Hi again. Hope somebody joins me here. I miss everyone!!! I went to my meeting last night. I had gained 3 while in Minnesota and was down 2.2 last night. So, that put me at 171.6 I feel pretty confident that I will lose this week. I want to so badly. Missing the gym today because my son has a field trip with his Pre-K class. We are going to a Museum. I am looking forward to it.

Breakfast
oatmeal 3pts

Have a great day!! Hope to hear from you guys soon. --Amy

Hi buffalosister1,

I don't believe I posted here before but I am trying to post more often and in more threads if I'm able.

Did you mange to lose the extra bit that you gained while on vacation? I have just rejoined two weeks ago for the umpteenth time. Hopefully I can make it work this time.

Nice meeting you!

Hello Kim!! Thanks so much for the post. I have not lost the gained weight from vacation. In fact, I skipped meeting on Tuesday because I am up even more. My scale here at home reads 174. GRRR........ I have not been able to get fully back on program for some time now. I am really trying today though. I "confessed" to my husband last night. He is really supportive no matter what I am doing be it good or bad. Anyway, I will start journaling my food here again if you are interested. Let me know. Nice to meet you too.

Nibs~CONGRATULATIONS on the huge loss. That is fantastic!! I did better yesterday but not perfect. Today has been much better. Well maybe not.

breakfast
2 slices light bread 1pt
jelly 1pt

work out at the gym. 20 minutes cardio (100 calories)
30 minutes with trainer (200 calories)..

so far so good. RIGHT????

well..........lunch
my sister hand her mother in law invited me and my two kids to lunch. We went to a place at our mall called Ruby's Diner. They have the best shakes there. So I had one and I had a salad that had egg (maybe 1) and sliced bacon on it. I had a honey mustard dressing and dipped in it instead of pouring on the salad. I am going to guess 7 or 8 points for the salad. Who knows on the shake 10?????

Good news is I went shopping for some shorts. This is good news because I bought none. I am right smack dab in-between a size 12 and 14. For some reason I feel pretty motivated now. I really want to be a 10. My cousin is getting married on May 19th. I would LOVE to be able to get a cute halter type dress. My body needs a make over before that though. So, I have just over a month to do it. I am considering doing boot camp at my gym too. It is three days a week for 6 weeks. We would meet from 5:30 to 6:30am. I would be home in time to get kids ready for school and start my day. I want to do it but not alone. We will see if I can get the guts to do it. Anyway, thanks for listening. Will check in tomorrow.

You can get down to that size 10 if you really put your mind to it Amy. I feel the same way. I have my fathers 65th birthday party in June, one of my best friend's wedding in July, and another cousin's wedding in August. I want to be into a smaller size so bad I can taste it. I don't want to spend another summer hating the idea of putting on a pair of shorts.

I am also going on a trip next Feb. to the Dominican so I want to look good in a bathing suit since that's all I'm planning on wearing....LOL

You didn't do too bad with your eating....The salad sounded good and not too bad in points. The shake...I don't know. But sometimes when you really want something you are better off giving in and having it because if you deprive yourself of it you could end up sabotoging yourself.

Good luck tomorrow staying OP and I'll post sometime tomorrow when I get up. I'm at work until 8 AM.

Good morning, afternoon, or evening Kim. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am at a point where I really need them. We ended up going out to eat last night. We went to a fast food chain called El Pollo Loco. I got a Pollo bowl. I think it was a better choice for what they offer. I was still way over points last night. I am going to stay OP today. I even have a birthday party to go to and am not worried.

Breakfast
light bread with 0 pt butter 1pt
hard cooked egg 2pts

I am going to run some errands this morning before the party. I hope to go alone and have some "me" time. I really need it. Plus, I am hitting a craft store and don't really need the kiddos there with. Have a good day/night.

Hey Amy, I just wrote up this big post and lost it. AHHHHH I hate it when that happens.

Have fun today with your me time. We all need that every now and then.

Last night don't sound as if it was that bad. Stay OP today as much as you can though and get your water in.

Better get going and get a coffee to wake me up more.

