Just checking in from my trip to Houston with dd. Sounds like many of you are doing well weight wise. Congrats!
Not sure how my weight is but hopefully I'm doing okay here. I'm trying to help dd with her quest to lose weight. We are calling it biggest loser Michele style! We are going to the gym and eating well. I'm trying to show her how she can live here and still have a healthy lifestyle. Tomorrow we are going back to probably sign an apartment lease. My little girl is all grown up!
Michele , sounds like you are having a successful trip. Your comment of helping your daughter with her quest to lose weight reminds me of one of my favorite proverbs,
"If I help my brother to cross the river, I, too, shall reach the other side."

This proverb will now guide my attitude toward DH and his attempts to diet and exercise. Thanks bargoo!
I wore a tank top in spin class, rather than a shirt, because of the high level of humidity, and someone commented on my "traps." That is apparently the spot where the back of the neck joins the shoulder. Mine are "defined." This is from lifting, not from spin. I suspect that this will be the Summer of the Tank Top, in which, finally, I have no fears at all of showing the whole length of my bare arms.
My weight is down a little, after a hot, humid, highly hydrated & abstemious weekend. Megan is most definitely right: Summer heat is an appetite suppressant, and frigid airconditioning makes me hungry or, if I'm not hungry, still overly interested in unnecessary foodstuffs.
Michele, glad you're helping your daughter settle in. Was thinking of you all while reading the sad news stories of the Houston firefighters.
Ack! Just a brief check in to say hi and I'm still alive. Had people in town all weekend and our summer class session started yesterday, so I've been super busy.
I'm thinking over Freelancemamma's "Bad Habits" thread. I have some I want to break, as I've mentioned before. I'm processing that right now.
Also, here is something from another thread I just read, posted by Kaplods:
"Sugar calms my inner demons (temporarily), but I must always remember that it's also probably sugar that PUT them there, because they fade away to almost nothing when I don't have sugar stirring them into a frenzy."
Can I get an amen?
Sorry this is so slapdash - I'll try to check in later tonight.
How about "Maintaining Weight Loss Mode Through Summer" as a title for the next installment?
Watermelon is a natural diuretic, and boy did it have that effect on me last night: I actually saw 124 this morning on the scale. Considering that I used to cringe when I saw that number just a few short months ago, I can't believe how pleased I was (or that this morning is very likely an artificial low - still).
Bargoo, I've never heard that saying, but how lovely. I have already memorized it.
And Saef, congrats on reaching a state of not just peace but PRIDE in your arms. I know from personal experience how gratifying that is. When I was heavier, one of my most embarrassing body parts was my upper arms and I used to complain up a storm about the lack of dresses with sleeves. The wearing of tank tops (and sleeveless dresses) is something that naturally slim women take for granted, but I never will.
To me, "staying slim" = maintenance, but this thread is for those of us who are trying to lose weight regained despite maintenance. How about "Maintainers Getting Slim through Summer?"
124(.2) for the second day in a row. Hopefully, a real loss then.

Andrea, I like your title. I think we should always have Maintainers or Maintenance in the title, and we have always included the season.
What does everyone else think ? There are a couple more suggestions above.
