The words “cookie diet” conjure images of consuming Oreos and other types of store bought cookies, but that’s not the way it works. Finally, the cookie diet is dangerous because it delivers results without teaching good eating and fitness habits. A diet of only 800 calories will help you lose weight in the short term. Anytime the body does not receive enough calories than it needs to support itself, it will burn through its reserves. However, this diet is not healthy enough to stay on forever. Once you stop the cookie diet and return to your previous eating habits, you will gain the weight back! The cookie diet does not encourage an exercise program nor good eating habits that you need.

Instead of jumping on a fad diet, such as the cookie diet, you need to find a diet that teaches you not only how to eat properly, but how to get all of the proper nutrients you need. It should also encourage you to partake in an exercise program that helps you burn calories.
Eating is not the cause of weight gain. The causes of weight gain are not eating properly and living a sedentary lifestyle. The best way to lose weight is to fight those villains. The cookie diet does neither of those things. It does not address the root causes of weight gain, and therefore will not be helpful to you if you wish to live a healthy lifestyle.