Hello. Happy Easter! Just checkin' in one last time for the weekend. Did okay yesterday. I stepped on the scale this morning like I always do and it is down to 172.6 (from 174.something). So, things are now going in the right direction. I am thinking about joining boot camp at my gym. It is three days a week from 5:30 to 6:30 (YUK!) but I think it would really help me get this last bit of weight off. I tend to eat much better the more I work out. I don't want to work out for nothing.

Here is some info on me.........

In mid January of 2005 I signed up at my gym with a friend. I prepaid for one year at the gym and one year of personal training once a week. I made no food changes at this point. Eventually we worked up to two days a week with the trainer and then three. I lost about 25 pounds just exercising. Then, in January of 2006 I joined weight watchers. I have been a member ever since and don't intend on quiting. I want to make lifetime and continue going to meetings.

That's the "health" info about me. As for the rest.........I am a stay at home mom of two. Next school year I will be seeking some sort of employment as both kids will be in school all day and we are going to get a swimming pool. This summer will be bitter sweet. I am excited to earn some money but sad that my kids won't be with me during the day. I guess we have to let them grow.

Share some info about yourself when you can. Have a good one. --Amy

Hello there. Just wanted to write to say that I am having a very good day. Thus far my "head is back in the game". When I was shopping Saturday I could not find my regular flavor of instant oatmeal. I settled for the same flavor with 50% less sugar. Well, it turns out it is 2 points instead of 3! And though it is less flavorful, it will due just fine. That will help me quite a bit I think.

Breakfast
oatmeal 2pts!

gym
burned 300 calories. I even stayed a bit after my workout with the trainer to get a smidge of cardio in. Felt great. I am going to shower now and have a healthy snack. Will post the rest of the day later.

Have a good one. --Amy

Hey Amy,

Great job on the workout and that's wonderful you found an oatmeal that is a point less than you have been eating.

I am finshed my nights now for a while so I can come back to the land of the living...LOL I have only had a cup of coffee since I got up today so I wil;l be down on my points today but that's ok. It happens when I come off nights because I won't spend tonight snacking like I would at work.

A little about me:

I have joined Weight Watchers about 20 - 30 times I think, and I am not kidding. I have always had a weight problem although not a huge one. Being only 5 foot tall, the least amount of weight would show up on me big time. My mother wasn't the greatest supporter I ever had but I have to admit she has come around. She has always been tiny, so has my sister and dad, but since age is creeping up on her she finds that she can now gain weight very easy and has to watch it. She has become a good supporter since.

I have a 15 year old son who demands my attention like you wouldn't believe. He has ADHD and is a real mama's boy. I live with my boyfriend of 7 years and he has fit into the role of father figure to my son so that's a plus.
He is also a great supporter when it comes to me losing weight. He has seen me and my heaviest (173) and at my lightest (123) but loves me regardless. He knows that losing the weight will make me happy so he tries to help me as much as he can. He can be my downfall though at times too

Anyway I went back to Weight Watchers almost three weeks now and I want this weight off. I do not want to spend another summer dreading to put on a pair of shorts or skirt. I will lose this weight and spend the rest of my life with a new lifestyle that will keep me happy and healthy. Now that don't mean I won't have my burger and fries every now and then...

Well, dinner is over and I just had my first OP day in some time. I am a bit afraid for the evening though. I am going to go for a walk with neighbors to curb any sweet attack I may have now that dinner is over. Here is how I ended up today......

breakfast
oatmeal 2pts

work out
burned 300 cal.

lunch
light bread with mustard 1pt
tuna 2pts
100 cal cheetos 2pts

a beer I said no twice. Then they brought me one opened. 2pts

dinner
1C mac n cheese prepared light version 6pts
little smokies 4pts
little smokies in a "blanket" 2pts
green beans 0

That's 22 out of 22. I am still using the points from the old system. When they came out with the new materials several months ago, I got to go up to 25. I decided I would stick with the 22. However, I always eat a 2 or three point snack on workout days and don't count them in. This is partially because I earned extra points and also because in theory I could have 25. Anyhow......hope your day went okay Kim. Welcome back to the land of the living. Are you on a rotation where you will have to go back on nights eventually?
