I'm just not doing things right today!
We went to an open air market today, which I love, and everyone had funnel cake and hot dogs and popcorn - everyone but me. I wouldn't let myself have anything because I didn't want to mess up the diet and all I've accomplished so far. Anyway, I had a miserable time (doing something I love - how stupid is that?) because all I could think of was the wonderful smelling food that I couldn't eat. Fast forward to now.....I've finished my dinner (Mahi Mahi, steamed brocolli and salad) and I have *SIX* points left. <sigh> I guess I could have had a couple of bites of funnel cake at the market. I need to work more on figuring things out in-the-moment. I've gotten all of my fruits/veggies in, one milk, no oil, and only 3, 8oz glasses of water so far. I should have 6, 8oz glasses of water in by the time I go to bed. I think I'll have a 3pt Smart Ones Chocolate Eclair and 2 salmon oil tablets. That will get my oils in and leave me with only 1 point unused. I did so much beter when I had 22 points to work with. This whole 20 point deal it messing with my mind! ****In case I can't make it online tomorrow - HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you Mom's out there!!!**** |
Going to be quick here. Very tired. Had a crazy day with food and every thing else.
B oatmeal 3pts tee ball game L Lean Cuisine Panini (not as good as everyone said) 6pts S some chips and veggies in light sour cream ranch dip :( two strawberry daquris (can't spell so I should not even drink). small piece of homemade birthday cake and about 2Tbs icecream D some baked fries 5pts 1/3 of a nasty 85% lean burger on a regular bun. ????????? Tomorrow should be interesting. Breakfast at mom and dad's with both sisters and each of thier families. They are having homemade biscuits and gravy (the best ever), scrambled eggs (they wouldn't do eegbeaters), blueberry muffins, and hash browns. I plan on equivilent of one egg, some hash browns, and 1/2 biscuit with a TBS of gravy. Have a great mother's day!!!!! ---Amy |
One of my cousins is graduating from college tomorrow and the whole family is going to her graduation. There will be a reception (with food) and then a dinner at her step-sister's house. The stepsister is on her 3rd much older and very rich husband. I have no idea what to expect, except that she did write a cookbook with my aunt a few years back on heart healthy cooking, so I am hoping she is still following her own guidlines. I have to leave my kids at home - since it is not going to be a kid friendly house. My DH is kinda bummed I won't be home (or even in town) for mothers day, but I told him that I will get MD for the rest of my life. My cousin that is graduating is 39 and didn't make it through school the first time around. It is a really big accomplishment for her and she is graduating with honors. Cum Laude or Summa maybe. It is important for us to all be there for her. I am going to be spending most of the day (when we aren't eating) in a car with my mom, grandma, and my dad -- so we will at least get some good MDay time out of it.

Morrigan, it sounds like you're going to have a lot of fun!
My day started out with a homemade 2pt scone and two (1pt each) chocolate covered strawberries delivered to me in bed with a wonderful cup of tea and some very pretty tulips! Then My husband surprised me with the "On-Star" service for my car. When we bought my SUV last year we were given a year of the service for free and it was up to be renewed last month. I didn't renew it because we are really trying to pay off bills and it was an expense I thought was unnecessary, even though I really wished we could keep it. I'm so happy to have that! My daughter got me a candle warmer and a few Yankee candles, a notepad, a teddy bear angel magnet, and a plant. So sweet! I got to pick what we did today! In the past we would have my parents over for a Mother's Day brunch and then go out to dinner. It seems the whole day used to revolve around food! Ack! I decided to change that this year and I requested that we go for a hike up to Thunderbird falls. It's only a half mile or so hike and not too rugged for my daughter to start on. I thought it would be easy, but it was a little harder for me than I had planned on. I'm so out of shape! I thought with all of my Curves workouts that it would be easier than that! LOL! We had a great time, though! The weather was beautiful! There were a lot of people there, so I guess I wasn't the only one with the idea. My daughter wants to go back and do it again, so we are planning on going back in a week or two and hiking the lower trail. My husband cooked me a wonderful dinner - 4oz filet minon, salad, 1/2 a yam and 2 scallops. Fresh pineapple (arrived from Harry & David yesterday) for dessert. Yum! I didn't do well getting in my milk and oil points today, but considering how many points I must have consumed on past Mother's Days, I'm just glad I was able to enjoy the day and only eat 20pts! I hope all of you wonderful Moms had a great day!! |
Started off with the best mothers day. DH never remembers presents so I told him if he wanted to do something good he had to have the boat ready (not used since 00) by 9 am. Only bad part of the day, I threw out my back (upper) flipping it over yesterday, only to find hornets everywhere. So DH sprayed them to day and got it ready to go. It is a 12-14' aluminum fishing boat. By 10 am I had caught a 3 lb bass. Now that was a great mothers day. But the boat flipping had started to catch up. I am currently in horrible, can barely move pain.
