Hello ladies! Wow its amazing how much you can miss in a week and a half. Seems like everyone is doing pretty good. The trip was nice...I gained 3 lbs, but hope that I will take that off pretty fast. Our truck got stolen out of a resturaunt parking lot on the way to the beach and we were all very stressed so I figure 3 lbs is better than 8. We did get some of our things back but still no word on the truck. Dad has started lookin at new ones. It was nice to spend time with my family but 10 days was just way too long. Living at home is getting really tiring, I go to sign my apartment lease Saturday though and will start lookin for jobs up there. I also have a date while i am there. I'm pretty excited Well I am glad that everything is going well and Good luck on the eating this week. Will check back in later. Have a great one!

Hi everyone:

Tara - Yes there are 2 rooms for dd (1 will be the computer room & she also is getting the current master bedroom of the house).
We will be having existing office which was originally a bedroom for ourselves. Which will be nice since there is a walkout to deck with hot-tub in this room. Good work on the exercising, Tara.

Deedee - Nice job on the weight loss and hope your son is doing well. Keep up the good work.

Retro - WOW, too bad about the truck & good luck on your date.
That is exciting - something nice to look forward to.

Have my w/i tonight & hope I do OK. For the most part, my week was pretty good so we'll see.

Hope everyone has a great OP day - bye for now.

DeeDee- How is your son? Better, I hope! Good luck getting ready for the wedding, I am sure it will be great! How did the cookout go?
Ailee- What kind of job are you looking for? Are you going back to school, too? Are you excited about the date? Share details!!!
Bandit2- WOW! Thats an amazing loss! Way to go!!!!!

I have WI tonight. Once again, have been way over on pts. BUT I have journalled every day, walked every day, swam, and done abs 4 days...plus my over pts days were somewhat reasonable instead of crazy over! So I will see how it goes!

Hello Everyone! My son is much better. I have not heard when his surgery will be yet.

Bandit2, way to go on that wt loss. How the heck did you do it?

SaskieMom, Last week my WW leader had us weigh in and then did not give us back our cards, nor did she tell us what we did wt wise. After everyone weighed in, she went around the table and asked everyone individually what they accomplished that week. What our successes were. Then she told us that it's not just the weight loss that is important, it's the changes that we are making. It's the progression of eating out of control, to eating healthy.
It made me think of that when you said that you went over your points, but not as "out of control" as you had before. And, that you were/are journaling. That's the progression. Way to go!!!

We did not just put on weight overnight. We don't have a problem with overeating just once in a while. Otherwise, we wouldn't be where we are today. The best part about WW, is, it's teaching me how to be "food smart". It's teaching me how to eat healthy and like a "skinny" person.
To go back a few entries, that's why I think it's important to go to meetings. For me, it gives me idea's. It helps me stay on track, it guides me to a place that I have never been before!!

I had bloodwork done today for my annual exam. Before I started WW, my cholesterol was 225. (it's suppose to be under 200) Today, my cholesterol was 181!!!! That, my friends, is due to the way I am eating now.
So, not only am I getting into a better weight for my height, I am getting healthier. I have just reduced my risk of heart disease!

Well, my WI is tomorrow. I will let you all know how I did. But, even if I gained a little, or stayed the same, my accmplishment is that I now have a great cholesterol level!
Stay OP!

Bandit2- Thanks for the skinny thoughts!!
DeeDee- That is excellent news about your cholesteral! Doesn't it feel great to be healthy? That is so much more important the number on the scale could ever be!
I totally agree with everything you have said. I am fairly happy with where my weight is at right now, even if I could stand to losee a little more. It is more important to me to learn to eat healthy permanently- and also I really want to teach my dd to learn to love healthy foods!
That said, I went to WI tonight and was down 2.4#. I guess all the exercise and tons of veggies and water were what my body needed this week!
I still find it hard to tell exactly what my body needs, because I am still nursing my dd quite a few times a day. She must be going through a growth spurt, last night she woke up and wanted to nurse continuously from 4am until 10am!!! I felt like an all night buffet!

Hi ladies:

Deedee - I think some of my loss was due to big increase week before because of too many over-indulgences on the weekend.
But I did behave myself all week, got in some walking and stayed within my point range even with going out to dinner & movies.
Also had a 2 pt snack of some kind around 3 p.m. That seemed to help me not be nibbling when making supper.
Good luck on your w/i and wtg with the cholesterol (that is such great news) and like I said to Tara "think skinny thoughts" :-)

Tara - great loss for you. Nice job on the veggies.

So far this week, I have stayed within my points. Have a bbq tonight but have planned for it.

Have a great OP day & bye for now.

Hello Everyone!
SaskieMom, great loss!!!!! It's amazing what we can do if we stick to it!!
I had WI tonight. Lost 1.4 lbs. Yay!
I am 11 lbs away from my goal!
Tonight at our meeting, our leader told us that she wants to make sure all of us are there the last week in August. Big changes coming to the WW program. I have heard a little about it on another thread. I guess WW hasn't changed anything in about 10 years and they figured it was time. Anyway, she told us that we would be getting all new stuff.
Let's not panic! Change is a good thing!
I have the rehersal dinner and the wedding this week end. Scary stuff to eat out!
Don't forget, drink, drink, drink, and, stay OP!!

Congrats, Deedee and have fun at your wedding.

I am on holidays next week (most trailer & some day trips) so probably won't be on-line too much.

Hope you all have a great day.

Where is everyone??
I took a few days off. I haven't gotten anywhere, but I haven't gone up either, so life is ok.
I got the new materials this morning, so I am going to give them an honest try!
Anyone have any good zuchini recipes? My Grandpa's wife gave me a bunch, and I need to do something fun with them!

Here I am!!! I took a couple of days off too SaskieMom. I have been really busy at work. I have 2 new people that I am training. It takes a lot out of me!
I had WI tonight. Lost 1 lb. I can handle that! I am down to 135 lbs.!!! I have 10 more to reach my goal.
I have a great recipe for zucchini. I cut the zucchini in 1/2 inch slices, then cut them in half. I cut yellow/summer squash the same way. I saute them in chicken broth intil just tender. Then I pour in "Healthy Choice" spaghetti sauce. (enough to coat, then a little more) I cut fresh mushrooms in half and add them, a few shakes of parmesean cheese, then simmer about 10 minutes. There is no points in the spaghetti sauce, and minimal from the cheese. It is so good!!

Well, I hope everyone has a good week. Are we all keeping with our challenge? I am trying! Remember to drink and exercise!!
Talk to you all soon.

DeeDeeHoney- Thanks for the zucchini tip, I will try it soon!
Shella- Congrats on the big loss!
Day #1 with the FlexPts system went really well. It's not too different, but enough that it is interesting to do! Is anyone else using this system already?

DeeDee- I adapted your recipe for lunch today. (To what ingredients I had in the house) I steamed zucchini, broccoli, and cauliflower in chicken broth. Then I added Garlic Lover's Healthy Choice sauce, and added grated cheese. You said Healthy Choice sauce is 0pts?!?!?! I like that better than the 1 pt for 1/2 cup that I figured out, but that was using 0 for fiber.
You mentioned the big changes for WW a few posts back- I have all the new info, and its pretty cool.
How is your family doing???
