Yep this is the one I have. (note you can get it cheaper then ordering direct!) Thus far I'm not sure if it really does anything I couldn't track myself other then monitoring my heart rate the whole time BUT I don't track my stuff very well when left to my own devices. I find it very motivating to plug it into the software and see right away that woo! I ran a bit quicker today or I went a bit further.

I completed the second day of C25K and so far my knees seem okay. I tried to do the program last year and my knee made like a balloon and my doctor said "no way". I was 50 lbs heavier back then so I'm hoping I can actually do it now. It's worth a try anyway Added another 2.5 miles

Cyndi: I don't know about your case, but i know making sure to keep a day in between of jogging REALLy helps. There was a phase in the program where I thought I could run everyday.. and it was a BAD idea. KNEE pain up the wazoo.. Try to keep a day in between.. and nice hot baths for your knees on the days you do jog good luck!

Thanks for the bath tip I had knee surgery in 2002 and have some issues so the most I'll probably be able to do is indoor running not road running. I'd just like to add it to the winter menu.

Did my long run today, + 8.35 miles.

I need to replace my shoes before my next long run. I've got 4 more long runs before my next half marathon on Feb 8.

I mentioned to hubby last night that I was lusting after a Garmin Forerunner 305, but couldn't quite justify the cost. I have a Polar HRM, but I'd really like one with a GPS and all the fancy bells and whistles.

Well, he reminded me that the place he works for (auto parts) is an authorised Garmin dealer. So he thinks he can get me a 305 at staff price (read: cost + 5%). He's going to look into it today, but he said the catalogue has all the products, but they only ever order the in-car GPS systems.

Woohoo! I'm going all high-tech and stuff! That'll be fun.

Oh, and another 5.6 km under my belt yesterday. Got up too late to go for an early run today, but when it cools down this afternoon I'll do another one. Just wish I could find somewhere without having to drive where there aren't any hills! I'm so over hills, you have no idea. The area I live in is called the Hills District, so I guess I'm all out of luck, aren't I?
