First Weigh-in

Today was my first weigh-in and I lost 6lbs this week!!  I don’t expect a number like that every week, I realize it’s because I made such a huge change in my eating and drinking habits, but it sure is fun to see.  :)

I started counting my calories yesterday and I think this will be a good thing.  I noticed that just thinking about eating better portion sizes actually made me NOT eat enough.  I was cutting back a little too much, I guess. I ate just under 2500 cals and drank tons of water too, which is my goal this week, to drink my 8 glasses a day.  (I’m already on my 3rd glass today!)

Yesterday was a very busy day.  I went to work, Monday is my easier day as I only have Baby Kay all day, The Bean goes to school and Miss Moo attends a daycare once a week.  However, I also started my math class.  I had to review some material (while Baby Kay slept) then take the prereq Quiz.  I got 100% and said, ‘WooHoo!’ out loud to myself.  Then, during Baby Kay’s second nap, I started reading chapter 1.  I needed to pick The Bean up from school, which made me leave for home a little later than normal.  After picking up Heather we headed to the gym to meet with one of the trainers.  He wanted to walk us through some things since we just joined the gym.  We sat and talked to him about our goals and challenges and then went for a 30 minute workout.  I was sweating like crazy!  After the workout, he pulled us over to the table again to talk about prices for personal training.  I’ve got NO money, but it sure would be nice to have a personal trainer.  Luckily he also teaches a free Bootcamp class on Saturday mornings.  I’d like to try and go a few times!  Anyway, almost 2 HOURS later, we finally left the gym, grabbed some subway for dinner (it was almost 7pm) and I got home in time to review a little bit more and then take my weekly pre-test before sitting on the couch for 10 minutes to watch the end of a show and then headed to bed.  Wheewwww…  WHAT. A. DAY.

On to Tuesday, counting my cals, drinking my water and playing with the girls.  :)

You lost a lot of weight! I cannot lose more that two pounds a week! Keep working on your goals!
