Monday 5/1 - Weigh In Day. I think I will be the same or slightly under (maybe a 1 lb loss). My scale at home is so far off, it makes it hard to judge. It weighs me between 5-7 lbs less than my real weight.
Breakfast: Coffee with creamer (1) Later: Latte (3) Lunch: lowpoint veggie soup (3), chicken (3) Later: wine (3) Dinner: Chicken (5), Soup (2), Crackers(1), croutons (1), dressing (1) Later: Strawberries (1) 24 point day It always feels like I ate NOTHING when I have a point day that is right at my minimum. It is really hard for me to do. |

Breakfast oatmeal 3pts I did not go to the gym this morning. I did the introductory tape of tae bo for the first time. It is fun, but I have no coordination so that makes it difficult for me. The intro tape is not fast paced at all. Just teaching you the moves. I only got about 15 minutes of really doing anything. I think I am going to go mow the back yard now. DH was coming home early today to do it. I can do it and get a bit of a work out with it I think. Have a great day! --Amy |

Today is going to be hard for me. My daughter is home sick and that always means comfort food. Ack! Hopefully I won't get it, too. I got up early and went to Curves and got picked up a few groceries for the week (salad stuff, etc.) All before my husband had to go to work. It was SO NOT FUN working out without any coffee or oatmeal in my tummy. Tomorrow is my weigh-in and if Lily is still sick, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get to the meeting. Hopefully I'll be able to figure something out. Anyway, today so far I've had: Vitamins Salmon oil tablets - 2pts skim milk latte - 2pts I'll have some Kashi oatmeal in a minute (2pts) I really hope I will be able to keep today a low point day! Send me strength! |
Here is my plan for the day
I got home after WW weigh in (LOST 3 LBS), and put on 2 artichokes and zero point soup, this way I can snack all day and still be good. BTY - I made the soup with PURPLE CABBAGE and it is really pretty. I also always but beans in my zero point soup, actually making it 1 point soup, but at least it feels like I am eating something. |
Yay Morrigan!!!! What a GREAT weigh-in! If I can do the same as you tomorrow, I'll have lost my 10%!!! Cross your fingers for me.

Not good for her, but good for me. That means I am closer to getting that Macy's gift card than I am to buying her one. :)
Picked my daughter up from school at 11am (1/2 day kindy). Went to buy water shoes and my least favorite store (Walmart). The kids both said they were hungry. We made a pit stop at Chilis. I got the guiltless grilled salmon. It was ok. Should have been 9pts, but I only ate half of the beans and half of the salmon. I don't like to have such a high point lunch. I did however finish off my daughter's french fries. So, I am going to fo ahead and count the 9 points. I am making stuffed peppers for dinner. Figured I could assemble them and put them in the crockpot for after dance. I think they are 6pts each. I should be in good shape. Liz, I hope your daughter is feeling better tomorrow. Is it not the saddest thing when the kids are sick? Just makes you wish that you had some of Morrigan's "cookie magic" :) Anyhow, I will check back again tonight. --Amy |

Here's what I've had so far today:
Salmon oil tablets - 2pts Skim milk latte - 2pts Kashi Oatmeal - 2pts Whole wheal pita - 1pt Tyson grilled chicken pieces - 2pts lettuce and tomato - 0pts 1 tblsp FF Ranch dressing - 0.5pt 1/2 banana - 1pt So that's 11.5 points so far. Not bad. I plan on having Tilapia fish and salad for dinner. That will be 5pts., so I still have a few points left for a snack later. Tomorrow is my weigh-in, so I still need to be careful. Here's a scary thought - if I lose 3 lbs and meet my 10% I'll be down to only 20pts per day! ACK!! Heck, if I even lose 1 lb I'll be down to 20pts. Hmmmmm.....Be careful what you wish for! ROFL! 20pts per day - I can't imagine!!!!!! |
Oh my gosh Liz! Talk about bitter sweet. I am mortified of the day I go down to 22 points instead of 24. You go girl!!!! Just think of how healthy you will be.
I did not finish off the day too well. I went to Golden Spoon yogurt. Not too bad. Except..........I got carob sprinkles (anyone know pts for them?) AND almonds. Must be evil TOM :devil: It is right around the bend. Anyhow...my peppers turned out great. I ate the left over rice that did not go into the peppers. :^: Whoops! I think maybe 3pts. 5pts for the yogurt or maybe 6. Then, when I got home I had a 100 cal oreo pack, a 1pt pudding with a dallop of free cool whip. UGH. Over for sure. I will need to go back and add it all. I weigh in tomorrow night. Will eat minimum tomorrow. Until then..----Amy |

