Super irritated this morning! My scale has been bouncing back and forth between 165/166 for over a week. I've been working out a lot and don't think I'm eating enough!

This morning I am SORE SORE SORE and my weight is UP 3 lbs. Is this normal when you first start weight training? I googled a bit and learned that muscle soreness is caused by water retention so I am going to drink lots of water today. I also did have corned beef for dinner. It was homemade (by me) but was still pretty salty so maybe it's a 1-2 punch from the weights and the salty food.

Kim, you've been working out like crazy! You probably do need to eat more to fuel your body.

I have 43 APs so far this week (I WI on Mondays) and I haven't touched them. I have used a few of my weeklies (have 35 left, so I've used 14 so far). Sometimes I wonder if I'm not eating enough, too.

I weighed in this morning, and am down 2 lbs this week. Not great, but I will take it!!
Spooky - I've always gained a couple pounds when I start working out, but by the next week its gone.
NSV for me today, my dad mentioned to me this morning that I look like I've lost some weight! No one in my family knows that I'm on WW so it feels good!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Jaedee - 2 lbs in a week is AWESOME and I would kill for that kind of weight loss. You should be proud! My average is just over a lb per week. Congrats on the NSV!

Yeah, the first week you usually see a bit more than 2lbs., but after that 1-2lbs. per week is what we should/like to see!

I don't weigh in until Sunday, but I'm hoping for a loss!

Thanks girls, I know it is good, but I was on ideal protein for so long and it is such big losses there (4-5 a week) that I miss that. But I also couldn't handle not eating anything but packages! I am enjoying my long workouts, and being able to eat something sweet once in a while! Thanks again, you have kept me on plan all week even though I don't post often!

Congrats on your WI and your ticker, Mercury!

I went to Zumba tonight. I almost didn't because my friends backed out and I don't really know enough to feel comfortable there by myself but I went anyway. A past colleague was there, so that was fun, and there were a lot of new routines, apparently, so nobody was perfect. My salsa is getting pretty good! I'm glad I went. (According to my new heart rate monitor I burned 505 calories in 50 minutes but I forgot to turn it on until after the second song had started.)

I have had 165 oz of water today (!) so hopefully that will help flush out some of the extra fluid and alleviate the muscle soreness from my weights workout yesterday.

Mercury ~ Congrats on the ticker!!! Definitely a cool accomplishment having that to maintain

Spooky ~ Great job on going to Zumba alone!!!

I had a training all day today that was amazing....I learned so much and it was very interesting!! Special education training that the school sends us on is usually not interesting and usually the same old information. But the food wasn't the best (they provided lunch). I went for a hour long walk when I got home and then my sister-in-law and I had a Friday night date night at the gym! haha So, I at least feel a little bit better about the crap I ate all day today!

I'm joining WW in the morning. I've really struggled with getting my head in the mindset that I've been ready to make the changes to my lifestyle to be successful. I think I'm finally there.

Welcome, Joanie!!

I am still sore this morning and my weight is still up. I weigh in on Monday night and hopefully it will be back to normal by then. I have the Zumbathon at the gym this morning and then I think I'm going to take the next couple days off and rest up for spinning and chisel on Tuesday (and working that night).

Hope you all have a great Saturday!
