I need to get myself an official weigh-in day. I should have done Wednesday, but I pretty much weigh myself every morning. I'll probably keep doing this until it actually starts hindering my progress. Anywho, I weighed in yesterday at 215 which is 4lbs down from last week. I'm feelin' more and more like onederland can happen by Christmas!! Stay strong!!
And welcome beescwee!!

Divine and angee - I think I need to make the switch from every day weigher to once a week. It is definitely driving me crazy to see numbers go up when I know it's not 'real' weight gain but water retention. It makes me crabby which is not a good way to start out the day. So, what if I take a baby step and weigh in every other day instead of every day? Not ready to make the once a week jump yet, but I figure that is at least a little bit more sane for myself.
Feeling a bit stuck (see my posts in the cal counter and sexier by thanksgiving threads), but hopeful I may be able to pull a modest (1/2 pound) loss this week (Monday is my weigh in day) if I stay on track today and tomorrow. Keep up the great work - onederland is in sight!
Welcome, Beescwee! You might want to try out some exercise videos if outdoor workouts aren't a possibility. I'm a fan of the 30 day shred, myself.
Thanks for the hellos everyone! And hi Alyssamichelle! I'm going to start just weighing once a week too. I've been doing it every day and it's beginning to drive me a bit mad. I think I should also not keep getting my hopes up when I haven't organised my exercising yet. I can't really run around the flat what with the little old couple downstairs, so need to get more exercise videos/join a gym before I can really get stuck in! I will look into 30 day shred
I just have to share this, because I'm just thrilled. I went shopping today and was BEAMING when I got home. Not only was I able to fit into a Junior's L sweater (when before, Junior's wasn't even in my vocabulary), I bought a new pair of jeans that make my big bum look glorious and are a 16!!! I started out 3 1/2 months ago in a 22!!! 3 sizes! I wonder how many girls they see doing a jig around the store....ah well - they saw one today!

Awww, but I can't fit into all 16's or all L's. I have the world's largest, manliest calves - I swear...I can't even pull most jeans over them. You're one hot lady, and at your weight, I guarantee you'll be down to a 16 soon.
I don't know if I remember correctly, but when I was 180 I think I was a 16....so if it's still like that, I've got a while to go =/
And trust me, I know EXACTLY what you mean about the world's largest manliest thighs. Mine are HUGE. My boyfriend is 280 lbs, and he's only like 6 feet, or 6 foot 1....and his thighs are like half the size of mine...

Reason: gramatical errors
It sounds like you and I have very similar body types. I've just always been curvy...big chest, smaller waist, hips that could bare children all day, and gigantic thighs and calves. It makes it very hard to fit into clothes...but every once in a while, it works out.
I thought that I had the manliest calves around! I've never owned a pair of jeans because of them. Stupid things...They're about 3 times the size ofmy skinny boyfriends! Anyway, well done angee!
congrats Angee - sometimes fitting into different clothes or a new size is even more gratifying than seeing the number on the scale go down.
I posted it on the 'sexier by thanksgiving' but I'll post here too that I am not daily weighing this week just to try it out. It's going to be TOM soon so the last thing I need is to see those fluctuations which are just water but still really demoralizing. So I'm not weighing until Sunday and Monday, but am going to stick to my plan and hope that it pays off. 1.5 pounds to go until I get to the 30 pounds loss mark! Hope I can make it there this week!
And, yes, sigh...jeans are tough. My issue is that they fit in the waist but are too tight in the thighs, so I end up having to get a size that fits in the thighs but is too big in the waist, and wear a belt or hitch them up all day. WAY simpler for guys whose bodies have less curves.
Angee, I guess we're more alike then I thought. I TOTALLY just bought TWO PAIRS of size 16 khakis for work!!! I was SO freaking excited...I'm still in XL and XXL tops though, but I've always been pretty big up top so it doesn't surprise me. I doubt I'll ever get below a L, MAYBE a M.
Oh, and I'm going to stop weighing every day once I'm BACK under 207.0....but this morning I was 207.5, so hopefully I'll weigh Thursday and Friday and then ONLY weigh Friday mornings from then on...haha.
beescwee - We should have a manly calves contest...bet I'd win! hahaha
blueridge - i have the same problem with pants. It's almost impossible to find a pair that's cut wide enough for my big ol' calves and thighs but still fit my waist. i'll probably always have that problem, though, no matter how much i weigh. Even when I was skinny - same problem - i just enjoyed it more back then ;p
divine - I was so excited to read that you're in 16s! I knew it couldn't possibly be much longer. Even though I'm averaging Larges, I still have to get XLs in some shirts (depending on how clingy the fabric is and whatnot). Ya know, girls with small chests just THINK they want boobies...until you have them and can't fit them in shirts...lol. I trrriiiied really hard to keep from weighing in the middle of the week - but I broke down today. I decided that, at least for a while, I'm going to let myself weigh in on Saturdays and Wednesdays...I think I can handle that.
