We ended up not grilling out (everyone is always busy!). BUT we have done quite a bit of dune buggy riding. Bob even taught Tim how to drive it in the driveway yesterday! Tim was so excited! He did great considering it is a stick shift!

My nephew plans to be on the H.S. golf team this fall. He has never played golf except for putt-putt. Could be interesting.

Tim plans to run cross country again. He has been running. A friend is here from Tennessee for 6 weeks. Dane is staying at his grandmother's house. He arrived Saturday. So far, they have been swimming, biking, and running. Dane runs cross country and track in Tenn. He's going to work with Tim while he's here. He's 2 years older .

I'm getting back on the track with exercising finally. I have done at least something each day since last Thursday. Even if it's only for 15 minutes each day, that is better than my 0 minutes that I had been doing.

Food was good today. Still not disciplined enough to write everything down like I know I should.

Tina, all the flooding is awfully scary. Glad things are looking better (at least that's what I heard on the radio)

Toodles all!

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have had a good day.

Tammy, 15 minutes a day is good. You have to start off slowly or you'll burn out. The dune buggy sounds like fun. I've never been on one but love our riding lawn mower. I know it's not the same.

Laura, E-Tools is great! It tracks all of your food, points & exercise. You also chart your weight. the cool thing is that it figures out your points if you don't know them. It does alot of the leg work. I really like it alot!

Tina, how is the clean up going?

Food was hard for me today. All I wanted to do was eat.

Morning,
Would you believe that I slept in until 9 a.m. I got up once and fed the cat. I'm exhausted from work.
I finally finished a big project. It was so quiet and hum-drum before he was hired. I'm really glad he's here, though.

Tammy, sounds like you will have a busy summer. I can't wait to go back to our friends who have 2 4-wheelers.

Susan, are you nervous about Friday's procedure? I hope it's quick and smooth.

Kimmy-jo, are you on vacation?
Dee, what summer plans do you have?
Linda---Laura---are y'all swamped at work?

How ie everyone else???????

We started cleaning out our garage yesterday. It's starting to smell yucky. This is not a pretty job.

Tammy, MAJOR kudos on the exercise. That's my biggest bugaboo -- I just find every excuse not to do anything. At least in the summer I'm forced to mow the lawn once a week (there's 30 minutes!) and I'm trying to golf 1-2 times a week, but it's not at all regular. What kind of exercise do you do?

How about everyone else? What gets you moving? I need ideas

Laura~

Sleeping in this morning was in my plans, but Kramer had me up at 5:15. It was thundering in some foreign country and he heard it. Silly dog was crying. Good ol' Tam gets up, lets him out of his cage, and he curled up with me in the recliner. Silly dog. Silly Tam!

My exercise for the most part has been walking. I have also being doing some arm exercises with weights, 3 pound ones to start. Hoping to get back to the 5 pound weights.

Mowing is a big thing here too. I try to do the push mower every time. Sometimes it's just too hot and I'm too lazy so I jump on one of the riding mowers.

Tina, I don't envy your clean up. What a mess. I know what it was like helping others here in town after the tornado about 10 years ago.

I went to the WW site. Is the only way you can use e-tools if you are currently a member of WW?
I guess I need to check out some other sites, or just kick myself in the butt and start writing things down.

Need to leave for now. Tim will be home from basketball camp any time. I'm sure that he'll be starved! I try to keep him happy, then he doesn't grumble so much when I tell him that he has chores to do. LOL

Nothing new here!

Tammy, you have to subscribe to E-Tools. It is $12.95 a month. It's a bummer since we already pay for weekly meetings but I really like it.

Laura, I ride the stationary bike. Especially since I was told to do it everyday by the doctor.

Tina, I'm not nervous about Friday (I've had this done twice before) I'm just ready for it to be over and have my knee stop hurting. Do you need anything for your clean? If so let me know.

Off to watch soaps and to ride the bike.

Me again!

I've been thinking about getting e-tools but don't want to spend that extra money.

About my clean-up----I'm not sure what I need. Any ideas?????
Larry (husband) and I are both taking this Friday off so we can get it done quickly. It really smells musty in there now.
Any suggestions of what to use to clean the garage floor? I guess we could use liquid Spic N Span. I use that to clean my floors inside.

