I think most of my problem is that every time I ever dyed my hair my dad hated it. He has always loved my hair since I was a kid and he made me wear braided pigtails all the time. lol Anyway, the last time I died it I got highlights and he told me I looked like a hag. So now that I have actual gray streaks I really feel like a hag but I still worry about how it will turn out. I realize how circular and ridiculous that is. lol Which is why I need to just dye it!

Kay, you do not look like a hag! You have such pretty hair. I think you should just give it a go. Keep it simple. and post pictures ;) Coworkers just took me to lunch...it was yummy...too many points yummy lol. Right before weigh-in, too! |
Seriously Kay, your hair is gorgeous! And I couldn't see any gray in the pictures. If you're nervous I'd say leave it to the professionals. Or possibly try out a semi-permanent dye to start out with, so that if it's bad at least you'll know it will wash out in a couple of weeks?

Kay -Ah I didn't even think of semi-permanent. That's a great idea, Coh. I agree, though, it is gorgeous and I didn't see grays either. I'm really cheap/poor/badatmanagingmoney, so I can't afford the professionals. But some things are worth the money. You'll have to let us know how your craft show goes. I know, kinda random in he context of this post, but you mentioned it recently.
Coh -Good luck at your weigh-in as well. I'm having a tough time and it is just birthday week. Imagine how the holidays are gonna be with graduation, Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, etc (not in that order at all lol). Okay, enough avoiding work... |

Thanks for the hair complements guys! I am "lucky" that most of my grays are coming in around my temples so it is only really noticeable when I wear my hair up. Obviously I don't really wear my hair up anymore. lol MsCoh- that is exactly what I was thinking of doing! I found a pravana semi-permanent dye that seems pretty quality. I just can't find where to actually buy it other than Ebay or something. None of the beauty shops I have gone to or called seem to carry it. It's cool though, I don't mind ordering it online. The price is usually cheaper anyway (sometimes even with shipping included). Ade- I will be sure to post pictures! And thanks on the craft show thing. I am looking forward to it but its a western theme and I can't say I am a western girl. I wonder if any of my stuff will sell! lol |

Bah, mean Dad! Heck, we only live once, play with hair colors if you want! I don't recall even asking my folks if I could do it in HS, I just did... :eek: I bet that was an eye opener (and really, what could the do after the fact? Try and dye it back? Ha!). Ade, the gain was probably lunch related, ;), :goodluck: Well, I finally got the gym put into the garage, now I only have to figure out how to put it back together. Ugh... Why is it when something hurts, that I am totally convinced that the source of the pain could be removed with no ill-effect to the rest of me. I usually come to this realization while laying in bed attempting to ignore the pain and fall asleep.
Toothache, take the tooth. Pain in one knee, do I really need two legs? Cramps, oh g'ah! I don't really need lady organs! Migraine, take my brain, please!!! I'm reflecting on that as I sit in my desk chair at work, as for the first time in years, cramps are back... Wahh! TOM's unusually shorter than usual since losing nearly 50 pounds, but dang it, I haven't had cramps since HS! "The Joys" of weight loss. :mad: I reflect on this as I took 15 minutes off from work and went to get painkillers from a gas station. I came back with them, but what do you know, diet soda and a chocolate bar tagged along with us. Soda I haven't had for months, and it's 0 pts, so okay. But I haven't had a candy bar since Dec'09. After all that grumbling while waiting in line, I've only had two small bites. This 9 pt sucker's gonna last all day and into tomorrow. I think that's a potential NSV, considering that I used to inhale these things like each bar was a handfull of popcorn. I would so take off work and try to sleep this off, if only I wasn't the only one at work today. That's probably a good thing, because I'd only be mentally yelling/growling at my coworkers anyway, and who needs to see my grumpy face right now anyway. Haha! Though sleep sounds heavenly... Bah, I'm babbling at you all and avoiding doing my work, I better get my act together. :hug:s to you all. I'll stop whining and invest in a heating pad and a large jar of Midol already. :lol3: |

Hello all! My name is lindsey and I am 22 years old from ohio. I started weight watchers after gaining some weight throughout college (I just graduated) and am soooooo hungry! Any tips on how not to give in/ quit? Ack! Good luck with you all!

Hi Lindsey. Welcome! I'd say the best way not to quit is to find things to eat that satisfy you that are still on plan. And if you're frequently hungry, definitely investigate 0-1 pt snacks. Some of my favorties are snow peas, broccoli, WW yogurt, whole wheat pitas w/ fake butter, or vitamuffin tops. Good luck!
I had a gain yesterday of 0.6 lbs, and am trying hard not to be discouraged. It helped that I'd finally ordered a new pair of my jeans in a 30 (2 sizes smaller!) and they fit. Even so, I'd love to be at my goal by October and it's a little disheartening that I've been kicking around the same half a pound for 3 weeks now. Zan, I really hope you feel better! I never ever had cramps until went on OCPs and then it was like, "Oh my god. I totally see what everyone else is complaining about." So yeah, complain away. Anyone have fun weekend plans? |

The quake was in my city :( Most insane thing I have ever experienced in my life. We had no power and water until midday. Still having after shocks. Half of our city centre has crumbled. Pretty devastating to be honest. All my friends are coming over for dinner and drinks. We're all pretty gutted. Lets just say weight watchers has gone out the window today :( |

So incredibly anxious. And been eating my feelings but trying to get back on plan today. Its one thing I have complete control over. I had crap food last night and I feel so bad for it today so I will be good from now on. :D How is everyone? |
