of course, I WAS 207.5 last thursday....and then I shot up to 210.1 yesterday...but I'm 209.0 as of this morning, and I'm GOING to keep losing and stop gaining. I want SO badly to get under 200...it's been years. =/
That's fantastic, Divine!! I'm totally excited for you! It's been years since I've been in the 100s, too. It'll be so nice...I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas.
Now that you're 2 lbs ahead of me, though, I have some catching up to do.
Lol angee, don't worry. Knowing me, I won't lose anymore for two weeks...or I'll keep gaining and losing. You'll probably beat me to the 100s...cause you're doing great!
Hey angee and divine - I am still stuck at 208, but want to bust through to 206 this week. That would put me at the 30 pounds lost mark which would be so awesome. Committing to three hard workouts at the gym this week and not exceeding my 1500/calorie a day limit. Keep up the great work ladies! Cool that we are all more or less in the same place!
divine - i don't buy it...you're doing fantastic, and I doubt I'll beat you there. I'm so afraid I'm going to hit a plateau right at the 200 mark and be stuck there. I'm trying not to psych myself out too much...but I cringe every time I step on the scale.
blueridge - sounds like we are all right at about the same mark...pretty neat. Your exercise and calorie plans sound good - I'll cross my fingers that you get your 206!
PS - I cheated on my weigh-in date yet again...down to 208!
lol angee you're we're back to (almost) exactly the same. This morning I weighed in at 207.9...so we've only got .1 lb difference.
Now, this is probably TMI but I've been having some constipation issues, but I'm feeling better as of today, so maybe if I weigh in tomorrow, I'll be down some...hopefully.
After this friday though, I'm OFFICIALLY going back to only weighing once a week. This every day thing is making a mess out of me. I can't handle seeing the scale go up, even if I know it's just water weight. I was doing much better when I just weighed once a week.
I noticed that we started out at almost the same weight, too. Looks like we're just weight twins.
I'm a true believer in only weighing once a week. I think it's much healthier on your psyche. However...it's so tempting! That scale is more tempting than a big ol' piece of pie. But I need to go back to my once-a-week plan, too. I might need to just stuff the scale in the closet and only bring it out on Saturdays.
Generally, I weigh saturdays...but I got off track because I wasn't in town for like 3 saturdays in a row...and I won't be in town this saturday or next saturday either. lol
I'll weigh only on fridays for a while, until I can switch back to only saturdays.
Hello!! Can I join please? I'm at 223 just now, have only just started. Would really like to make onederland for Christmas, but maybe that's too ambitious? I'm not sure! I'm going to aim for it anyway!
I'm a bit worried about not getting enough exercise though. It's so damn cold and wet in Scotland I don't want to go outside! It's also unsafe to go out for a walk in the evening where I stay, and i'm too busy during the day. I also don't have enough money to join a gym. I'm doing dvds in front of the tv at the moment, but that's all. Anyone got any other ideas?
beescwee - welcome! I don't think it's too ambitious as long as you put your mind to it. All you can do is try.
There are a lot of really good exercises you can do at home. Squats, lunges, sit-ups, modified push-ups, etc. You can even add a few light hand weights to them (maybe start out with a 3 lb or 5 lb weight in each hand as you do lunges and squats). For cardio, try running in place, jumping jacks, jogging around your house, going up and down stairs (if you have stairs)...or even do some really heavy cleaning around the house. You'd be surprised how much of a workout scrubbing the bathtub can be.
You'll get there! Good luck!!!
