The recipe sounds awesome AJsMommy! Amy, we missed you this weekend. Glad you are back and I hope you have a good wi tomorrow night. Melloyan, congratulations on your loss!! Glad you are back, we all understand how being busy is!I am so tired I almost didn't post tonight. Liz, I do not know how you could be the fat daughter-in-law. According to your weight you aren't overweight at all. You have done so well losing weight!! You should be proud of yourself. My tracking is as follows-breakfast-0 lunch-sandwich/fatfree chips=5 pts. dinner-2 lean cuisines=12 pts. snack-ww fudgepop. I rode my stationary bike 10 miles this morning and the rest of the day I chased my two year old class, and boy are they active. I think I should count that as exercise!!!! my total pts was 18 pts. today. Didn't mean to have that few, but I was not that hungry until dinner. Everybody have a good night. I am going to bed!!!!

snowgal 07-17-2006 09:16 PM

Pacemom - you did awesome today! Don't worry about not getting all of your points in today. As long as you don't make a habit of going under, it shouldn't mess you up.

Trust me, I'm only 5'1", so any weight on me really shows. My sister-in-laws are younger and skinnier. My body isn't made up that way and no matter how much I lose, I'm still gonna have some curves. At least my husband loves my curves!!

I was able to work-out today, so I'm slowly coming out of yesterday's carb-induced coma.

Amy - don't worry. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Check in when you can. Hopefully your WI will be better than you think!

Goodnight Ladies!

Hi everyone. Ok, as I stated I am here to post my food. I am going to pop on here all day. I am at home (cleaning of course). I will be so relieved when my mom's retirement party has come and gone. The pavers we used to extend our patio look great. That got finished Saturday afternoon. My mom was over here for a bit on Sat and Sun. She said, "Oh, you guys have so much work to do. I feel guilty." Well, I have shaped things up quite a bit since then. I am right on track. Today, I am hitting the kitchen for some heavy duty cleaning. One room at a time. I have already done all of the baseboards in the house and organized by kids' toys and such. Ok, enough of that.

Breakfast
lite english muffin 1pt
1Tbs rf peanut butter 2pts 3/24

Ok, as of last week, I was only 7 pounds away from going down to 22 points. I am sure I can add a pound or two to that now. But, that is a measure of success. Although the thought of losing points is very scary, I can't wait.

Will check in later. Have a great day.
By the way, we are all doing great at getting in some exercise or activity. Yay for all of us!! :cp:

Edit:

Lunch
Smart One enchiladas suiza 6pts
ff frozen yogurt 4pts
topping Grrr...a ton of points

Snack
sf pudding 1pt

dinner will be halibut salad and grean beans. Will let you know later about my sad weigh in.

pacemomof4 07-18-2006 11:07 PM

I have to make this quick, I used 20 pts today I rode my stationary bike 10 miles and worked. Hope everyone else did great today. Amy I got my fingers crossed for you!!! Good luck.

buffalosister1 07-18-2006 11:34 PM

Hi everyone. Paula, thanks so much for crossing your fingers for me. I am happy to say that I only gained 1 pound. Too bad I did not meet my goal of six straight weeks of loss. Ok, no biggie. I will lose this week. I really want to try the Wendie plan. I mad a great dessert tonight. Got the recipe from my meeting last week. I will post it later. Dinner was great! Only about 7 points too.

6oz grilled halibut 5
salad w/dressing 2
steamed green beans 0

Will stay on points tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re: miss calculating daily points

Hello everyone just thought id let you know that i was jooping myself of daily points yep thats right i miss calculated my points on that quizz you take in your first book. instead of having 24 daily points i am now having 26 daily points. Tuesday's points total was aok i was only over by 0.5 point so that is cool. Also can anyone tell me the bonus point of doing 25 minutes on the exersice bike (i weigh 129.9kilograms) and i do it at easy pace.

Another question is that my son's 3rd birthday party is coming up soon and there are a few of my friends that are doing the weight watchers points plan. I am stuck for ideas for snacks for those guys. The kids i am putting out the usual party pies/sausage rolls, chips, dip, lollies, cherios ect...Aaaarrrgghh temptation galor:devil: Is there anyone out there that can give me some healthy alternatives for us weight watchers?

Well thats is all for now until i come back on tonight to jot down my daily points. Thanks kindly sherrin

Hello everyone:

Well yesterday was a tough day. I started out fine -

B - Lite Eng. Muffin 1 pt
1 Egg 2 pt

S Luna Bar 3pt
1/2 C Milk 1 pt 7pts so far.

