcohol), but it turns out we are flying, so that's going to be "bad" overall. But Sunday, when we get back, I'll have a good, healthy dinner. And Monday, I'm back full speed. Thanks for the support everyone. Sorry for the novel! ;) |
Ade- I am so glad you are feeling more focused.
Ok so I need your opinions on a totally non diet related issue. I am picking out business cards... lol and I need help picking one. I do a waste reduction recycling thing. Which one do you like the most? http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...ngelz/tree.gif http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...greenearth.gif http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...heartworld.gif |
Kay - I love the first one! Well, really, they are all cute. But the first is my fave.
|
thanks for the input Ade. :)
|
Hm. I vote first one as well, it looks simple but that's good for business cards (simple and to the point! and it matches your recycle image, :carrot:) I like how the design is clean.
2nd one will probably have writing overlapping the image (might be hard to read), and the third one's boxy image looks unfinished and text might lead to overlap too. But that's just my thoughts, ;):p. The minis are the otherside of the card right? Odd how the first one is a solid darker green. O.o; Vegas has grocery stores just like any other place right? Stock the mini fridge with healthies!!! :lol3: |
Zan- your break down of all the cards is exactly what I was thinking too. I set up the first one with my info to see how it looked and it actually lets me add stuff to the back. Woohoo! I hope there is no extra charge for that or anything. But I added my company name to the back in the light green color. Looks nice. I might go with that one.

Of course, the first thing through my mind was, "I wonder what the finished product looks like", then the common sense thing of "it's odd to request a picture of the finished business card, baka!"! /facepalm.
Well, it's raining so hard at my office, that we have a roof leak. The last place we were at that was a common occurance, so much for hoping that this building was built better. We haven't even had a hurricane yet people, what the heck!!! A little rain shouldn't be soaking ceiling panels! :nono: So battling that and lightning flicking off the power (forcing my computer to restart, oh joy), I'm not getting much work done. Ah well, 15 minutes till I'm off the clock, :hyper: |
Yeah it is a bit awkward to post my business card. lol But it came out cute, I have my company name in green at the top of the card and below that in lavender I have my mini mission statement and then my website, email, name and title below that in green again. And of course the name on the back of the card in pale green.

Awesome, Awesome, ;).
It's Wednesday again, Ladies. Ever since I started this Sunday Gameday thing, the weeks have been flying (2 weeks so far,). Hm. I like this, haha! |
Funny/kinda cute story: My boyfriend is attempting to be supportive. Around 9 last night I announced that I was going to have strawberries and he pinned me down and said "No. For your own good." I had to explain to him that I planned on eating those strawberries. He made me show him my plan. So that was cute. I then explained to him that if I feel like I need a strawberry or other fruit/veggie binge, that's okay. If I go on a three day chocolate binge, that's where he can/should step in. I then said I didn't get fat off of fruit. That was pretty funny.
I feel good. A little tired, but good. Does anyone watch Glee? Oh my goodness, Brittney (S. Pierce, not Spears) stole my abs. I want to look like her. I'm thinking of printing out a picture and carrying it with me at all times. She is so hot. Hope all is well!! |

So I'm going to get my hair cut like Ginnifer Goodwin in the Noxzema ads...really super short (I'd post a link to a picture, but apparently that might get mistaken for advertising). Then I'm going to dye it. I get bored with my look easily. I'm thinking dark brown...I'll post a picture at some point! :)
|
I had to wander around looking for the picture, but found it. I think the short pixie cut will look cute on you!
