Wooo! this makes me very happy. My little fishy is just zooming across the ticker! Yay! Well, this day is totally getting away from me, so I gotta scoot and get some things done (including taxes- yech).
Way to go fogwoman and futurepixie!!!! Not a good week for me, but I have my first 5K tomorrow, so I am really excited about that! I think it is a great way to start my new week off right!
Charity hope you're feeling better and good luck on your 5K. That's something I've always wanted to do. Maybe someday.
I had a pretty good week! Feeling good! I'm a little worried about next week though. I'm going on vacation with my family, who don't always eat the greatest. So we'll see how that goes. I'm just hoping not to gain. I will be able to fit some exercise in, so that's good. So we'll see. I'll check in after I get back. Good luck to everyone!
Blah. Went to the doctor this morning for a sore throat and found out that I have tonsilitis. So for now, I'm focusing on getting better and taking good care of myself.
I lost 1.8 lbs since my last check in. I'm happy with that especially since the last few weeks have been more challenging than any others for some reason. Looks like everyone is off to a great start!! Congrats you bunch of losers!!
Crazynette, have a great vacation! Drink lots of water, that may help some! I know it is so hard for me when I am out of town, I wish you the best of luck!
Mama Angel, I hope you are feeling better soon! Tonsilitis must suck! Concentrate on feeling better.
Regina, WTG on the weight loss! Keep it up.
Ok, so here is my race report from my 5K today....
Well, I woke up this morning to rain. I was really hoping that it would be over before the race, and luckily, it was! So, by race time, no rain, and the rain had cooled things down a bit so it wasn't so hot. I was hoping to run the whole 5K, but soon found out that that would not be possible. The course was EXTREMELY hilly! So, I walked up most of the hills and ran the rest. I had started out hoping to come in under 38:00 minutes, but I figured there was no way I would be able to do that with walking so much. But, I finished in around 38:50!!! I was extremely happy with that time considering I had to walk about 1/3 of the time.
I have another 5K on May 5. That course is pretty flat, so I think I can beat my time by a lot!
OK...well I decided that I'm going to focus on my eating habits this month and making better food choices and working out more. So today when Jeremy (my Fiance) gets home, I'm leaving him with the baby and I'm gonna go sweat some! I'm upset because my scale went up 3 lbs just since I got sick. So I'm going to work hard on getting it down to under 250.
Kelly, I am sure that you will have a good loss next week. I notice that sometimes I am like that too, I will be OP all week and then lose only a small amount (or sometimes even gain!). This almost always happens when I increase my exercise. At any rate, hopefully it will catch up with you next week, and .2 is still not bad!
Mama Angel, good luck with your workout. How old is your baby? I have a 21 month old daughter (well she will be 21 months old in a few days). I went up in weight a little while I was sick too. What really sucked is that I was sick for a few days (had the stomach flu and couldn't keep anything down), lost a few pounds, then all of it came back (plus a little more) once I was feeling better! I also gained a little with my last cold! I guess our bodies hold on to more of our fat and food b/c we need it to get better. Hopefully you will easily shed these pounds (which are likely water weight) once you are feeling better.
As for me, when I checked the official race results, I found out that my time was really 37:56!!! So, I did make my goal - yeah!!! I can't wait for my next race. I ran and walked today, and earned 7 APs!!!
Charity, my daughter will be 15 months on the 13th. It's hard to believe how time flies once they get to where they can move and all. She's definitely a handfull now. She won't leave the trashcan alone and keeps turning my tv off or changing the channel on it! She does the "happy dance" where she'll stomp her feet when she does something right and she'll clap her hands and grin silly. I love the kid to death!
Awww, they are so cute once they reach that age!!! DD has finally learned "garbage" so anytime we have something that needs to be thrown away she wants to do it! She loves it! She is probably glad that she finally gets to "play" with the trash can, since we spent so long telling her no!
