Good day for me so far. It is much easier for me when I am not home. I did the field trip thing. I had my usual breakfast
oatmeal 3 pb on 1pt bread 3 homemade cc cookie 3???? iced venti americano zip :) getting ready for snack. Having the ff chicken stroganoff for dinner should be ok on points. Will write later tonight. Ok, had my snack 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese 1.5pts 1/2 of small can pears (light) 1pt Leaves me with about 12 points for dinner. NO PROBLEMO!! I'll have 5pt chx stroganoff, and 1cup rice with a salad and grean beans. YIPEE!! Good days are feeling realy good lately. :) |
So far, so good for me today. I'm so very tired of always having to think about each and every thing I put in my mouth. Thank goodness the scale is still going down, or I just might give up.
So far today: Salmon oil tablets - 2pts (2 good oils done for the day) Kashi Oatmeal - 2pts 1 cup fruit salad - 2pts 9 Quaker Multigrain Mini's - 1pt Smart One's Chicken Santa Fe - 2pts 2 low carb, garlic & herb tortillas - 1pt Weight Watcher's little choc. cake - 1pt 11 points left for dinner and a snack. |
Oh Boy - I went on my first total diet hiatus for three days. I won't call it a binge, because I still made pretty good choices, but not good choices for someone on 24 points per day.
Friday: skipped breakfast, left early, latte (2), bites of kids muffins (2), lunch in car - ham sandwich (7), cheese and crackers (10), dinner as houseguest shrimp alfredo, no seconds (15) Total: 36 Saturday: eggs and toast for breakfast (5), latte (2), lunch at the seattle center - I got a mediterranean vegie plate with hummous and baba ganoush and also had some of the kids rice and beans (12), and had most of anna's beans (2). We had dinner - let me think.... oh - yummy bbq with all our friends from college. I had wine (6), pudding pie with fruit (6), salmon (4), and veggies with dip (6), --- 43 points Sunday: Major breakfast brunch with all our friends from college - egg souffle (6), bacon (3), cinammon roll (6), fruit (3), milk (2), oj (2), toast with butter (5), then on car ride home (6hrs), BK grilled chicken salad (4), cheeseits (6), doritos (2), cheese (3) goldfish (6), apple (1), chili (2), potato chips (5), and when I got home - tufu (8), feta (2), milk (4) --- 76 points OMG - I just totaled it up. OK - maybe I take back the good choices thing, but my DH and mom finished off 2 full sized bags of doritos and chips (of which I only had a few) and a can of bon bon's and chocolate of which I had non. If I had made bad choices it could have been a 100+ day - scary. Well that is as good as a reason as any to count points as you go each day and not to recreate them at the end of the weekend. I felt like I did bad on Friday eating, but that was nothing compared to sitting next to snack food for the entire car ride. Tomorrow is weigh in - which was probably going to be ugly anyway since it is only a few days before TOM. No one really commented on my weight loss - since I had gained 20 lbs in the last year, and lost 25 in the last 3 months, and no-one had seen me since last summer when I started gaining. well, we all get together in 3 more months for 10 days at the ocean, it will be more evident by then |
I think weigh in is going to be ugly this morning. My scale at home put me up 4 lbs. I know I didn't eat that much this week, but YIKES.

Hi there. Been away a bit so I have not posted. I went to a scrapbooking convetion all day Friday and all day Saturday. Then, DH and I went to the Nascar race on Saturday night. that was quite an experience. Never been before. Not sure I will ever go again. Can you say dirty? Anyway, I did ok with eating. Did not track. :( I do know of the bad stuff I had this weekend. So I will confess.........most of a box of redvines over Fri, Sat, and Sun. 2/3 of nachos at the scrapbooking convention. 4 fried shrimp with some fries. A very small brownie. Oh.....a Blizzard (small one though). I think that will do it for unhealthy stuff. I am still making pretty good choices, but this will keep me maintaining. That is not where I want to be.
We went to a barbeque at my 6 year old daughter's friend's house yesterday from 12-4:30. We had a blast. I did however have to save my daughter from the pool. Had not swam since last summer. She stepped off the step like she knew what she was doing. She did not. I had to go in with clothes and all. Not fun. Now I see how drownings happen. Glad she was able to say MOM. I was right there but did not see her go in. :( Today.... malt o meal 3pts heading off to the gym for 30 min cardio and 30 min personal trainer. Have a good day. Will update later. --Amy |
Just remember, you have some water retention going on. Hey, I'll be good this week if you do. :)