Tina,

Make sure that you use some bleach on the floors so it cuts the mold. If not it will grow back and you will have to clean it again. Do you have any big fans to help dry it out?

Hi all, I haven't been very active at writing lately. I usually do this at work and my workload seems to have doubled lately with some very firm deadlines coming soon.

Tina, sorry to hear about your water situation. I was watching that on the news.

Susan, good luck on your surgery on Friday--you sound pretty comfortable with it.

AHHH Exercise!!! It is my second job . I live 3 miles from a beautiful state park that has a paved loop measuring 2.5 miles. I used to be able to walk around it in 45 min. without resting and that is my goal. (Course I'm about 25 pounds heavier than I was then). My dog is very good at encouraging Me to want to go for a walk at night. Anyway, I take him out there and we walk for 30-45 min. each night in the forest, along the river. Each night I walk a little farther in the same time.
A real plus is that sometimes my hubby comes along and we actually get time to talk without interruption.

A small request--my cousin's 8 yr old daughter (Allida) is having brain surgery today to remove some tissue that is believed to be causing her epileptic seizures. It is uncertain what other memories or activities that section really controls so the family is really nervous about this surgery. A small prayer for her would be greatly appreciated if you would.

Weighins start tomorrow. Good luck all.

Hi

Linda, I'm thinking about Alida today. I hope everything goes well. Please keep us updated.
You said that you walk with your dog in the forest and along a river. Aren't you afraid to do this? You must have a very safe area.

Susan, no, we don't have any fans. Thank you for telling me about the bleach. I will get some large jugs of it before Friday. I asked my co-hort at work if he'd work for me Fri. He owes me 8 hrs. and he said, "of course."
He is cleaning out his garage also.

Is everyone up for tomorrow??? The answer should be yes.

Hello,

Well, I have to admit, I'm getting a little nervous. Don't know why because I've done this before.

Hope everyone is doing good today. I'm off to have Mexican food at El
Chico's. Wonder if they have shrimp.

evening,

Susan, it's normal to get nervous, I think. I am anxious to know how you are afterwards.
El Chico's-yum......we don't have one of those anymore. Hope you ate lots of rice for me.

Tammy, are you out there dune buggy riding?

Linda, Laura, Kimmy-jo, Sis, Addey (where are you?), Maureen---are you out there reading?, Essie--I still remember who you are , Dee, Jill, okay, I'm sure I left off a name and I'm so sorry.

Loodie, thoughts and prayers for your niece and the rest of the family. Please let us know how things go.

We planned to drive the dune buggy to church tonight for orchestra practice, but we weren't sure if it was going to storm again. Had another nasty storm this afternoon. It was so strange. On the TV it showed the storm over this entire county, and it wasn't moving! There were flash flood warnings out because it rained so much in such a short amount of time. Not sure how much rain we had here, but a little north of here they had 3-4 inches in about an hour.

I got no exercise in today. Planned to start mowing the yard about 2;00 (after a short nap). At 1:45 it started thundering and lightning, then the sky opened up with all of the rain. So much for the mower!

Susan, I think you are perfectly normal being a little nervous about the surgery. I always do too. I get nervous about the first day of school every year, and I have been teaching 24 years!!!! One year I even had to stop the car and throw up right after I passed a school bus. Talk about dumb!

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Loodie, You and your family are in my prayers. Please let us know how your cousin daughter does. Her guardian angel will be right there with her.

Dinner was good. I ate just a few chips. I had chicken and mushroom fajitas. They were really good, didn't even eat them all either.

Tammy, I too get nervous the first day of school and sad on the last day of school. I've been teaching 14 years. Lucky you!!!!! you couldn't mow.

It looks like most of the country is having rain. Yuk!

Susan, am I supposed to mix the bleach with water before putting it on the garage floor? Today, someone told me they'd heard of putting a mixture in a spray bottle to spray on the walls. I am worried about the wood.
Tomorrow morning, we start dragging everything out - what fun. Not.
Good luck tomorrow with your surgery-you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