Breakfast: oatbran cereal with berries (3), bites of anna's cereal (1), Lunch: Soup (2), crackers (1) Dinner: salad (2), meat (1), asparagus (1), wine (8) Snack: acb (2), soup (4) 25 point day The graduation was nice, but the ibuprofin wore off on the drive home and I am paying for it now. I am typing in food, and then crawling off too bed. Oh - one last good day thing. DH said that turning 36 (next week) would be his best birthday ever, because it would be the official mark of having spent 1/2 our lives together. |
Good morning! Sounds like you two had great mother's Days. Other than your back Morrigan. Hope you feel better soon. Mine was I think the best mom's day I have had. It actually felt like my day. Previous mothers days were all focused around my mom and we were on a tight schedule. This year we all slept in a bit. I woke up first and enjoyed some coffee in peace. We let the kids sleep in. They were pooped from the birthday party on Saturday that included water guns and lots of activity in the back yard. Went to mom's for breakfast. I stuck to my plan for food. I had one small second helping of the potatoes with another TBS of the gravy. After I ate it, my brother in law stated that they cooked the potatoes in quite a bit of oil. Oh well. I tried. We went swimming at my mom and dad's and I pulled a few weeds from around thier pool area. Then we packed up and came home. I finished cleaning from the birthday party and hubby cleaned up the toys out back. I showered and then the kids and I had a snack (we skipped lunch). I had wasa and one wedge laughing cow light. Then, it was off to the mall. We shopped for 2.5 hours. Got the kids stocked up for summer. Got some great deals at Children's place. I also spent my gift card on some shorts at Eddie Bauer. I actually got on two pair of size 14 shorts. They were tight, and I need them now so I got 16. Wish I could have waited and bought the 14s. Alos bought some new undies, a cami to sleep in, and a size 14 top from the cutest store called Janeville. It is an eyelet halter top that is a bit tight. I hope to wear it in about two weeks. Then, we went to PF Changs for dinner. Had not been there for about 4 years. It was great. We had Ah-Hi Tuna for an appetizer (raw and excellent). We shared a dish and got brown rice. I also had a glass of white wine. It was such a nice time. Stopped at Starbucks on the way home and had a light frappuccino. I was so full feeling when we got home. I used to feel that way after every meal. So, I hopped on my bike and did a 3.5 mile bike ride while my husband bathed the kids. Finished off the night watching Grey's Anatamoy (sp?).
This morning I have had my oatmeal 3pts and am off to the gym for 30 min. cardio and 30min with trainer. Should be interesting. Only went two days last week. I got on the scale this am and it reads lowest so far (185). I hope so. I am supposed to selebrate my 10% at my meeting tomorrow because I was not in my usual class last Tuesday. I decided to wait for my key chain. Better run. Fell as though I have written a novel this am. Have a great day!!!!! --Amy |
sounds as though ya'll had a great mom's day...saturday at the scrapping party everythang food wise went pretty well...i only had one person bring in sweets but i just ignored them and munched on carrots...we also put the food in a different room instead of the same room that we were scrapping in...LOL...yesterday was good also...went to my sister's for a cook-out...had a small burger no cheese or bun...just a bite of macaroni and potatoe salad and baked beans...and passed on the brownies...got weigh-in today so i eat really light throughout the day...going to curves tonite hopefully...

