    Hi there,
    I need a challenge to get me started. Is it too late to join your summer challenge??? I'd like to lose 25# by the beginning of summer. I know it's a late start, but if I do the S.Beach phase 1 for 2 weeks I think I can still do it. I probably won't get started till Wed. or Thur. as I have to shop for my foods to start phase 1, but please let me know if I can still join you. I need the support! Also, not to up on these boards & posts, etc. I'll try to find you, but what do you post under each week & what day do you weigh in on?

  • Kelly, WTG on the loss!

    Openheart, you are more than welcome to join our challenge. My only thought is that you are on the weight watchers board, so we are all doing weight watchers here. Perhaps you would get more specific feedback on your plan on the South Beach board? You can find it by going to the main "3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community Page" and then to the "South Beach Diet" section (right below weight watchers). Again, you are more than welcome to chat with us, but we won't be able to help you much with your eating plan. Aside from that, 25 lbs. is a lot to lose. Good for you if you can do it, just don't beat yourself up if you lose less than that.

    As for the posts, we will just keep posting on this one, so you can add a post to it anytime you want. Good luck!
  • So... did we survive the holiday? We had a houseful of people for blue berry pancakes and all that other fatty stuff that you associate with pancakes, some quiches (didn't tell them that I put egg beaters in them) and a wonderful fruit salad my sister brought. I think I did quite well, considering when you host a party you never eat right? I kicked them all out by 3:00 cleaned up the house, and was sitting down with a glass of Sangria at my sewing machine by 4:30. All in all a nice holiday.

    FuturePixie, I love Taco Bell - I pass one every day and I am always fighting my steering wheel to keep going straight. Kind of like a horse with blinders on!

    Openheart, if you are looking for a challenge with supportive people, this is the place. Hang out with us, I think we are pretty cool!
  • The Easter weekend wasn't a problem at all for me. I stayed within my points, drank my water, and exercised everyday. Hopefully it will show up on the scale on Friday morning.

    Congrats boaterswife on the 1.6 pounds you lost. You deserved the cake, don't sweat it.

    Here's to another great on plan day and hope you all stay with it too.

  • Thanks, Kim, I did enjoy the cake....A LOT! Back on plan today as well. I ate lunch at the mall, but it consisted of a Subway Sub for 6 points. I'm happy with that!! DD had Burger King, and my Mom had orange chicken. Both sounded good, but I was happy with my choices and that I ate it without any guilt. I'd have definitely had guilt with chinese food or fast food!

    I've been doing WW since last summer, but I've only recently began to have consistant losses. I need this challenge! I'm weighing in later today..I'd like to lose at least 10 pounds between now and June.
  • So I'm back from vacation! I had a great time!! I didn't stay on track 100%, but I did get some exercise in, and even though I didn't count points while I was gone, I did make better choices while we were eating out than I would have made last year. When I weighed this morning, I had only gained 2 lbs.
    Which made my day. I thought I'd gain at least 5 lbs. So overall the trip wasn't a total disaster.

    Congrats to all the losers!! There have been some good loses over the last week! WTG!!!

    Charity, congrats on reaching your goal in the 5K! I think it's amazing to even run a 5K. That's a goal of mine someday! So anyone that does one is amazing!

    Glad you had a good vacation Crazynette! I think only gaining 2lbs. is great - I always gain way more than that when I am on vacation!!! WTG! Plus, some of it is probably water weight.

    Welcome back from vacation Crazynette! Sounds like you had a great vacation.

    I am dog sitting for my brother this week and his little wiener dog likes to sleep IN THE BED with you. He really doesn't care who he sleeps with as long as he is between the covers. Where is he now? Sleeping with my 13 year old son, so I guess I won't see either of them until around noon.

    I hope you all have a great day today. My goal is to drink, drink, drink my water!

  • Thanks! I was thinking about just doing the S. Beach for 2 weeks to jump start my weight loss & get me off of the sweets then switching to W.W. I do think I'll join you. I think I am planning on starting tomorrow. Will let you know my weight. Good luck to you all.

    Well, I am leaving tomorrow for a conference in Chicago, so I weighed in today (3 days early) and I was down 2.8 lbs.!!! I am very happy about that! Now, if I can just not gain too much while I am out of town, that is always really tough for me!!!
  • OK, I have decided to just do the WW starting as of today. That way I can eat a wider variety of foods. Just have to watch points. Don't know what's changed since I last joined WW several years ago, but I have my materials from that time so will go with it. If anyone can think of any changes that I need to be aware of I would appreciate you letting me know about them. I really need this support. I am almost 59 years old & am back up to 172 as of this morning. My goal is 140# so I have 32# to lose & in order to make my goal by June 21st. I'd have to lose an average of 2.67#/wk. Don't think I can do that, but at least if I can get most of it off by then it will be wonderful. I'm looking forward to this challenge & to meeting new friends & gaining lots of support & hopefully giving support to others as well.     i too would like to join, I really need the challenge especially since I am now back at work and feel absolutely out of shape since having the baby. It was really depressing to try on the clothes I use to fit into and have almost none fit. I was enjoying the life of denial until I had to go back to work. I have rejoined WW...well i will be on it again this coming Wednesday but I thought I could just start here and update once I was on the program again.

    Today was pretty good for me. Stayed within my points and even tried roasted asparagus. Which was really good. I'm trying to expirement with different foods. I've been in a food rut and eating the same few menus a lot. I found I was getting really bored with my food. So my goal for right now is to try some kind of new food or new way to prepare a food at least twice a week. It's been kind of fun.

    Anyways I hope everyone is having a good day. Charity good luck at your conference. Liz how's it going with your water? I love weiner dogs, they are so cute!