Then I went to my sister's pool because it was 100 deg. here yesterday. So around 3:00 she went in to make some lunch. I brought my lunch and had counted the points for it, but I ended up ditching it for the pb sandwich on white bread that I was craving. Plus had some chips, only a couple and also had about 4 cookies. So I'm not sure how many points I had at the lunch. I'll figure about 12. I came home and had a small piece of leftover pizza and a few cinnachips (1 pt) there. So I guess I ate into some of the 35 allowable points they give you. I did exercise yesterday on the treadmill for 40 min. and got my 2 ex. pts. I also walked in the pool yesterday for about 1/2 hour. I don't know how many points I expended doing that, but my muscles in my stomach and lower back are aching today.

Today my goal is to stay right in my points range.

Sherrin, I alway have light chips or light tortilla chips with fresh salsa to munch on at parties. Plus I always make a vegie tray and a fruit salad. I put watermellon, blueberries and strawberries together. The sweetness of the watermellon makes the fruit salad taste great. You can alway top it off with some Cool Whip (for each individual serving). Good luck, I have one of those parties coming up in August.

Hello girls!
I had WI today and lost 2 1/2, which puts me right back where I was about 4weeks ago with all my ups and downs...It's weird though, this week I feel smaller...don't know what it is. I think maybe my self confidence is building~ *shrugs*
I'll post my day later, as I've only had breakfast so far.

Enjoy the day

snowgal 07-19-2006 02:40 PM

Hi all!

Had my weigh-in this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Even after my carb-fest on Sunday, I'm down 1.4 lbs! I'm officially in the 120's now! YIPPEE!! I also got my sixteen week charm (didn't even know there was one). Three more weeks until I have my lifetime membership!

I hope you all have a great day! I might celebrate with some pizza tonight. Don't know for sure yet.

pacemomof4 07-19-2006 06:32 PM

Good for you Liz! You are doing great!!! Yeah Amy!!! 1 lb gain, thats not bad at all. See it was probably better than you thought it would be. Today, I had Breakfast-1 pk. whole grain banana muffins/orange=3 pts. lunch-smartone/orange/sugarfree pudding=7 pts. dinner-2 grilled chicken sandwiches/fat free chips/ww fudgepop=10 pts. 20 pts for the day. I will probably use 3 or 4 more points for a snack later. I rode my stationary bike 10 miles. Everyone have a great night. See ya tomorrow.

pacemomof4 07-19-2006 06:50 PM

Sherrin, I am not sure how many activity point you could earn riding your stationary bike at an easy pace for 25 minutes either. According to my activity tracker it looks like 2 points. For light the slider says just barely 2 points, for moderate it is toward the end of the 2 point mark. So I don't know, maybe it helped, I hope so. Try the ww recipe thread for ideas for recipes. Good luck on your son's 3rd birthday, maybe you will find some great recipes. Take care.

buffalosister1 07-19-2006 08:12 PM

Hi guys!!

Liz, Congratulations!!! You are doing so well!! I can't believe you are in the 120's. How awesome!!! Is your daughter having a good summer??? My daughter starts 1st grade on Monday already. We are on modified year-round school. I like the breaks through out the year, but summer is way too short!

Melloyan, don't fret over your lunch. I attribute being able to stay with this healthy lifestyle to having some fun every now and then. You didn't too bad anyway!

Sherrin, it is a happy day when you find you get more points than you thought. As for the party, I too do veggies with salsa. I like homemade salsa. I am going to post a yummy dessert here as soon as I can. Maybe you can use it. It is a cold sweet salad.

Jennifer, you are getting closer to that striped VS bag aren't you? I know you will get there soon. Keep at it.

Paula, you are just steady and consistent. That has been inspiring to me. Is that your puppy on your avatar?? SO CUTE!!!!

I have been quick on this site lately. I am too busy getting ready for the party (yes, still). So, I have wanted to address everyone about entries here, but have not taken the time. I just wanted to let you all know that I am glad you are here. I need this thread. It really helps me.

So, to make a long story longer....my day has been GREAT!! I have made it a point to stay on track today big time. I am trying the Wendie plan. Should work well. My super high point day will be Saturday. Just so happens to be the date of the party at my house. I will indulge then. I have worked my rear off too hard not to.

Breakfast
1 cup captain crunch cereal (but I counted it) 3pts

lunch
1ff hot dog 1
bun (lite) 1
1oz kettle bakes 2

snack
McDonalds ice cream cone 3

I have 14 points left for dinner. My family is going for Teppanyaki with my mom, dad, and nephew. He is all into Japanese everything. He is from a very small town up north, and I thought he might enjoy this. My parents and our kids have never been either. I should be ok on points.

I went to the gym and my cool little heart rate watch said I burned 500 calories. That would be the equivalent of 10 points or there about. The Wendie plan suggest you not use your activity points. I will try not to. I have been a bit light headed though. Will need to keep track of that.

Will close for now. I think I have rambled on enough. Have a good night! --Amy

AJsMommy 07-19-2006 09:41 PM

Let me know how you do on the wendie plan, I've read up about it numerous times but just never got past that. How did you determine the pts you'd use each day, I know it ranges w/one day being quite high...Definitely keep us posted!!