I am resolved at doing well today, because I have planned ahead. I had oatmeal with berries (3) and a latte (3) for breakfast. For lunch I have soup (5) and an apple (1) that I brought with me. Snack: Craisins (1) and Bagel (3) Dinner: Chicken (5), bread (4), and artichoke (1) strawberries (1) 27 points for the day |
Doesn't planning ahead make all of the difference in the world? That is where I was "failing" before. I don't have much of a plan today. I am getting tired of my oatmeal and malt o meal. I may do yogurt or cottage cheese with fresh melon. I have two melons in my fridge right now. I have my WI tonight, so I am not wanting to eat. What a nut job. Like one day is going to make or brake me. Anyway, I will write more after I have eaten more than just my black coffee. Have a great day!!

Good morning everyone! Been feeling kinda down the last few days since I gained .6lbs at WI on Sunday. I haven't given up but I was a bit down. Today was a busy day for me so I wasn't able to post, however I'm very proud of myself for journaling everything I. I'm not too happy about how much I ate but I am happy I wrote it down. :D I just felt so hungry all day yesterday. I know I'm about to start so I should realize this but man I couldn't get full. I finally had a glass of 2% milk and that seemed to satisfy me enough to sleep. I've been over my points for the past two days, I've already used most of my flex points for the week and I'm only on day 3. :( Afraid I'm gonna go over and gain even more this week. I can see it coming and yet I'm not sure I can stop it. :?:
Ok...enough belly achin'....let's look at a positive....I'm journaling everything I eat....AND I got up at 5am yesterday to workout...i was going to get up this morning too but I was just so tired...but that's ok because I can workout tonight were I couldn't last night... Here's how the day is going for me pointswise: 12 oz water - 0pt 3/4 cup bran cereal - 2pts 1/8 cup raisins - 1 pt 1/2 cup 2% milk - 2pt 16 oz water - 0pt for lunch I'm planning on Subway, again....my boss takes me out sometimes and that's where we go. It's not too bad though because it's only 8pts for the whole lunch....that gives me 13 for the day and then 11 for dinner and a snack. And since I'm working out after work I'll get at least 2 activitiy points I can use if the craving hits me before bed. :) OK...i'm feeling much better now. Morrigan...congrats on the loss!! :carrot: :carrot: you give me motivation and inspration. Liz...I've been meaning to ask you this...what are salmon oil tablets? I assume you take them for your good oils but can you tell me about them? do they taste bad? any smell? I have a hard time getting my oil in unless I'm cooking with olive oil so I'm thinking I need an alternative :D Amy...ok...you're peppers sound good. Can we get the receipe? I'm tired of eating the same old stuff and have made myself a promise to try at least 1 new thing a week. This week I'm trying the corn flake oven chicken. Tonight actually. :) I've searched some different sites and magazines and books and stuff but I like to try things that other people make too. :D Well, I guess I'd better get backto work....talk to you later... |
quick question....when you weigh your chicken for a portion...do you weight it before or after it's cooked? the same for everything else....i wonder if i'm doing it right....

The good news and the bad news.....
I'm below 150 lbs now (YAY!), so I have had to drop to 20pts per day (Ugh). Had a good weigh in - 2.8 lbs down!! I needed a 3 lb loss to meet my 10%, so next week I'll definitely make it! I had my meeting this morning, so today's food intake is a little "off" for me. Pria bar (ate right after weigh in) - 2pts Curves workout - good for me! Kashi Oatmeal - 2pts 16oz of water - 0pts WW pita - 1pt Tyson chicken pieces - 2pts Salad - 0pts FF Ranch dressing - 1pt So that leaves 12 points for the rest of the day. I don't know how I'm going to work within the 20pt range. Who would have thought losing two little points would make a big difference? Ack! |
I weigh it post cooked - breast meat is pretty much 1pt per ounce
a bit more for dark meat |
