Hi ladies, just wanted to introduce myself here as well. Today is the first day I'm returning to a ovo-lacto vegetarian lifestyle. My main goal is to mix it up everyday food wise, try new thing (quinoa among other things), and hopefully work towards being a vegan in the next few months. I also wouldn't mind losing the last 4 lbs as well.

So in the spirit of trying new things, tonight I made chickpea curry for dinner and it was delicious. I also had lentil brown rice and broccoli. Day one of being a recommitted vegetarian is already better than my previous 2 years with the lifestyle.

ok i thought of a resolution, seeing as how my daughters father after 4 years has decided he wants to be in her life (this was an awful relationship) and on tuesday i have to go to court i really don't want this to effect my being on track and my schooling so that will be my resolution to have control of my own life.

start weight: 278
valentines goal: 265
st patricks goal: 255

Alright! Im ready for the new challenge!
SW- 218
MG- 208
Goal- 202

On a side note...My prepregnancy weight was 197. So, I have 20 more pounds to lose. My son is now 5 months old, so I am incredibly proud to have lost over 50lbs in 5 months. Im very excited to get to the end of this challenge and see how very close I will be to my pre-pregnancy weight.

Another side note...I really slacked off for exercise during the 2 weeks leading up to Christmas. So, I have gone to the gym for the last 6 days (not today as it is closed). Somehow, I have had this renewed energy after a month of hardly any weight loss in December. And since the last 6 days I have been able to increase my running from 1km to 3km! I look forward to doing this everyday. Im excited to be able to tell you guys someday that Im at 5km....
On that note Ive added a picture of me pre-pregnancy since that is just about what my mini goal is.

Hello all, I weighed in this morning at just below 240 lbs, which was expected after the partying last night. I'm ready to do this now, my goals are:

SW 240
MG 219
Goal 204

Not easy goals, I agree, but I suspect I have a lot of water weight at the moment.

I will be Mcdougalling for the whole of 2009, I'm going to try for the mwl plan. If anybody else is going for Mcdougall, please feel free to PM me!

Weighed in this morning: 121 !!!!!!

I lost a pound I'm so thrilled, just 3 more pounds to go but my body fat % is still a little higher than I would like so maybe after the last 3 lbs I will tone up more and decrease cardio.

As far as the diet it is going very well. I'm surprised at how organized I've been in shopping and cooking ahead even if its just been a few days. I'm looking forward to some yummy veggie chili today. Right now the only thing standing between me and veganism is the honey in my Kashi Go Lean Crunch other than that I've decided to abstain from dairy and eggs as well. I've always preferred soy milk anyways and tofu scramble is just as good a source of protein as eggs in the morning minus all the cholesterol and 6 g of fat.

SW: 122
CW: 121
GW: 118

Thanks for the Welcom Jillnicole, this is an awesome thread.
