191 today - look out 180s!

Dollylala - how are you doing?

Taylor - how about you?

191 today. Feeling very discouraged since gaining back 30+ lbs after losing my job but have to start again somewhere, I suppose. Here's to a fresh start

dancerindenver 11-02-2012 03:00 PM

Riesz - sorry about the regain. I can totally relate - I lost around 40lbs a few years ago and then gradually regained after a year of maintenance, partly from job and relationship stress. It sucks having to do it again! Especially, since I thought last time was it - permanent.

What kind of program are you following as far as diet and exercise?

Riesz 11-02-2012 03:13 PM

Mostly just walking and eating healthy homemade meals. I use a calorie counting website to track my intake, output, deficit, etc.

I started going to the gym for weight lifting around when I hit goal last time and was steady for several months but after I lost my job and was down for several months I stopped going. Started again for a few weeks in Sept but felt so discouraged and embarrassed I stopped again. I know I need to start weight training again as soon as I'm feeling more comfortable in the gym, maybe after 5-10 lb loss to get me going.

One good thing in all of this is I have personal proof how weight lifting works its magic. Last time I was at this weight I was a full size larger in clothes. Overall my body looks smoother than before, too. I'm trying to keep that in mind to get me motivated to start weight training again.

Oh I'm 191.6 today, probably no more wooshes till next week or so

Riesz 11-05-2012 12:06 PM

Still 191 today, but I had a salty dinner last night so I'm hoping the weight is just inflated slightly and I have lost a bit. I'll be drinking plenty of water today to flush out that salt so hopefully tomorrow will show a smaller number!

This morning I walked for 45 minutes and felt so energized being outside. A few tiny snowflakes were falling :) I had a good breakfast this morning and I'm looking forward to salad with chicken and strawberries for lunch.

I am already feeling motivated and excited to lose the weight again. I can't wait to fit into my cute winter clothes, especially a few smaller sweaters I bought on sale last spring.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello everyone! I was 197.5 this morning, so may I join this thread?

I had to figure out how to transition from my summer biking, which I miss. I've been enjoying the cooler weather for walks (although not when it is really cold!). I've also been going ice skating a few times a week.

taylorrr21 11-13-2012 05:21 AM
