I'm showing my first 5kg (11 pound) loss today!! I have a lot more to lose, but this was my first little battle, and I'm so excited to be over it. Good luck with the rest of the week everyone!

I can't seem to kick this cold. The worst of it is over but the mucusy feeling and the cough have lingered for days. It's going on a week and a half now.

I held strong for most of it but the past few days my diet has suffered. I'm up 2 pounds from my last weigh in. I get the house to myself this week so hopefully the cold goes away and I can have a good week diet wise. I'm just ready to be done with this cold and back on track.

Today was a step in the right direction. I dragged myself out running for the first time since I got sick. I also went out for a cup of coffee with a note pad and organized my thoughts and goals for the rest of the year (weight loss and otherwise). 12 weeks Until 2012 and I hope to be in a better place when it gets here. All good things!!!

Congrats on the milestone, Cheece

I was on track for a big loss this week until TOM showed up...now I just feel lucky to have gotten to claim any loss at all! But I saw 149 over the weekend...can't wait to get to put that number in as my weight!

It's that TOM again. Nothing to expect from it except water retention leading to water weight. Ugh! I feel so disgusted.

Hey scarlett, don't fret! You're making great time. Inwould kill to be in the 180s at thus point in the challenge. I'm hoping to be 189 tomorrow. What are you eating? There's no way that can be a real solid 2lbs.

Thanks PrimeTime

I'm actually ok with my progress so far. I lost 5% and am on pace to lose 10% by the end. That would be a great result.

I'm just frustrated with being sick. It's thrown off my sleeping and made it difficult to focus on things I want to do. Luckily it's getting better and I'm getting back on track.

Tomorrow will be bad but I'll get back on track and have a great week following.

Yay, broke through the 170s! (At least for today.) This is the first time I've been able to read in the 60s since I was... twelve or some other extremely preteen number.

My weigh-in is usually Wednesdays, but I was having internetz trouble, and my scale is inaccurate, as I have mentioned before, so its readings change according to how much weight it has already weighed. My weight tests ended up gaining numbers to my 169, so I just stuck with the initial weight. Might as well make the unfortunate scale work for me. Nine pounds to mini-goal of 160, ten pounds from initial challenge weigh-in! w00t.

@Scarlett, Great job bouncing back from your cold! As I've already ranted about (see above), scales are not always accurate of your weight. Could be water retention, could be muscle... I find that a little self-aware scale-denial is beneficial as long as you're maintaining healthy habits. My weight has also registered as strange lately. I was 170.8 yesterday, and 169 today. :P Not even a week. Just a day.

@Cheece, Yay! Nice job! In five more pounds, it will be ten. Then fifteen, then twenty, then twenty-five. Keep going.

I was down a pound from last weighin yesterday (201.6), but I got on the scale this morning. 200.4

So I was going to put that... but I decided to weigh again... because I usually weigh three times with the scale on three different places in the bathroom and then choose the smallest... And I was 199.4!!! So yeah. Woot woot! So I put that. Of course.

Good job everyone!

177.6 today which is down 1.2 from last week. I was out on saturday night and had a beautiful 3 course meal plus a few drinks and then was sick from Sunday (i still am sick) so to lose 1.2 is just absolutely amazing and im happy!!!!!!

Well done everyone with losses or maintaining and to anyone who may have gained a little - you know life throws us little ups and downs - we can all do this if we set our hearts to it - stay strong and keep going everyone!

Hey Girls,

At TOM right now, 3 days in (sorry if TMI!) so my weigh in of .7 higher isn't all that surprising . I drank a ton of water last night to try to bring down the bloat as much as possible for the weigh in, but man TOM kills me! Hopefully next week will be really great! Good luck this coming week girls!

So I'm still maintaining, rather than losing, but actually made it to the gym for bodypump once this week! Wasn't as horrific as I'd dreaded and boy did I feel the burn afterwards. I'm aiming for 4 gym visits next week, going to try and get back in the good habits. I'm not working insane hours any more so really want to see if I can lose some weight for the remainder of this challenge. If I can break that barrier into the 130s in the next few weeks I'll still see it as an achievement, as I'm just sick of maintaining right now!