Billie Sammie, I too did a scrapping party this past weekend. They had pizza and brownies. So, I made a big salad to share and took my dressing and made them some fattening ranch. I had a big helping of salad and one slice of cheese pizza. Then, instead of eating the brownies, I took my 3pt cookie dough sundae and had that. It went well. Good for us!!!! :)

The graduation party I went to turned out great. 5 of the 7 women their were either on WW or lifetime members. So their was a great veggie tray, some salmon, for dinner was prime rib, roasted pototes and caesar. My family has a great caeser recipe.
1/2 cup fat free mayo juice of 1 lemon 1 clove garlic squished salt and pepper It tastes great and has nothing for calories compared to the real stuff. The dinner was really nice, made me want to be rich though. It was like walking through a town and country magazine. The house ajoined a lake and a country club, was really old (for Idaho), had a casita in the back and a huge patio with lots of rock features and iron tables. |
Today: Weigh in - I lost .4 (kinda bummed). I knew my weight loss would slow down, but I just don't want it to.
Today: Breakfast: bites of stuff (2) Snack: teddy grahams and crackers (2) Sanck: Apple (1) Snack: Strawberries (1) Lunch: spinach salad with tofu and garbanzo beans (4) Snack: more of above (2) 12 points so far today - back probably would have gotten better, but I watched my cousins kids while she had a job interview. I was at the beach with a 3 month old, 9 month old, nearly 2 year old, and 3.75 year old. My best friend was supposed to help, but was 45 minutes late. The seemed to all have to poop, scream, and run away similtaneously. It was chaos for a few minutes. I had Wil (4), go tackle Anna (2) to keep her from running away while I changed diapers and did bottles. Then Wil had to pee, and just my luck, the bathroom by the playset doesn't open until Memorial Day, so as I am trying to sprint across the beach to the potty with a 3 month old and 9 month old in my arms and dragging Anna behind me, Wil just pees in a nearby bush. It actually was easier that way - since I don't think he would have made it all the way to the potty anyway. Just about when everything calmed down, my friend showed up to help. Dinner: salad (0), fajitas (3) and beans (1) Snack: Oatmeal and blueberries (4) + bites of Anna's snack (2) 22 point day - a good start to the week |
I am not doing too well today. For lunch, my sister got me the new asian salad from McDonalds. She got it with grilled chicken, and with the dressing it was only 8pts. BUT..... I had to eat two chicken nuggets, some fries, and the rest of son's birthday cake. Glad it is gone. I figured I am out of points (for the week). :( I will just do well tonight and tomorrow. I weigh tomorrow night. I could only hope for results like yours Morrigan. I don't want to get back above my 10%. That is my only goal for weigh in tomorrow.
|
Tomorrow is my weigh-in. I'm already dreading it. I missed last week's meeting and weigh-in because I was sick. I don't know what all of the cold medicine and low point days (too sick to eat much) have done to mess me up the past couple of weeks. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. I only need a few ounces lost to make my 10% goal. Hopefully I'll at least have that.
Today so far I've had: 12oz skim milk latte - 2pts 2 salmon oil tablets - 2pts fresh pineapple - 1pt Weight Watcher's recipe scone - 2pts Salad with imitation crab & FF Ranch - 3pts low carb tortilla - 0pts 1 light Laughing Cow & Spinach - 1pt I have 9 points left for dinner and snack. Can't go over my 20pts today! We plan on having Tilapia fish and salad for dinner. That'll be pretty low points. |
I'm def. back on track!!! I had a rough 4 out of 5 days, weigh in is Wed. and although I can hope for the best, I'm expecting the worst as TOM came today as well.
Here's today: B: None, slept in :) L: 7" Mr. Pita and baked chips - 8pts S: ww fudge bar, pretzels - 3pts D: Chicken/green beans/baked fries - 8pts Dessert: Slim a bear - 2pts Later: popcorn -3 pts 24/26 |

buffalosister~
Here is a link to see what Mr. Pita is all about :) I personally like Subway better, but we just got one in our town and it seems thats where everyone wants to go right now, so I follow along...haha. Their ultra lite menu has WW pts, so it's a safe meal. http://mrpita.com/ |
