Your day today sounded great Amy. Foodwise you stayed within your daily points so thats wonderful.
I feel the same way as you do about the new system. By the new one I'm allowed 27 points. That is when I work anyway. I get 6 points for working in nursing but I don't do that every day so the points would fluctuate. I am staying at 22 until I hit 150 and then going back to the 20. Some days I may have a couple extra if I need them.
I am on days now for 5 weeks. After that I have to do another 3 weeks of alternating days and nights. It's not too bad. Two nights together is alot better than three. That third night kinda takes the good out of you. I was too tired today to even get on the treadmill. I'm hoping to be up by 7 AM tomorrow morning and get my day started good. I have to go and get my son anyway and we have an appointment for haircuts tomorrow. I may even do a little something extra tomorrow evening to make up for not exercising today...We'll see.
Eating wasn't the best for me today even though I stayed within points.
Hi Kim and hi Paige. Good to hear from you Paige. Would love to hear from several people around this thread. Happy to have you join. I am thankful Kim started posting here. I was just about to give up on this thread. Anyway, I am having another good day. I feel good.
breakfast
oatmeal 2pts
skipped the gym because I had a Dr. apt. I am being tested for Lupus and other autoimmune disorders. I am pretty confident I don't have anything like that. But I guess I better find out. Take some fasting blood work on Thursday and have been referred to a rhuematologist(sp?).
lunch
lt bread with mustard 1pt
ham 1pt
baked cheetos 2pts
oh I had an iced grande non fat no whip mocha from starbucks too 2pts.
I am making chicken enchilada casserole for dinner. I calculated all the point values for each ingredient and will divide the total by the amount I eat. Should be about 6 points per serving.
Anyway, time to get my daughter from school. Enjoy the rest of your day

Good evening. I am back from my meeting tonight with good news!! I skipped last week because I knew I was going to gain. I was down a pound today!! Yippee!! I am at a new low. Previously it was 170.8. Now I am at 170.6. Next week I promise to be in the 160's. Here is how the rest of my eating went........
Dinner
chicken enchilada casserole 4pts
rice(not a full cup) 4pts
baked tostido chips 2pts
very small (mini) golden spoon frozen yogurt 1pt
That's 21/22.
Hope you guys had a good day. --Amy
I just saw you were posting at the same time Kim. My dentist referred me to my family doc due to some gum issues I've had for over a year now. It is not a gum disease or anything. He ruled that all out. He said the cells are destroying eachother or themselves or something. My family doctor then asked about joint problems or muscle aches. I have both but attribute both to my exercise. We will see. Thanks for the well wish.

Amy there are going to be days like that when life just gets in the way of everything. The main thing is you stayed within your points and that's good. This plan is all about eating what you want and like. I know we are suppose to eat healthy and get in our veggies and stuff but some days we have to have a day like you did. I've had them myself.
mpaigew, you'll have to post your recipe for the low fat chicken pot pie. I love it but can't find a good recipe to follow (low fat).
I have to weigh in tonight and I will be treating myself afterwards. I told DS that we can go out for supper afterwards his pick. He's looking forward to that. Trying to have a "special" day for us today. We are doing his room and the spare room over right now (my Dad is helping me since Duane is away working). Putting down lamanate flooring, painting, new bedding, etc. He has sort of a childish comforter and hockey stencils in his room right now and I want to make it more grown up....afterall he will be 16 this summer.
Good morning girls! I'm a little embarassed to post what I ate yesterday...I only went over 1pt, but I ate the same thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We had leftover chicken pot pie, so I had some of that for breakfast (I'm not big on breakfast type foods)...then lunch came around and it looked pretty good...then I had night class and got home a little after 8, and was too lazy to make anything else! At least it had lots of veggies in it. =)
Kim...here is the recipe. It is from the Light & Tasty 2007 cookbook. It has SO many good recipes this year; I would highly recommend it! You can buy it from the Taste of Home website.
1 can reduced-fat condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 can reduced-fat condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 1/4 cups fat free milk, divided
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp poultry seasoning
2 pkgs (16 oz each) frozen mixed veggies, thawed
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast (I used about 1lb total)
1 1/2 cups reduced-fat biscuit/baking mix
1/3 cup egg substitute
In a large bowl, combine soups, 1/2 cup milk, thyme, pepper and poultry seasoning. Add veggies and chicken. Transfer to a 13x9 baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray.
In a small bowl, stir the biscuit mix, egg sub and remaining milk until just blended. Drop by 12 rounded tablespoonfuls onto chicken mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-50 min.
Yield-6 servings
Per serving: 342 calories, 5g fat, 7g fiber
I think next time I might try it with my own biscuit recipe instead of Bisquick, but this was still really good.
Thanks for the recipe mpaigew...I'll have to try that real soon.
Hey Amy, what's up?
I weighed in tonight and I lost 3.6 pounds this week....YAHHHH!!! I am proud of myself and I worked hard for that. I will continue to do the same for next week too.
Good Job on staying on plan Amy. I know what you mean about TOM...It's here too.
Ds wouldn't go with me today. He had sports to watch. Oh to be 15 again with NO worries. I bought him home Mcdonald's. Yuck...I had some too and I have been running to the bathroom since . Not a very good meal.
I am getting on the treadmill first thing tomorrow to get this next week started.
I think I may go to bed myself in a few minutes. I'm quite tired too and I want to get up a little early in the morning to get my day started.
Have a good day tomorrow and I'll talk to you then.
I'm around...I'm about to head off to my first (well, not really) meeting. I think this is now my 5th attempt at the meetings! At least this time I've been doing 3FC since Sept, so hopefully the meetings will just re-enforce.