I have to be good - I wanted out of the 190's, not back in them

Weighed in last night. Wow, that was ugly but expected. I gained 1.6. Not too bad considering my leap off the wagon last week. I needed something to get me going. While at the meeting, mom and I realized we are both about 5 pounds off of our 10%. So, if she hits it first, I owe her a Catherines gift card for $30.00. If I hit it first, she owes me $30 to Macys. I really hope I win. I have no shorts that fit me for the summer. She still has a ton of weight to lose. She may have an advantage, so I am going to work so hard at this. I want my 10% in two weeks. That shows how badly I have done. I weigh the same I did 6 weeks ago. Have gone one up, one down etc.
I have not been getting my updates via email for the thread, so that has caused me to check less. I will be more consistent at that. I am also trying to slow my days down a bit so I can plan my food and journaling. All that being said, my friend has now lost a total of 90 pounds since the last week of June 05. She is now 5 pounds away from the high end of her goal weight. She is going to set her goal weight there to become a lifetime member sooner so that she can go to meeting for free. However, she wants to lose a bit more weight after that. She looks amazing and is an inspiration to me. Have been doing great at the gym. In fact, I go back this morning for the trainer and my arms are still killing me from Monday. I did 50 push ups for the first time. :) So.........here goes day one. Only this time, I have planned meals out for a week and am going to a farmer's market to start my fruit and veggie shopping today. This will be a good week for me. :) Today...... breakfast my good old oatmeal and balck coffee 3pts |
OMG 50 pushups! I would die. I think about calisthetics, but I don't actually do them.
Breakfast: oat bran cereal cooked in the microwave for 4 minutes on power level 4 with 1 cup of frozen blueberries stirred in to cool it down to eat. This is the yummiest breakfast! (3) + latte (2) Snack and lunch: Cliff Bar (4) and apple (1) - putting me at 10 points for the day heading into my appetizer and drinks thing at the beachhouse restaurant for my BF's 1st anniversary. just a note - last year (today) for the wedding we were at the Grand Old House on Grand Cayman attending a beautiful wedding on the beach. I was the maid of honor, we had a wonderful lunch afterward.... good times... well mostly (I did spend a large portion of the cruise crying since I cut full time breastfeeding cold turkey on my 9 month old to go on the cruise - it was a pretty rough trip hormonally since I never cry over things... but the wedding was nice) Let's see - 10 points before completely screwing up the day. Home from school and 3oz in chicken + dressing on a salad for 14 total points Then to the "drinks" -- I had 7 in wine for 21 total points. I also had 3 pieces of bread dunked in clam nectar (7) and a few bites of nachos (3), then when I got home, since all had eaten was clams and wine, I had cereal (3) and craisins (1) for a total of 35 points for the day. What I need to do is get eating/traveling in hand before summer starts. I have a week in Mazatlan, a week in Seattle, 10 days in the San Juan Islands, 2 weeks of concerts during the Festival at Sandpoint (includes a smorgusboard every night), and then a week in Long Beach, WA. It sounds fun, but it does not sound like dieting. And however it works out, it is still my life and I have to deal with it, because this is what I do every summer, and consequently why I put on 10 lbs or more every summer. |
Amy...glad to hear you're back. I'm back as well. I hate to admit it but I haven't been journaling lately. I've been aware of what I eat however I'm not keeping track. I should make that my mini goal for the week. I can't remember everything I've had hte last few days so I'll start from today. 4 days is better than no days right? I think maybe the reason I haven't been is because I don't really want to know how much I've eaten. I'm kinda embarassed by it. I tend to do really good for breakfast (if I eat) and lunch but then after work I tend to over eat. I wonder if that's not because I'm alone at night. huh...i'll have to ponder that one. Morrigan, I'm gonna take your path...I'm going to journal even when I've had high point days....No more hiding it....If I'm gonna stuff my face with bad choices then I should acknowledge it right? right.... :)
