I am exactly where you are. There is so much power in when you share the truth. Now that we have said it we can go ahead and keep moving forward. I am scared of all the same things but I'm also scared of to keep doing what I've been doing and getting no results. I started out losing weight with the South Beach Diet. I lost 30 lbs, I've kept if off but I haven't lost anything else and I actually needed to lose 100 Lbs. I was running and spinning with no weights for 5 months and didn't lose a pound.
One thing that I read is that long-duration aerobics alone won't produce results like short, intense cardio and weight training together will ( BFL). Also the more aerobics you do the more muscle you catabolize so it's actually better for building muscle to do less cardio. I have also read that long-duration cardio will increase the appetite and may lead to a tendency to eat more calories than needed. With all the information that I've read I feel like Bill Phillips is on the right track. Keep the cardio short and intense and the weights intense and fat loss will happen. Take it from someone who was training for a marathon for 4 months and never lost a pound. That type of training can be very frustrating to an overweight person like me. I enjoyed every bit of running for 2 hours plus but in the end when I didn't lose any weight, I was very discouraged. I'm so glad you are here

. We can do this together and encourage each other.
