For interest sake for those this applies to:

Evaluate the reasons behind excess. Your food journal should also have a “feelings” category, where you can recount whether you ate something out of frustration, boredom, or if you were truly hungry. Some people snack often without reason or hit the office vending machines in times of stress, whereas a short walk and some fresh air could’ve also produced calming results.

When you were retelling all the stuff that you ate, I just kept thinking "I soooo want to do that, how can I get a pizza delivered here without anyone noticing, or maybe once everyones in bed I can sneak out and go through a drive through.etc, etc" Seriously, this is one of my last triggers, and I am trying, trying, trying, to get past it. I suppose maybe I should try to expose myself to binge eating type material to somehow overcome? I don't know, I'm sorta at a loss......
Anyway enough about me, WI's girls, how'd ya do?

WOW... witchie.... have you received help for this??? I do sense some sarcasm in your words.. if i am mistaken please tell me.. I am being totally serious because if you get upset just because Chantal listed her indulgences...there must be something that can help you with this. Because when you are done herbal magic you are going to have a battle on your hands... with food. We all will have a battle because we all have our own problem with food... on an emotional level some more than others. I am like Chantal... I eat for every emotion under the sun.... but whether I indulge those emotions is a decision only I can make at that time.

I do hope you come to some peace in your life with food Witchie I truly do.. I think help for this would be a benefit. And again this is meant to be a help not a slap in the face.. so read this with your eyes wide open and stop to think of what is said, in my words. I wish you well.

Girls we are all doing fabulous with all our emotional baggage we all have to come to terms with it in our own way one day at a time we are all wonderful and we are doing an amazing job with our weight loss efforts!!! You all deserve a hug

I need help... your help.

I want to find a new breakfast idea that doesn't have any starch.
I eat cereal at work but I would need to eat something else.
Ideas? Preferably protein & dairy

Scrambled eggs with salsa is my fave. Sometimes I add in my cheese for the day...or some veggies....or all of the above!

Geeze...I guess I didn't read your post that closely

I think that you could make it like a scramble and microwave it when you get to work. Or the protein bars I bought at the clinic are really tasty (the chocolate one makes me feel like I'm cheating and I'm not!). You could have that and a fat free yogurt and you'd be good!

Here is me being boring... In a pinch I have grabbed my 1/2 oz almonds (unsalted of course) and a fruit portion. That always does the trick. More often than not I have a hard-boiled egg on hand too so if you added that to the mix you would find yourself quite satiated. Again.... BORING but effective. 1 Fat, 1 Fruit, 1/2 Protein.

Hello everyone,

I see emotions are running high today.

Witchie, I agree with you and totally see your point. When you are focussing on not thinking about the things you can cheat with and then read through a list of gorgeous food it is extremely tempting. so I can understand the triggers.

OK that got submitted before I could finish....

That being said, I also agree with Dria. What happens to each of us in this journey is up to each one of us. Maybe we should not list out the foods we ate when we cheated maybe we need to just to get it off our chests but the main thing here is for each one of us to know that if we don't fall there is no way we will learn everything we need to about maintaing our losses. It is only because Dria tried the starch after lunch did she realize how much it was helping to finish her starches by lunch, it was becasue Chantal cheated that she realized that getting depressed about not being able to enjiy life on her birthday was not as important.

These things are important and that is why this forum is a great place becasue people like me can know all of this without having to go through the experience,

Anyway I gotta go my carpool guy is gonna die

Did I mention Im hoping really hard to hit the 50lbs goal tomorrow........ EEEEEEEEE Cross your fingers ladies Ive been super duper good!!!! lol

I also forgot I wanted to tell you ladies about the First course bar I tried the other day. They count the same as a shake. 1 Protein 1 Starch 1 Fat...
The peanut crunch..... OH MY WORD. As long as you like peanut butter.. these are to die for...
Now that being said I was concerned about how filling they would be. Let me tell you they are more filling then even the shake.
Yesterday I had a crud load of running around to do.
For breaky I had
3/4 cup of plain special k
and 1 apple.

Then for lunch all I had was the peanut crunch first course bar...... and ran my butt off ALL DAY. No sitting. I ate that bar at 11:50am. No veggies with it no fruit with it NOTHING JUST THE BAR......
I was still feeling full by the time I broke down and ate supper at 7pm. NOT KIDDING.

Default Protein for breakfast...

I hard boil a bunch of eggs, peel them and keep them in a container ready to go. That on the go with a piece of fruit serves me well. The first course meal replacement bars are a hit with me... that is how I got through my daughters soccer tournament this weekend was with the bars. Everyone else was munching on Tim hortons bagels and muffins... and again girls here lies the choices.... I had my HM bar with my coffee.. and I gave myself a pat on the back. YAH me!!

Ok I can't remember who came up with the heavenly iced capp substitute... I tried one today since I woke up from nights and I had a days worth of food to eat. I chocolate HM protein shake, 14 oz of cold water, 1 cup of ice cubes, 2 1/2 tsp of instant coffee (I like the coffee flavor) and 1 pack of sweetner..... OH MY HEAVEN ON EARTH for those who like Timmies iced capps... filling and it makes alot and the best part you can drink the whole thing!!!! Thank you so much for that wonderful substitute you deserve a gold star for that one!!!

I hope all is well... talk later great job everyone!!!!

Default Question for you Dria..

Are you down to only 2 proteins a day??? My center warned me that in another few pounds they will take a protein away and I will be on the QLP 1. What kind of adjustments will I be expecting??? Mood wise, preparing etc.

Thanks
