hi,

I have been on this for 3 weeks now and have lost about 7lbs ofcourse there was the week of hte flu where i lost 1 lb. Am i being absolutely idiotic or am I losing too slow.

does anyone remember how much they lost when they just started? like in a couple weeks of starting the program or so?

Dria seeing as your start weight was similar to mine and you have been so successful, what kind of loss patterns did you see through your journey?

Also, here is a recipe that my center just sent me for a big late country breakfast on the weekend

Big Country Breakfast

1tsp olive oil
1 small potato, diced
2 large eggs
1 serving ( found on package) Veggie
Canadian Bacon
2 slices toasted diet bread
2 tbsp sugar free jam ( you can use salsa instead of jam)
1 medium orange sliced
1/2tsp Flavo-Magic

Preheat oven to 400F
Heat olive in a large pan. Saute potato until golden brown.
Poach eggs or soft boil. Keep warm
Bake veggie bacon in oven until golden and crisp.
Serve poached eggs with potato, veggie bacon, toast and jam, and orange slices. Sprinkle Flavo-Magic over eggs and potato as desired.

Serves two

One serving equals 1pro, 1/2 fruit,1 starch, 1/2 fat , 1/2 free exchange

I lost 5.8 in my first week (water)
and 4.6 my second. Now Im usually anywhere from 1.2-4 lbs a week. all over.
Dont worry be fluish can make ya fever which will make ya hold some water etc. Even if ya have a huge weight loss one week the inches wont show for a week or so.....
Dont rush it. it will happen take it day by day and before ya know it 16 weeks have flown by and your fighting for your 50lbs gone magnet LMAO
No worries its working for ya just follow the plan Doll!!!

Witchie when ya look at the cost as a whole it seems like alot but when I broke it down... well then I thought I used to spend more then that on even my jr chicken meal at mcdonalds..... and Id be hungry a few short hours laters!!! These keep me full. But the full course bars or whatever keep me even fuller.
With the shakes I gotta have a cup of cukes or a fruit with it cause Ill be hungry but with the bars....... Im stuffed for hours!!!! But none the less yeah break it down and find out if its worth it for ya or not Not all our pocket books work the same lol

Thanks for the advice Dria that definitely helps. From the way you lost seems like Im a lil slow but as long as the scale is headed downwards every time I go in then that's all that should matter right?

What about everyone else? How did your losses happen? Especially in the first couple weeks

Thats right! A down is always better then an up!!! even .2 .2 is still .2 lost!!!!
And even if ya have a bad week and your up slightly when ya smartin up again your body seems to do a good job playing catch up. So dont stress!

Aditi: I don't know that it is fair to compare. I think that each individual body responds differently to the change .... and it depends how you were eating before HM. There are so many variables to consider. Don't hyperfocus on your rate of loss .... just focus on today and following the plan today and then again tomorrow and so on. You will see crazy numbers some weeks and not so much on others simply due to menstruation, illness, social events, etc... HM promises 2lb/week ... your rate is more than that. Be happy and rejoice in your success long term.

And ya know Meme Ive had several weeks that were under 2 lbs. So that being said. Even if ya dont make the 2 lbs a week. You will make up for it another week.

I love this thread.

what you guys say makes complete sense I guess I am being ridiculously impatient with my body that I fed and fed and fed over the years

In any case, this is measurement week so I have my fingers crossed, will be going in on Friday to see what this week gets me.

Smile

I'm down 2lbs from yesterday! If I keep up this pace, I'll be done in a month!! LOL

I'm sure it's water or maybe because I didn't wear a belt today (as if I really need one!). Either way, it made me smile!

I'm on the QLP 1 which is 2 proteins, 2 starches. 2 fruits, 3 veg, 1 dairy, 2 fats, 1 free exchange. But from what I've been reading it seems that I should be on the QLP 2 program which allows more food. I can't imagine having to cut down from this when I go below 200. Can anyone clarify?

Aditi - You're on track. Don't be discouraged. The scale is moving in the right direction.

Dria - I'm so envious (in a good way). I've got my fingers crossed for you. You're so close. WOW !

Wow!! Lots of posts to catch up on today

Dria: I am still only in the dreaming stage of being that close to my goal weight. I know it will happen but it is so. far. down the road. Sigh.

I am very pleased with my results so far though and am already feeling so much better so that is what counts.

My weigh in went well today. Down 1.2 since Monday.

Aditi: hot mexican chicken wraps?!? sounds delish! Care to share that recipe?

I am confused by the breakfast recipe though. Is it to serve two people?
