I should be talking to my doctor relatively soon - I have to turn in my log for her to review this week. So - I am going to ask her.... I may end up getting my meds changed though - because my sugar levels have been INSANE.

I can definitely do the cottage cheese and fruit - that is one I definitely like. As far as who I would trust first - you are right the body-builders - they are the ones that have put in the blood sweat and tears to earn the living proof of what works.

Fran - Have you considered going in and getting the blood test? But - I AM keeping my fingers crossed that you have a super efficient ultra burning furnace!!!!

Penney, blood test for what? Or just to see if my hormone levels are changing or something? Nah, what can you do about it, it's inevitable and something you can't really prevent, so..... and I don't want any hrt or medication for it, so it would just be like saying, ok, thanks, bye! I have to go in in March for a test and I may get blood work done then just to see how my overall levels have improved since losing weight - hopefully there will be another large chunk gone by then. I am feeling better -- I think it may really come from just having more vrrroom in my motor than I am used to. I also keep my house very chilly in winter (67) so it literally is a big adjustment to go somewhere that is 72 and crowded, pushing it up to a relative 75 or so. Thanks for your concern for me though, I love that. I was just wondering if you meant testing for something else I'm not aware of.

That is exactly what I was talking about... Although - my sister-in-law did not do HRT - she did herbals and that is what I plan on doing.... when they did my blood tests two months ago - they let me know that one of my hormones levels is low and I am 36, guess I am following in my family's footsteps .

That is huge change in environment... 75 in December? Where did you go? I thought VA was bad this year.... Between your furnace running hotter and being in a different environment that probably is it.....

That's what the temp must have been on the train I was in last week, and that's the temp in our Y!! I saw the thermostat tonite - set to 72 and it was actually 76 in there. Or the reverse - but at any rate, it's alot warmer than where I keep it in my house. I would rather pile on the layers than pay for gas, but lately, that hasn't even been a problem with our warm december.

Morning! How's everyone hanging in during this season?

I had my free personal trainer interview yesterday. It was fun ... and interesting. Got a lot of ideas.

The one that's fooling with my head the most is the notion that I should be eating more. So I guess it's back to fitdaying on a regular basis and seeing how I can pump up those cals. Normally I would really enjoy a study session like that but it's the wrong time of year for me to sit at the computer

I'm hangin' in here. I moved from my protein smoothies to 5 meals/day and was still hungry for each new meal, so that was a good sign that I was still on plan. Then we had the salad day, then the last 2 days I really wasn't hungry at all, had no appetite and ate very little. But the scale is going up. I am increasing my ub and lb weights, but I'm not naive enough to blame it all on that. So, I would say that I currently reside in somewhat of a land of confusion.

Land of confusion + holidays = yup we're all a bit messed up.
January will be better, right?

Edited to say ... I did get more protein powder. You shamed me into it

Hmm, hopefully! Bought the Christmas fixins last nite. Now, it's only for the 4 of us, but I bought, a spiral ham end, potatoes for mashing, dinner rolls, mrs. smith's deep dish apple pie, vanilla icecream, coolwhip..... hmmm... my traditional holiday desert. Hot pie a la mode! Also bough c&c icecream, but that's more for dd's than me. So far I'm ok on eating - not great but not overkill. (IE, instead of having my 5 meals and the dunkin donuts, i skip the meals and just have the donuts! ) Exercise is good too, that's if I get down there and do a lbwo and cardio today!

How was the bench? I bet that was so much fun.... I looked at one while I was out shopping....

I picked up some more exercise videos - I get bored easily with cardio - so now I can do something 7 days a week and no excuse to get bored....

I don't have very many weights - because fact is - I can life much higher numbers on nautilis style equipment - but when it comes to free weights - geez I am a wimp!! But one day - I will be able to hang out with the big kids.

Oh- I have been walking for a couple of weeks now. My spouse has been talking to me about jogging with him - (more of a walk, jog, drag if you ask me) anyway - he has talked me into working towards a road race in the spring. I must be crazy!

I have to go back to work tomorrow - for the first time - I honestly do not feel like it...

Default OH! I forgot something....

I cannot BELIEVE that I forgot this - it was one of the main reasons I had for getting on today....

This was just so cool! The scales still have not moved at all....

But - I tried on this red sweater - that I have not been able to wear for months.... I got it last winter and outgrew the darn thing

I can now wear it - it is not too tight - my husband and kids all told me it looked so nice on me - believe me - if it was too tight - my daughter would have told me - she is 14.

HAPPY HAPPY!!!!
